Huckberry: Up to 40% off Winter Sale

We’re now closer to March than we are to (last) Christmas. So despite the enormous storm which just tore up half the U.S., winter is, allegedly, gonna start winding down. At some point. Maybe.

Which is why Huckberry has launched their annual Winter Sale clearance event.

Free shipping kicks in at $98, but returns are at least easy and free minus any outbound shipping costs if you didn’t hit $98 OR if it’s one of the rare final sale items. Anything tagged as final sale can’t be returned or exchanged. Let’s dig in.

Relwen Sweatshirt Trap Blazers – $187 – $201 ($268)

Grey = $201. Navy or “Brown Loden” = $187. Relwen’s line of sporting-heritage inspired trap blazers are something of a legend. They take details like game pockets and tab throat closures, and combine those features with easy wearing modern construction and seasonal fabrics. These are their latest, made of a double faced, sweatshirt-like cotton jacquard. So it’s a “swazer” that should look great with everything from an OCBD to a t-shirt.

Made in England Sanders Suede Chukkas – $280 ($350)

From the same people who brought you the favored-by-movie-stars Hi Top Suede Chukka. Only these are a little dressier thanks to a more subtle (but still crepe) sole. Ships/returns for free. Sold in UK Sizes, so make sure you use the conversion chart.

USA Made Wool lined Waxed Truckers – $250 ($358)

Their flagship flannel lined (not wool lined) waxed truckers are still at full price, but the extra-toasty wool version is getting an extremely rare discount. Limited sizes/limited stock. These should move pretty fast.

Flint & Tinder Slim Fit Architect Shirt – $58 ($98)

A basic button down which isn’t boring. Donegal flecks. Overbuilt with details like reinforced elbow patches and a bi-swing construction in the back for additional shoulder movement. Four colors. Shown at the very top of the post in “Natural.”

LUCA Terra Slip On Chelsea Sneaker Boot – $168 – $180 ($225)

Extremely comfortable. Made in Portugal using Italian suede uppers and French Lactae Hevea rubber outsoles. They go with everything casual to smart casual, they’re modern without looking goofy, and they’re well made. Make sure to hit them with some good quality stain/water protector before taking them out on any major spins, and you’ll be good to go. Shown immediately above is the Canyon Brown suede option for $168. The lighter, “Desert” suede is shown at the very top of the post, and those are priced at $180.

Flint & Tinder Boiled Wool Chore Blazer – $148 – $173 ($248)

Proof that winter may, at some point in the not terribly distant future, come to a merciful end. These didn’t go on sale much if at all over the last few months. Because they don’t have to to sell well. Boiled wool is dense but still breathes and regulates temperature. Cut and style are a perfect meld of rugged and smart casual. Debuted a couple years back, and they’ve added colors since due to demand. Now one of their annual bestsellers.

72-Hour Merino Polo Shirts – $59.50 per IF you buy 2 ($70/$88)

L: Stone Black. R: None-more-Black, Black.

Currently $70 on sale, but drops to just under $60 per as the buy-two-save-15% deal stacks on that discounted price. Same merino-blend fabric as their excellent 72-hour t-shirts. They really are perfect for travel, or even every-day wear if you’re the type who doesn’t love how regular cotton tees and polos feel and hold onto sweat. These breathe, wick, and since they’re merino wool based, they’re naturally anti-microbial. You can wear one for three days straight without feeling or smelling gross. Only gripe is the collars don’t really have enough structure (or a button down style collar) for wearing with a blazer or sportcoat unless you button the top button.

Relwen Quilted Insulated Tanker Jackets – $222 – $238 ($318)

Pretty uncompromising. Nylon/cotton shell kicks that cheap “sheen” seen on other quilted jackets to the curb. Peached finish gives it that perfect look and feel. Pockets. So many pockets. And the interior is anything but forgotten. Ships and returns free.

Proof 72-Hour Merino Chino – $106 ($178)

Shown at the very top of the post in olive

Spendy but exceptional. Straight or Athletic Tapered fit. Perfect for travel, and can pass as a smart pair of trousers even with the (ridiculously convenient) welt phone pocket on the back right leg. Gusset for ease of movement. Fabric is a 47% Merino Wool, 33% Nylon, 14% Polyester, 6% Elastane blend that moves great, but does make a light “swish swish” sound. They’re still the pants you may want to be wearing for the zombie apocalypse, the next time you’re moving house, or a long travel day with a business meeting at the tail end of it. And for a fit perspective, know that a 32×32 straight fit works for my 5’10″/180 frame after a quick trip to the tailor for a 1″-1.5″ hemming on the legs. Those of similar height may be able to easily get away with a 30″ inseam. Ships/returns for free.

Flint and Tinder Corduroy Pants – $82 ($118)

‘Tis the season to put seasonal pants on sale. Straight or Athletic Tapered fits. Whiskey brown, washed black, taupe, or dusty moss.

Made in Portugal Wills Garment Dyed Stretch-Cotton Blazer – $102 ($228)

Was hovering in the $140ish – $180ish sale range. Now just a nudge over $100. Ships/returns for free. More basic than the Wellen Trap Blazers. Which is great if you’re not looking for something that straddles the line between heritage-sporting and modern sportcoat. Just want a more casual leaning, cotton (97% cotton/3% spandex) blazer? Then this one is worth a shot. Unlined back. Patch pockets. Reviews seem to indicated it might have some wonk to the fit, but taking it to a tailor may solve that.

USA Made Danner Bull Run Lux Chelseas – $187 or Moc Toe Boots – $202 ($250 – $270)

From the “lux” Huckberry collaboration. Oiled suede uppers, wedge soles, and a debossed Huck tree on the ankle.

Flint & Tinder York Quilted Waxed Jacket – $178 ($298)

Four colors. The brilliant midpoint between a waxed jacket and a quilted jacket. Gray, Dark Navy, Olive, or Brown.

Charcoal/Black GREYS Wool Outdoor Slipper Boots – $59 ($108)

$49 off? That’ll do. Perfect house shoes that are plenty substantial enough to handle quick trips to take the garbage out, get the dog in, etc.

Made in the UK Peregrine Merino Wool Cardigan – $184 ($264)

A serious splurge, but no one knows dreary weather (and the house-sweaters to be worn during long stretches of such) like the Brits. Shawl collar. Merino wool. Good size selection left at post time, but if they have limited stock, then these could go fast.

The James Brand Martindale Money clip – $96 ($129)

Perhaps an end-of-January reward for sticking to your New Year’s Financial/Budgeting Resolution?

“You’re suggesting spending money on an impulse buy as a way to stay disciplined with spending?”

Right. Good point. Rad money clip, tho.

USA Made F&T Flannel-Lined Denim Trucker Jacket – $208 ($298)

Like their waxed truckers, these denim jackets are cut and sewn in the U.S., have a toasty flannel lining, and should break in over time too.

Proof ARC Pants – $69 ($138)

Huge fan of Huckberry’s house brand, Proof. They make technical, capable gear which is both smartly designed and smarter looking than their granola-munching competitors. These pants are made from a micro canvas fabric tough enough for the outdoors, but doesn’t look out of place dressed up a touch. Articulated knees, diamond gusset inseam, and a discreet drop pocket on the right back leg (perfect for your phone.)

Relwen Windzip Jackets – $187 ($268)

Another bestseller from Relwen. Less “field” than the Tanker, more casual-city-to-outdoorsy quilted. Water-resistant, lightly insulated (60 gram), moves well, and breathes. Great for layering, or on its own during transitional weather.

Rhodes Vibram 430 Mini Lug Lace Up Boot – $160 – $187 ($268)

Please read our Shoe Expert’s Review. Warning: It seems like something may have gone sideways, recently, with the Huckberry house shoe/boot brand Rhodes. Sure the materials are still great and they’re still made in the shoe/bootmaking hub of Leon Mexico, but the fit got wonky on these. Specifically, they’re too tight/run small/the insoles are overly thick and crowd the interior of the boots. And if you read some of the customer reviews on other models from this past season’s Rhodes run, it seem as though that issue may not be confined only to these service-style boots. Dang. Really have loved Rhodes for years now. Hopefully they figure this issue out fast. (A lot of us have happily switched to LUCA, which are impressively comfortable.) At least these Rhodes ship & return for free, if you wanna take a shot.

Flint and Tinder Italian Moleskin Shirt Jacket – $149 ($298)

Heavier than a flannel, but not some gigantic Mountain-scaling puffer. Somewhere in that great swath in-between. Soft, brushed cotton moleskin fabric sourced from Italy. Diamond quilted with Primaloft insulation.

F&T Stretch Selvedge Denim – $94 ($118)

There’s no break-in time, the weight (11.7 oz) is great for year-round wear, and they come in the four “HB” fits a lot of us have gotten used to (HB Slim, Athletic Tapered, Straight, and Classic). These are Flint and Tinder’s selvedge for the denim heads who don’t want to spend multiple hundreds on super-artisan jeans. Translation: these are made in China.

PROOF 72-Hour Merino Short Sleeve Henleys – $78 ($98)

Navy or Black. Know that they fit trim. A size large fits my 5’10″/180lbs perfect after washing/drying, whereas a medium is too small. Here’s why these are actually worth the price: Made from an odor-resistant and wicking merino wool blend which is also machine washable (and machine dryable as long as you can tumble dry low/keep an eye on it…) these henleys can go for three days of straight wear without starting to smell or feel funky. So they’re really three shirts in one. That’s why they were a must-add in our ol’ “what to pack when traveling light and in style” advice post.  The collars are great too, with those matte black snap buttons.

Walden Passage Sunglasses – $69 ($99)

These had been final sale, but at post time they’ve been moved back to regular sale, which means they can be returned. Which is key when buying eyewear over the internet. Just make sure they don’t slide ’em back over to final sale before you click “buy.”

Flint & Tinder 365 Pants in select colors – $86 ($108)

On-sale prices range from $70 – $86, but the vast majority of colors that are on sale are at $86. It just depends on the fit and color combo you’re after.

Even on sale they’re clearly not cheap like a pair of Old Navy 5-pockets, but they sell so many pairs of these things they almost never feel compelled to put them on sale. The build quality, the fabric, and the fit(s) are enough that they have garnered legions of fans who pay full price. So to get any sort of sale, especially in colors like Washed Grey and Washed Black and even Evergreen seems like a treat.

F&T The Jackson Quilted Jacket – $159 ($228)

F&T’s take on classic 1970’s style mountain-wear. Navy or Evergreen. Not made in the USA like their waxed truckers and rancher jackets. These are made in Vietnam.

LUCA Terra Moc Chukka Sneakers – $140 ($200)

Was on sale for $170, now down to $140. Chukka/Sneaker/Moc hybrids made with incredible materials and a real attention to detail in terms of construction. And comfortable. Really comfortable. A bestseller. Almost 5/5 stars after 200+ reviews.

F&T Fine Merino Sweater Hoodies – $88 – $103 ($148)

“Hoodie, but make it wool.” Blue is $103. Gray is $111.

Flint & Tinder James Waxed Snap Jacket – $138 ($198)

Like a lightened up version of their famous Waxed Truckers. Note that these aren’t made in the USA. Exterior is 11.9 oz Halley Stevensons Dry Finish Waxed Cotton Canvas, the cut is neither too slim nor too lose, and it’ll break in with wear to your individual usage.

Proof 72-Hour Merino 5-Pockets – $133 ($178)

Same fabric & colors as their 72-hour chinos, just made in a different pocket style. Also: These are only on sale in athletic tapered. Straight fits are full price. Not quite sure why they’re more expensive on sale ($133 vs $103 for the chino style), but that’s the nature of an end-of-season sale. It can get a little random.

LUCA Leather Terra Low Sneaker in Pebbled White/Off White – $156 ($195)

Made in Portugal. The materials and overall design are really impressive. Full review of a different (not on sale) color scheme can be found here. That pebbled white leather upper, off white sole, and leather heel tab looks all kinds of right.

Flint and Tinder Reversible Quilted Bomber – $136 ($228)

It’s two, two, TWO jackets in one. Colors are “Maple Brown” & “Black Coffee.” Which is far better marketing than using digestive-tract related descriptors. “This is my jacket. Some days I wear the #1 side out. Other days, #2. Life doesn’t have to be boring.”

Novesta Marathon Trail Retro Sneaker – $132 – $141 ($189)

Shades of the old Victory Sportswear Speedrunners… only not so darn expensive. Two colors. Made in Slovakia.

F&T Quilted Waxed Shirt Jacket – $144 ($288)

Flint and Tinder Quilted Waxed Shirt Jacket

Half off. Still ships and returns for free. British Millerain waxed canvas. Not made in the USA like their famous waxed trucker, but looks great from here all the same.

Nalgene 32 oz Wide Mouth Sustain Water Bottles – $11 ($16.99)

In case you’re tantalizingly close to their $98 free shipping threshold, don’t want to shell out the extra five bucks for shipping, and could use a new water bottle. Literally drinking out of one of these as I sit here, hammering away at the keyboard.

Flint & Tinder Rough Out Trucker – $558 ($798)

That’s quite the suede jacket. Not cheap, but suede or leather jackets aren’t cheap. Clearly (well) over the $98 free shipping threshold, so this ships and returns for free like a lot of the other stuff. But that’s always a plus when it’s an investment item like this.

Huckberry’s big Up to 40% off Winter Sale is set to run through Sunday 2/8… but as this is an end-of-season sale, expect a lot of this stuff to sell out (at least in popular sizes and colors) well before that.

Huckberry: Up to 45% off Winter Clearance Event

Pretty sure half the Huckberry team is most of the way up a mountain right now, and that’s good for us. Because like leaving a porch light and table lamp on while you’re gone, they’re running a sale in their absence. Y’know, to make the place look a little more alive. (Beware the Wet Bandits!)

It’s a select items sale, with lots of new items just added to their sale section. “Up to” 45% off, with lots of cold weather gear getting cuts. But that’s not a bad thing, being that we’re just hitting the first days of true astronomical winter.

Free shipping still kicks in at $98, but returns are at least easy and free minus any outbound shipping costs if you didn’t hit $98 OR if it’s one of the rare final sale items. Anything tagged as final sale can’t be returned or exchanged. Let’s dig in.

Flint and Tinder Boiled Wool Chore Blazer – $186 ($248)

More sweater than sportcoat, but as it’s boiled wool it’ll have a tighter feel to the fibers and thus a little more structure. A smart casual to casual style standard, made in an excellent for fall and winter material.

LUCA Leather Terra Low Sneaker in Pebbled White/Off White – $126 ($195)

Surprised to see them on sale for this deep of a discount, even if it’s not exactly prime white-sneaker season. Made in Portugal. The materials and overall design are really impressive. Full review of a different (not on sale) color scheme can be found here. That pebbled white leather upper, off white sole, and leather heel tab looks all kinds of right.

Seiko 5 Sports GMT – $321 ($495)

White dial with a blue GMT hand and two-tone 24-hour bezel. Automatic movement. For a price perspective, the more common blue/black (review here) is going for $357 on Amazon at post time, with white dials only being fulfilled by 3rd party. In terms of authorized sellers, the same watch (at post time) is stuck at $445.50 at Macy’s. So yes. Nice price. While they last.

Flint and Tinder Corduroy Pants – $76 – $88 ($118)

‘Tis the season to put seasonal pants on sale. Straight or Athletic Tapered fits. Whiskey brown, washed black, taupe, or dusty moss.

Relwen Sweatshirt Trap Blazers – $187 ($268)

Relwen’s line of sporting-heritage inspired trap blazers are something of a legend. They take details like game pockets and tab throat closures, and combine those features with easy wearing modern construction and seasonal fabrics. These are their latest, made of a double faced, sweatshirt-like cotton jacquard. So it’s a “swazer” that should look great with everything from an OCBD to a t-shirt. These sportcoats also recently got featured over here.

PROOF 72-Hour Merino Short Sleeve Henleys – $78 ($98)

Navy or Black. Know that they fit trim. A size large fits my 5’10″/180lbs perfect after washing/drying, whereas a medium is too small. Here’s why these are actually worth the price: Made from an odor-resistant and wicking merino wool blend which is also machine washable (and machine dryable as long as you can tumble dry low/keep an eye on it…) these henleys can go for three days of straight wear without starting to smell funky or feel gross. That’s why they were a must-add in our “what to pack when traveling light and in style” advice post. So they’re really three shirts in one. The collars are great too, with those matte black snap buttons.

Made in Portugal LUCA Chelsea Sneaker Boots – $180 – $191 ($225)

Lighter “Desert” suede pair is $180. Darker “Ravine” suede is $191. Literally wearing a pair right now as this is being typed. Admittedly a bit odd at first glance, as they’re not quite a sneaker but not a boot either. Yet once you get a pair of something like these, you may find yourself wearing them all the time. They’ve got some substance, they look good with lots of smart casual stuff (from tees and jeans to cords and swazers), and as they’re a slip on, they’re easy to leave by the door and quickly transition into when you get home if you so choose. They’re also substantial and capable enough for wearing all over the place, and my own personal pair have taken a real beating in the last year (and they show no signs of giving up). That natural latex sole has all kinds of comfy “squish.” 5/5. Love these dang things. Fit perspective: Sold in whole sizes only, and my normally 10.5 D feet take an 11 in these. They fit great.

Flint & Tinder 365 Pants in select colors – $81 – $86 ($108)

Price depends on the color and fit combination you’re after.

Flint & Tinder Slim Fit Architect Shirt – $58 ($98)

A basic button down that’s not boring, thanks to the charcoal gray herringbone + donegal fabric. Overbuilt with details like reinforced elbow patches and a bi-swing construction in the back for additional shoulder movement.

Flint & Tinder Rough Out Trucker – $558 ($798)

Was stuck on sale in the $600s, but now with a fresh reduction and $240 off. That’s quite the suede jacket. Not cheap, but suede or leather jackets aren’t cheap. Clearly (well) over the $98 free shipping threshold, so this ships and returns for free like a lot of the other stuff. But that’s always a plus when it’s an investment item like this.

Rhodes Footwear Vibram 2060 Wedge Chelsea Boot – $210 ($248)

Well those look like substantial shi crap-kickers. Suede uppers, Goodyear welted, lightweight Vibram 2060 Sport outsole, and handcrafted in León, Mexico. RE Sizing: they suggest sizing up by half as they tend to fit a little small. At least they ship and return for free.

Flint & Tinder Wool-Blend Fisherman Sweater – $109 ($168)

Also shown at the very top of the post in “bone.” 65% wool/35% nylon, bobble-stitch with some “oomph” to deliver all the fisherman-sweater feels. Three colors.

Proof 72-Hour Merino Chino – $106 ($178)

Spendy but exceptional. That said (or heard?)… they’re the pants you may want to be wearing for the zombie apocalypse, the next time you’re moving house, or a long travel day with a business meeting at the tail end of it. And for a fit perspective, know that a 32×32 straight fit works for my 5’10″/180 frame after a quick trip to the tailor for a 1″ hemming on the legs.

Proof 72-Hour Merino 5-Pockets – $133 ($178)

Same fabric, same colors, different pocket style. Not quite sure why they’re more expensive and only on sale in the athletic tapered option, but that’s the nature of an end-of-season sale. It can get a little random.

Barbour Powell Quilted Jacket – $210 ($300)

A slimmer, more modern cut compared to many of Barbour’s other quilted jackets. Insulated with 50 gram polyester fill.

Barbour Lowerdale Quilted Vest – $136 ($195)

And some Barbour vests. Also claims a slimmer fit compared to their more generous, heritage fit pieces.

LUCA Terra Moc Chukka Sneakers – $170 ($200)

Chukka/Sneaker/Moc hybrids made with incredible materials and a real attention to detail in terms of construction. And comfortable. Really comfortable. Another bestseller. Almost 5/5 stars after 200+ reviews.

Made in Portugal Wills Garment Dyed Stretch-Cotton Blazer – $148 ($228)

More basic than the Wellen Trap Blazers. Which is great if you’re not looking for something that straddles the line between heritage-sporting and modern sportcoat. Just want a more casual leaning, cotton (97% cotton/3% spandex) blazer? Then this one is worth a shot. Unlined back. Patch pockets. 50% off helps too. Reviews seem to indicated it might have some wonk to the fit, but taking it to a tailor may solve that.

Vans Premium Authentic Sneaker – $53 ($75)

Never out of season… if you pull a Fred Rogers and swap out your outdoor shoes for indoor sneakers when you hit the threshold every day.

F&T Fine Merino Sweater Hoodies – $103 – $111 ($148)

“Hoodie, but make it wool.” Blue is $103. Gray is $111.

USA Made F&T Flannel-Lined Denim Trucker Jacket – $208 ($298)

Their waxed truckers are still at full price (and not expecting a sale anytime soon) but these denim jackets are cut and sewn in the U.S., have a toasty flannel lining, and should break in over time too.

Ten Thousand Versatile T-Shirts – $46 ($58)

Ten Thousand is a 3rd party brand Huckberry sometimes carries, and they’re a new(er), spendy, technical apparel outfit which has carved out a nice audience within the ultra/cross training/work hard & play hard community. Think of them as lululemon, only with calluses on their hands and dirt under their fingernails. They make a LOT of stuff in black. And dark gray. And other grays and greens. Which is why their on-sale colors are often like those seen above (not black or dark gray).

F&T Quilted Waxed Shirt Jacket – $172 ($288)

Flint and Tinder Quilted Waxed Shirt Jacket

British Millerain waxed canvas. Not made in the USA like their famous waxed trucker, but still looks great from here.

72-Hour Merino Polo Shirts – $70 ($88)

Same merino-blend fabric as their excellent 72-hour t-shirts. They really are perfect for travel, or even every-day wear if you’re the type who doesn’t love how regular cotton tees and polos feel and hold onto sweat. These breathe, wick, and since they’re merino wool based, they’re naturally anti-microbial. You can wear one for three days straight without feeling or smelling like you should be confined to quarters for lacking proper hygiene. Only gripe is the collars don’t really have enough structure (or a button down style collar) for wearing with a blazer or sportcoat unless you button the top button. But the polo + sportcoat/swazer look isn’t everyone’s particular cup of style tea, so these are still very much worth a mention.

Novesta Marathon Trail Retro Sneaker – $151 ($189)

Shades of the old Victory Sportswear Speedrunners… only not so darn expensive. Three colors. Made in Slovakia.

F&T York Quilted Waxed Jacket – $208 – $223 ($298)

Four colors. The brilliant midpoint between a waxed jacket and a quilted jacket. Cheapest option is the gray shown above. Dark Navy, Olive, and Brown are $223.

Bellroy Via Workbag – $94 ($135)

Finding a decent casual to smart casual work bag for under $100 can be a challenge. Slim but spacious. Black and gray. Lots to like in a minimalist but smart design.

Wellen Seawool Fisherman Crewneck Sweater – $79 ($158)

One of Huckberry’s bestsellers.

“The heck is Seawool?”

Good question. It’s a yarn spun from, wait for it, pulverized oyster shells and recycled plastic bottles. 50% recycled polyester, 20% viscose, 20% nylon, 10% wool.

F&T Stretch Selvedge Denim – $94 ($118)

Flint and Tinder’s selvedge jeans for the denim heads who don’t want to spend multiple hundreds on super-artisan jeans which to justify their insane price tags have been hand massaged and woven in a hyperbaric chamber. Or something. Translation: these are made in China. There’s no break-in time, the weight (11.7 oz) is great for year-round wear, and they come in the four “HB” fits a lot of us have gotten used to (HB Slim, Athletic Tapered, Straight, and Classic).

F&T The Jackson Quilted Jacket – $159 ($228)

F&T’s take on classic 1970’s style mountain-wear. Navy or Evergreen. Not made in the USA like their waxed truckers and rancher jackets. These are made in Vietnam.

Proof 72-Hour Merino UPF Hoodie – $110 ($138)

Another 72-hour merino pick, this time their hoodie. Not bulky, no kangaroo pocket up front, and thumbholes at the cuffs keep the sleeves in place. And like all the other 72-hour gear, the merino blend wicks and breathes and has natural anti-stink properties.

Rhodes Vibram 430 Mini Lug Lace Up Boot – $201 ($268)

Looks great, but the fit will be wonky for some. See Adam’s review (our shoe expert) here. At least they ship/return for free.

Relwen Quilted Insulated Tanker Jackets – $222 – $254 ($318)

Pretty uncompromising. Nylon/cotton shell kicks that cheap “sheen” seen on other quilted jackets to the curb. Peached finish gives it that perfect look and feel. Pockets. So many pockets. And the interior is anything but forgotten. Ships and returns free.

Matador GlobeRider Travel Backpack – 45L – $262 ($350)

For the serious travelers, adventurers, etc. Heavy duty, waterproof, a full internal frame, and has a good amount of space (22” x 11” x 12⅞). Cushioned, breathable back panel, shoulder straps, and padded/breathable hip belt for added comfort/those long treks with your gear on your back.

Flint and Tinder 365 Utility Blazer – $158 ($198)

Gah. Price is right and it looks good on the screen, but it could very well be suffering from a shorter than average tail AND functioning sleeve cuff buttons. So if you wanna take a flyer on it, go for it, but if it shows up and fits poorly in the length of the tail and/or sleeves, know that there’s not much a tailor can do about either of those issues (assuming the sleeve cuffs really are functioning).

Huckberry’s big Up to 45% off Winter Clearance Event is set to run through New Year’s Day… but expect a lot of this stuff to sell out (at least in popular sizes and colors) well before that.

Huckberry: Free Shipping No Min. (ends Sun.)

Anyone who has been to the post office lately knows shipping around the holidays isn’t easy. Nor is it cheap. So it’s a minor miracle that Huckberry’s normal, flat-rate base-shipping fee is $4.99. YET! Five bucks is five bucks. (Profound analysis!) And since free (U.S. contiguous) shipping with Huckberry doesn’t usually kick in until you hit $98, this free shipping no minimum promo means anything under $98 is presently & effectively on sale for just about five dollars off.

Also know that their shipping rates start to creep up come Monday. Bottom line: It’s go-time.

Y’know what feels good? Getting stuff done with time to spare. Let’s get some things done. All picks below are under $98:

PROOF 72-Hour Merino Blend T-Shirts – $78

No better time than now to see what all the fuss is about. They really are perfect for travel, or even every-day wear if you’re the type who doesn’t love how regular cotton t-shirts feel and hold onto sweat. These breathe, wick, and since they’re merino wool based, they’re naturally anti-microbial. You can wear one for three days straight without feeling or smelling like you should be confined to quarters for lacking proper hygiene. Machine wash cold, tumble dry low. Just know they could shrink a little after the first wash. Enough so that most will want to consider sizing up in the performance “slim” fit. I’m usually a medium in most t-shirts, but with the 72-hour line a size LARGE fits my 5’10″/180 perfectly after it’s been washed and dried the first time.

72-Hour Merino Polo Shirts – $70 ($88)

And the polos. Only gripe is the collars don’t really have enough structure (or a button down style collar) for wearing with a blazer or sportcoat unless you button the top button. But the polo + sportcoat/swazer look isn’t everyone’s particular cup of style tea, so these are still very much worth a mention. And they’re on sale for less than the t-shirts. Black and stone black have lots of sizes. Other colors are picked over at post time.

Walden Airman Sunglasses – $49 FINAL ($99)

In case you got the red pair (as featured here) like a lot of us did and want to pick up a second color. They’re certainly stylish and stand out a little bit, yet they’re not silly, oversized, or droopy like many other aviation inspired sunglasses. Final sale on these. No returns or exchanges.

Aged & Ore Travel Decanter – $68

Because the hotel room mini bar is expensive. Too expensive. Always has been. Jerks.

GORUCK Packable Bullet – $75

From the very smart designers at GORUCK, this is a super light weight daypack which smushes down into an 8″ x 7″ x 3″ pouch for easy packing. Because dragging your wheelie carry-on up those foothills when going for a quick hike on your next trip probably isn’t the best idea.

Craighill PVD Coated Titanium Money Clip – $35

Black PVD coated titanium. So it’s nice and lightweight. Looks “the business” and then some. Go ahead and throw a fiver in there, just as a reminder for the $4.99 you didn’t pay for shipping today.

Mexico 1492 Hand Blown Agave Decanter – $60

Holy smokes that thing is beautiful. Makes even the most ardent, non tequila/mescal drinker reconsider those libations (*remembers that one tequila soaked night*) …uh …nah. Incredible decanter though.

Flint & Tinder 365 Pants in Evergreen – $70$86 ($108)

On sale only in the dark evergreen shade. Which luckily is perfect for this time of year, and also appears to be muted enough for use during the non holiday months.

Huckberry Made in Japan Acrylic, Wool, Nylon, Spandex Beanie – $30

Huckberry wool hoodies

These hats are terrific. Japanese fabric is just the right weight. Knit feels good and strong too. Sometimes beanies can look good but then slouch and/or shrink. Not these things. 10 colors to pick from.

Made in the USA Flint and Tinder 365 Belt – $85

Available in dark brown, chestnut, tan, or black. They’re what you’d expect. Meaning: nice leather, versatile good looks (casual to smart casual use), and should last and last. Solid brass hardware.

Made in the USA Flint and Tinder 365 Roughout Belt – $85

Roughout suede. Made in the USA. Just two colors (black and tan). Fingers crossed they eventually make these in something a little more versatile, like a medium brown.

USA Made Concrete Soda Can Vase – $45

Somewhere there’s a craft beer drinker with a green thumb who’s gonna love that. Made in Houston.

USA Made Flint and Tinder Vintage Soft Wash T-Shirts – $38 or 3 for $96.90 ($118)

For those who truly try to buy American Made when they can. Thirty eight bucks for a basic tee is obviously steep, but Flint and Tinder really cares about their goods, and their USA Made stuff has plenty of happy customers. (See their bestselling waxed trucker jacket.) Also, you can save a bit more by bundling and buying three at once. The 3-for-$96.90 deal will save you $17 most days… but that $96 bundle price is just under the usual free shipping threshold of $98. Yet with today’s free shipping deal, that’s another $4.99 you’ll save on top of the $17 by way of bundling. Still works out to $32.30 a shirt. Which is way too much for those who are just fine with picking up a $10 tee at Target. And that’s totally understood.

The Pathfinder N/A Spirit – $40

Dry January is approaching fast. This is the best non-alcoholic “spirit” on the market. And it’s not close. Acts much, much closer to a rich, full bodied, distilled spirit with a long finish. Try it and you might find yourself hooked. Which is a funny thing to say about a booze-free bottle of “booze.” Dark in color and full/complex in taste, it doesn’t try to replicate whiskey or rum or Scotch, but is more of a digestif bitter style. Still has some sweetness but isn’t overly sugary. Mixes great for mocktails or easing off the gas for lower ABV cocktails. And unlike other NA spirits, you can absolutely sip and enjoy this stuff on the rocks or neat.

Made in the USA Waxed Canvas Apron – $79

For the grillers, the cooks, the woodworkers, and the crafters of all kinds. 7oz. Martexin Original Waxed Sailcloth from New Jersey. Cut and sewn here in the United States. Will wear in over time like, oh I dunno, a favorite waxed trucker.

Something for her out of their Gift Guide for Women

Time’s running short. And if you’ve got a gal on your list whom you’d love to give a gift to this holiday season, then try not to panic. The Huckberry Gift Guide for Her really is a nice resource. At the very least, it’s full of idea starters. (Shameless plug for one of our recent posts: We made a gift guide for her too. Check that out here.)

The Huckberry Free Shipping No Minimum event ends this Sunday, 12/14. And know that Monday is when shipping rates go up due to the holiday rush. So, there’s that.

Huckberry: 15% off Sitewide Annual Sale https://dappered.com/2025/11/huckberry-15-off-sitewide-annual-sale-2/ Wed, 12 Nov 2025 12:12:20 +0000 https://dappered.com/?p=276016 Heads up: Buying via our links results in us getting a commission (not always, but just about), which helps keep the lights on around here. Huckberry 15% off Almost Everything (ends 11/14)

For years now, Huckberry has been a source for hard-working, high performing gear that also looks really really good. They don’t run many sales, so when they do it’s big news. No code needed. 15% off applies in your cart. Note that there are some significant exclusions, but the majority overall is getting the 15% off, including hardly ever on sale items from their in-house brands like Flint and Tinder, PROOF, as well as lots of the USA Made gear they have on hand.

Free shipping kicks in at $98, but returns are at least easy and free (minus outbound shipping costs if you didn’t hit $98). Let’s get on with the picks. Remember, this ends today, 11/12/25 Friday 11/14/25 at midnight Pacific Time.

Correction: They’re running this for three days. Coulda sworn this used to be a 24-hour only event. Sorry about that. Some of the more popular/limited stock may sell out before then though. Bottom line: this runs through Friday 11/14 11:5p pm PT.

Made in the USA Flint and Tinder Waxed Trucker Jacket – $253.30 ($298)

Full review can be found here. They’ve gotta be the most popular thing Huckberry carries. These jackets are built extraordinarily well, made here in the USA, and they’re hardly ever on sale. 7 oz waxed sailcloth canvas exteriors are weather resistant and age like selvedge denim. The wear patterns they create over time are individual to the owner. Which means they’ll break in to your shape, and become even more comfortable with each use. They’re lined in a super-soft blanket-striped lining, so you can wear them over just about anything (even just a t-shirt). But they’re warm enough to wear in the colder months, extreme temperatures not withstanding. Available in regular or tall sizes, and they’re even making a women’s version these days.

Hamilton Khaki Field Murph 38mm – $845.85 ($995)

Stunned they’re offering any kind of savings on Hamilton watches. And the Murph is included? Brilliant. Almost $150 off. And if you’re pining after the version with the stainless steel bracelet, don’t worry. Hamilton sells those separate now so you can pick one up over there and have the best of both worlds.

Made in the USA Flint and Tinder Soft Wash Tees – $32.30 ($38)

The newest USA made tees from Huckberry and their Flint and Tinder brand. Clearly not cheap like something from Target or Amazon or Old Navy, but they’re 100% cotton (heather gray is 90% cotton/10% poly), garment dyed, and now at least a little bit less spendy with the 15% off.

Flint & Tinder 365 Utility Blazer – $168.30 ($198)

The casual to smart casual blazer for guys who want to wear something a little extra (but not too much.) 98% Cotton, 2% Spandex. Unlined. Even has side tabs to dial in the fit. Five colors.

LUCA Leather Terra Low Sneaker in Pebbled White/Off White – $165.75 ($195)

Sneaker splurge anyone? Made in Portugal. The materials and overall design are really impressive. Full review of a different color scheme can be found here.

Flint and Tinder 365 Pants in Slim, Straight, or Tapered Fit – $91.80 ($108)

Not cheap yet absolutely has a dedicated fan base. 5 pocket style, feels like a chino, but engineered and woven with 2% spandex for stretch. Garment-dyed, soft, 98% cotton that’s pre-shrunk and ready to become a favorite right away. Note that while once upon a time they were made in the USA, they no longer are. Haven’t been for a couple of years now. Nine colors to choose from. $92 doesn’t make for a cheap pair of pants, but Huckberry has sold shed-loads of these things. Head here for a full review and to see how slim, tapered, and straight fits compare side by side.

And if you’re like “wait, didn’t these used to be $98 full price?” You’re right. They’ve gone up in price. Thems be the times though.

Made in the USA Flint and Tinder 365 Belt – $72.25 ($85)

And the belt born of the success of the 365 pants. Something you can wear pretty much every day with almost anything. Available in dark brown, chestnut, tan, or black. They’re what you’d expect. Meaning: nice leather, versatile good looks (casual to smart casual use), and should last and last.

Made in England Sanders Suede Hi Top Chukka Boots – $267.75 ($315)

Huckberry to the the rescue, with their with free (contiguous) US shipping at $98, and free returns. Because for the longest time you couldn’t get a pair of these made in the UK, super-comfortable, mega-versatile chukkas without taking a major risk with overseas shipping. Ordering direct through Sanders is great, but over there they go for around $305 + ~$50ish shipping (depending on exchange rate)… PLUS you’d be on the hook for international returns. Meaning if they show up, don’t work out, and you have to ship them back… you could be out-of-pocket a boatload. Not with Huckberry. Full review here.

Flint and Tinder Boiled Wool Chore Blazer – $210.80 ($248)

Back for another year. Chore blazers are often the perfect extra layer. Smart looking but still casual and not structured or stuffy. Boiled wool is a perfect fall/winter fabric. It’s dense (wind and water resistant) but still breathes and moves with you. Combine the two and you get what could be one of the best new releases Flint and Tinder and Huckberry have had in a while. A few different colors to choose from.

Hamilton Khaki Quartz Field Watch – $378.25 ($445)

Full review here. Three colors to pick from. Mechanicals/automatic watches are great, but let’s be serious… we all set our mechanical watches to a quartz when they run out of power. This is a heck of a quartz. Sandblasted case, simple styling, looks and feels great.

Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical 38mm – $573.75 ($675)

“Quartz is great. But do they have the mechanical too?”

Yes they do. Manual wind mechanical movement. 80 hour, yes 80 hour power reserve when fully wound. Full review here.

PROOF 72-Hour Merino Short Sleeve Henleys – $83.30 ($98)

Know that they fit trim. A size large fits my 5’10″/185lbs perfect after washing/drying, whereas a medium is too small. Available in blue or black.

PROOF 72 Hour Merino Blend Tees – $66.30 ($78)

PROOF 72 Hour Merino Blend Tees

“Okay I get you can wear these for three days straight and they’re great for traveling and all, but they’re pricey. So I’m not paying extra for a henley. Are the t-shirts on sale too?” Yes they are. Don’t forget to size up if you take the original slim fit.

Made in Portugal LUCA Chelsea Sneaker Boots – $191.25 ($225)

Two colors of suede or the leather shown above. Literally wearing a pair right now as this is being typed. Admittedly a bit odd at first glance, style-wise (they’re not quite a sneaker but not a boot either). Yet once you get a pair of something like these, you may find yourself wearing them all the time. They’re perfect for those who don’t wear their “outside” shoes inside the house, yet also don’t want to schlep around in slippers all the time. They’ve got some substance, they look good with lots of smart casual stuff (from tees and jeans to cords and swazers), and as they’re a slip on, they’re easy to leave by the door and quickly transition into when you get home. And that natural latex sole has all kinds of comfy “squish.” 5/5. Love love love these dang things. Fit perspective: Sold in whole sizes only, and my normally 10.5 D feet take an 11 in these. They fit great.

LUCA Terra Desert Sneaker Chukkas – $182.75 ($215)

Ah c’mon. They’re making a chukka now too? (Chucks wallet across room to avoid buying the new chukka.) Also made in Portugal.

Huckberry Made in Japan Acrylic, Wool, Nylon, Spandex Beanie – $25.50 ($30)

Flat out terrific. Japanese fabric is just the right weight, and feels good and strong. Sometimes beanies can look good but then slouch and/or shrink. Not these things. Price is nice and affordable too. 11 colors to pick from. A great stocking stuffer/free shipping threshold balance “tipper.”

Filson Dryden Ballistic Nylon Briefcase – $165.75 ($195)

Full review here. An excerpt: “think of the Dryden Briefcase as the chukka boots of your daily carry gear, where the Original Briefcase is more akin to your favorite pair of heavy duty workwear/heritage boots. Depending on the day’s adventure, one option might be better utilized than the other.”

Aged & Ore Travel Decanter – $57.80 ($68)

Because travel, more than ever, can be a real chore.

Huckberry Weekender Sunglasses – $46.75 ($55)

Affordable sunglasses that look and perform better than some junk you got on a convenience store spinner rack. Polarized lenses too. Perfect for winter time, since glare off snow can be irritating and then some. Sizing seems to be on the smaller side of medium. So if you’ve got a big noggin, these might be a pass.

Relwen Quilted Tanker Jackets – $270.30 ($318)

One of their bestsellers because it’s a jacket that’s “all the things.” It’s a field jacket, it’s a quilted jacket, and it’s both modern and timelessly “sporting” all at once. Peached cotton-nylon exterior with a water and stain resistant coating. Box-quilting and lightweight  recycled poly fill insulation for warmth without bulk.

Relwen Windzip Jackets – $227.80 ($268)

Another outerwear option from Relwen. A little “less” than the Tanker… less money, and less visually. Stretchy, breathable, water resistant, and lightweight. Perfect on its own for transitional weather, and should do great under a heavier coat or jacket for layer-worthy coldest snaps.

Flint and Tinder Quilted Waxed Shirt Jacket – $244.80 ($288)

Flint and Tinder Quilted Waxed Shirt Jacket

British Millerain waxed canvas. Not made in the USA like their famous waxed trucker, but still looks great from here. Also available in grey or green.

Faherty Cotton Blend Inlet Knit Blazer – $193.80 ($228)

When you want to dress up but you don’t want to look really dressed up, the “swazer” (aka the knit blazer/sweater hybrid) is your best friend. This one appears to have just enough structure. So it’s not wimpy like a cardigan cut in the shape of a blazer, but it’s not basically a blazer masquerading as something else. Right in-between = just right.

Whiskey Peaks Denali Decanter – $21.25 ($50)

“I don’t know what to get my pal XYZ”
Does XYZ drink?
“Yeah. He likes ABC.”
Get him this, and a really nice bottle of ABC.

PROOF Rover Pants – $100.30 ($118)

PROOF (Huckberry) Rover Pants

  • Size Shown: 32×30 STRAIGHT fit on 5’10″/185
  • Fabric: 73% cotton, 25% Sorbtek, 2% lycra
  • Gusseted? YES!
  • Do they make a “Swish Swish” Noise: No. Absolutely not.
  • Extras: Slim, Straight, or tapered fits. Six colors with some not-the-norm shade options. Dart seams behind knees aide in movement. Sorbtek claims extra wicking capabilities, while rest of fabric makes for a harder-wearing canvas work style pant.

A bit more “adventure-y” than the Flint and Tinder 365. They’re made with something called Sorbtek, which helps regulate temperature and wick moisture. 73% cotton, 25% Sorbtek, 2% lycra is the blend. And second, the gusseted crotch makes for ease of movement. Garment dyed for that worn in but not worn out look. The stretch is miles ahead of an average pair of Dickies, and the gusseted crotch is a very, very big deal for those of us who move around quite a bit while wearing our chosen trousers. Make sure you wash them separately on cold since excess pigment can bleed out for the first couple of washes. Wear the hell out of them though.

Made in Italy Astorflex Brownflex Chukkas – $212.50 ($250)

Full review here. Scored a 4.5/5 from our shoe expert, Adam. Made in Italy, nice materials, and a step up in quality from other cheaper desert boots. A few different colors of suede to pick from, and some smooth leather options (one with a rubber studded sole) too.

Seiko Prospex “Alpinist” SPB117 – $637.50 ($750)

A modern take on what was quite literally Seiko’s first (circa 1959) sports watch, but refined enough that it can easily be a smart casual or even dress watch here in 2023. Could sell out.

Wellen Wellknit Joggers – $56.10 ($88)

On sale and getting the additional 15% off. Soft, stretchy, and a clean ankle (no scrunchy elastic) so they look a little more polished than most other joggers. AND they have an inseam gusset.

Walden (Huckberry) Airman – $46.75 FINAL ($99)

Probably the shades of 2025. They feel solid in the hand, the acetate frames are super smooth, and this red tortoise pair is a perfect lookalike (without the droopy/enormous lenses) to the pair the main character in that one race car movie wears. On sale and the 15% off stacks. Final sale. No returns or exchanges.

The 15% off Huckberry just about sitewide sale ends Friday 11/14/24 at 11:59pm PT. Also note that they do usually run some cyber week specials for Black Friday. Who knows what will be in that batch in a couple weeks. They might not even know yet, until they see how this 15% off annual sale goes. That’s the game though, right?

Huckberry: Extra 15% off Sale Items (ends 9/1)

Sale’s on sale for Labor Day over at Huckberry. An extra 15% comes off almost all sale gear once the item goes in your cart. No code needed UNLESS it’s from their Wellen brand, which is getting an additional 30% off with the code SWEAT. Word is Wellen is merging with another one of their performance brands, PROOF, so they’re clearing out the Wellen branded stuff. It doesn’t stack with the extra 15% , nor does it stack with bundle pricing. But just know that Wellen stuff is an additional 30% off with SWEAT, whereas (almost) the rest of Huckberry’s sale items are an extra 15% off, no code needed.

A reminder that free shipping kicks in at $98, and returns are free on just about everything, unless it’s a (very) rare final sale item. Off we go with the picks.

Wellen Performance Lined Hybrid Swim Trunks/Shorts – $46.20* w/ SWEAT ($78)

*NOTE: (in case you skipped the intro paragraph like everyone does) Wellen is merging with PROOF, another Huckberry brand, so to clear out the old Wellen branded stuff they’re offering a quiet 30% off on all Wellen stuff with the code SWEAT. It doesn’t stack with the extra 15% off sale items deal, nor does it stack with bundle pricing, but still… under $50 for super comfortable, do anything/go anywhere even-in-the-water shorts is pretty darn great. They get so many things right about “hybrid” shorts other brands get wrong. Bottom line: they perform just as good in the water as they do out.

Wellen Perforated Short Sleeve T-Shirt – $38.50 w/ SWEAT ($64)

Not cheap, but the anti-microbial finish keeps them stink free, the micro perforations keep you cool, and the soft knit fabric keeps things comfortable no matter what tasks are tackled. 92% Polyester, 8% Spandex. Again, use the code SWEAT to save 30% off, instead of the in-cart 15% off deal.

Made in the USA Red Wing Beckman Cigar Excalibur – $339.15 ($400)

Well that’s weird. Full price is $400 so it’s “on sale” for a buck off at $399 (one dollar Bob!), and then the 15% off did apply in cart when tested. For now. Probably for now. Might not apply at some point.

Taylor Stitch The Emerson Blazer – $159.80 ($298)

An unlined, cotton blazer with a bit of character. Three button front, garment dyed, unlined, and made with a mid-weight 9 oz fabric. Patch pockets on the exterior, but no interior pockets. When they say unlined, they mean it. Should look great with a t-shirt. Clearly looks good with an OCBD (as shown above).

Godinger Dublin 5 Piece Whiskey Set – $28.05 ($55)

Classic, brilliant-cut unleaded crystal barware. Not bad for under $30 (plus shipping, unless you trip the $89 free shipping threshold with more items).

Flint & Tinder 365 Shorts – $48.45 ($68)

Bye bye, shorts. See you next year. Which is precisely when they’ll be back to full price, so if you like F&T’s 365 shorts, now’s not a bad time to pick some up if you budget to spare.

Flint & Tinder Cotton-Linen Chore Coats – $117.30 ($198)

For when you want an extra layer to throw over a t-shirt, henley, or polo, yet a blazer or swazer would seem to much… and a hoodie would feel/look too schlumpy. That’s where chore coats excel. That and they really do work great when you’re getting chores done. Pockets to put stuff in, lighter in weight and breathable, etc.

Walden (Huckberry) Airman – $54.40 FINAL ($99)

Classic shapes, cool colors, good quality. That’s where Walden, Huckberry’s house brand of upgraded quality shades fits in. Really, really like these shades. They’re a retro Airman style with a keyhole bridge which somehow doesn’t go overboard on sizing. Referenced over here. Really nice quality. Final sale though. No returns or exchanges.

Walden 51mm Passage Sunglasses – $49.30 FINAL ($99)

And now the wayfarer style. Note: Price is for the non polarized option. And it looks like all on-sale Walden sunglasses are final sale at this point.

Wills Retro Stitch Johnny Collar Polo – $83.30 ($128)

Camel, Blue-Grey, or the Forest Green shown above. A sweater polo splurge. Wear it with white or light gray pants and some smart loafers. 53% Cotton, 35% Polyester, 6% Viscose, 6% Nylon.

LUCA Terra Slip On Chelsea Sneaker Boots – $146.20 ($215)

Made in Portugal. Bought them, love them, have worn the ever lovin’ be-geezus out of them with everything casual to smart casual and that’s why they’re a bit beat up looking in the above shot. But isn’t that just “patina”?? They’re too easy and too comfortable not to wear all the time. If you’re in-between sizes, size up. My normally 10.5 D feet take an 11 in these and they fit great. And that hand-pressed Lactae Havea cup sole is as comfortable as they come.

LUCA Terra Slip On Suede Chelsea Sneaker Boots – $146.20 ($215)

And the suede version with the off-white sole. Would look right at home with some beat up chinos and a favorite t-shirt.

Flint & Tinder Short Sleeve Button Downs – $34 – $39.95 ($68)

Now much easier on the wallet. Button down collar keeps the points wrangled as the day wears on. Select colors/patterns. That “rust leaves” shirt on the left is a nice, different spin on the usual geometric patterns or tropical florals. Sizes are scattered depending on the color/pattern.

Made in Maine Easymoc Camp Moc Moccasin – $252.45 ($350)

Spendy even on sale, but Mainers know their camp mocs & other classic outdoor footwear. It’s a scientifically proven fact that every child born in the state of Maine shoots out of the womb wearing a pair of camp mocs, holding a paddle, and slaloming through it all like a pro. “It’s a boy WHOO LOOK AT HIM SHRED!”

Rover EDC Pant – $70.55 ($128)

Absolutely love these damn things. Got a pair on a whim, then immediately got a second pair. They’re a go-to for long days. Super comfortable lightweight performance canvas (who knew all of that was possible?) which really does breath well and stretches but can also stand up to kneeling/hiking/jumping etc. Gusseted for ease of movement. All the right pockets in all the right places and somehow they’re nowhere near as visually intrusive as a standard pair of cargos. Available in athletic tapered or slim fit. My 5’10″/180 thicc-thighs take a 32×32 in the athletic tapered, but I do cuff them (just one flip) to bring up the extra slack. Would love to see these made in a straight fit at some point.

Flint & Tinder Midweight Terry Cardigan – $45.05 ($98)

A perfect extra layer for late summer/early fall, and good for layering up with when it gets truly cold. Made with the same style knit cotton usually reserved for sweatshirts.

Made in Italy Astorflex Boat Shoes – $135.15 ($245)

Odd that they chose natural crepe rubber for the soles being that crepe is know to not provide traction on slick surfaces (desert boots with crepe soles can hydro plane). But they look good! Just don’t go trying to jump from one boat to another only to end up as squashed fish food.

Relwen Tropical Trap Linen/Cotton Blazer – $164.05 ($298)

55% Linen, 45% Cotton. Relwen’s “trap” blazers have become something of a legend. They’re based in old-school sporting blazers (which is where the term “sportcoat” came from), yet they’re totally contemporary at the same time. They do tweedy fabrics in the fall and winter, and lighter/airy fabrics for spring and summer. Ships/returns for free.

Flint & Tinder Quilted Chore Coat – $108.80 ($198)

Chore coat style, outerwear specs.

Boone Wedge Chelsea Boot – $137.70 ($250)

Bring on boot season! Please. Made in Leon Mexico.

Roark Journey Short Sleeve Shirt – $39.10 ($66)

100% organic cotton, a few different fun patterns, and old-school wood-like buttons for vintage vacation shirt style.

Wellen Wellknit Joggers – $46.20 w/ SWEAT ($88)

Another item where you’ll want to use the quiet/secret 30% off Wellen gear SWEAT code. That code won’t stack with the 15% off in cart, but it’s clearly a better deal. So use it. Soft, stretchy, and a clean ankle (no scrunchy elastic) so they look a little more polished than most other joggers. AND they have an inseam gusset. Anti-microbial too.

Rhodes Goodyear Welted Harrison Chukkas – $112.20 ($220)

Scattered sizes. From Huckberry’s deservedly well liked house brand Rhodes. Goodyear welted. Looks like the uppers are a waxed suede. Comes with an extra set of black, flat waxed laces. Would look great with chinos and a polo, jeans and a t-shirt, etc. A step up from Clarks Bushacres for sure.

PROOF Equator Hybrid Shorts – $70.55 ($98)

Spendy, but one of their bestsellers. Has all the pockets and design elements travelers and adventure-seekers want in some lightweight shorts. Pretty sure they’re unlined though.

Flint and Tinder Boiled Wool Chore Blazer in Grey – $161.50 ($238)

L, XL, and XXL left at post time. “Wake me up, when (August, &) September ends.” Because at that point it’ll be October and something like this wool chore blazer will feel great. Unstructured but made with boiled wool so it’ll have a bit more heft while still remaining breathable.

PROOF Nomad Joggers – $53.55 ($98)

The Nomad material isn’t quite as nice feeling as lululemon’s Warpstreme (PROOF feels a little more synthetic than the oddly “normal” feeling of lululemon’s warpstreme twill)… but it also doesn’t cost nearly as much. And these STILL come with a gusset for ease of movement.

Rhodes Tyler Chukkas – $121.55 ($220)

Sizes are limited, but they’re always worth a mention when these get any kind of markdown. Full review of the suede option can be found here.

Flint and Tinder The Jackson Quilted Jacket – $100.30 – $108.80 ($198)

A puffer, but a retro puffer. F&T’s take on classic 1970’s style mountain-wear. Four colors to pick from including navy, “teak,” brick red and dark forest green. Not made in the USA like their waxed truckers and rancher jackets. These are made in Vietnam.

Relwen Canvas Chore Coat – $141.10 ($238)

75% Cotton, 25% Linen. A light extra layer that can do it all. Perfectly placed pockets, butterfly lined in the back, and three colors to choose from.

The Huckberry Extra 15% off Labor Day Sale is set to run through, you guessed it, Monday 9/1 (Labor Day).

Wellen Performance Lined Swim Trunks – $56.10 per when you buy 2 ($78)

Shown at the very top of the post in “agave cloud

Here’s how this works:

Not bad for a bestseller.

Huckberry Wellen Steal Alert 81325

Some of us live in these things during the warm/hot seasons.

They’re brilliant. They get everything right that so many other brands get wrong about “hybrid” swim/hike/workout “adventure” shorts. They’re just as good in the water as they are out. They’re comfortable, they stretch, they’ve got a waist that cinches securely if you so choose, and they’re lined in a super soft performance “DryWetDry” boxer brief style liner (revealed above on the black pair) which is micro perforated, and not meshy and itchy like old-school swim trunks. That liner even has a hidden pocket for your phone. (Just don’t forget it’s in there when you cannonball into the lake.)

Lots of colors and a few patterns. Personally bought the (now sold out) “charcoal dot” shown below and a size medium fits my 5’10″/185lb normally size 32 waist frame perfectly. Available in either 5″ or 7″ inseam.

Shipping and returns are free if you take advantage of the stacking sale, as Huckberry’s free shipping threshold kicks in at $89.

That’s all.

Carry on.

Huckberry: Up to 50% off Annual Summer Sale https://dappered.com/2025/07/huckberry-up-to-50-off-annual-summer-sale/ Sat, 19 Jul 2025 12:07:15 +0000 https://dappered.com/?p=272540 Heads up: Buying via our links results in us getting a commission (not always, but just about), which helps keep the lights on around here. Huckberry: Up to 50% off during their summer sale

Back to school aisles are popping up in big box stores. Football training camps are getting underway. Soon enough all of our short sleeves, sunglasses, and swim trunks will be shelved fo…

Oh who are we kidding. It’s still really summer. But that doesn’t mean brands and shops aren’t clearing out their hot weather stuff so they can start looking forward to fall.

And thus, Huckberry’s annual Summer sale.

New gear has been added to their sale section. Some nice new price cuts have been taken as well. And it’s more than just summer stuff. There’s some boots and outwear too, in case you’re already sick of summer and looking forward to autumn. A reminder that free shipping kicks in at $98, and returns are free on just about everything, unless it’s a (very) rare final sale item. Off we go with the picks.

LUCA Leather Terra Low Sneaker in Pebbled White/Off White – $156 ($195)

Was on sale for $175, now marked down further to $156. Made in Portugal. The materials and overall design are really impressive. Full review of a different (not on sale) color scheme can be found here. That pebbled white leather upper, off white sole, and leather heel tab looks all kinds of right.

LUCA Leather Terra Low Sneaker in Stone Suede – $136 ($195)

And an even more affordable “stone” suede option, in case you’re full up on white sneakers or would just prefer something a little more unique than the usual bright white kicks we see everywhere this time of year. Still absurdly versatile though, just like true white leather court sneakers.

Flint & Tinder Short Sleeve Button Downs – $47 ($68)

Basic short sleeve button downs for the warm weather. Button down collar keeps the points wrangled as the day wears on. Select colors/patterns. That “rust leaves” shirt on the left is a nice, different spin on the usual geometric patterns or tropical florals.

Walden 51mm Passage Sunglasses – $49 ($99)

Was on sale for $79, and now bumped down to half off full ticket. With Sunski and other brands raising their prices, it’s getting harder to find a pair of good quality sunglasses without the luxury brand price-tag. That’s where Walden, Huckberry’s house brand of upgraded quality shades tries to fit in. Classic shapes, cool colors, good quality. Note: Price is for the non polarized option.

Walden (Huckberry) Airman – $49 ($99)

And now the McQueen like retro Airman style with a keyhole bridge. Recently mentioned over here. Really nice quality. Especially now for the even lower price (as these were on sale for $85 last week.) Also available in polarized for $64.

Flint & Tinder Cotton-Linen Chore Coats – $158 ($198)

For when you want an extra layer to throw over a t-shirt, henley, or polo, yet a blazer or swazer would seem to much… but a hoodie isn’t enough. That’s where chore coats excel. That and they really do work great when you’re getting chores done. Pockets to put stuff in, lighter in weight and breathable, etc.

PROOF 72 hour Merino AIR Tees – $58 ($78)

Interesting. These are a tweaked version of their bestselling 72 hour merino tees. Micro-airflow perforated (think lululemon’s metal vent tech stuff) but still made from merino wool which is naturally anti microbial and temperature regulating. Sizing is more generous with the purpose of facilitating airflow. So if you’re used to the OG 72 hour performance slim, expect these to run a little bigger. But at 99% wool, one would assume they’ll shrink up in the wash.  Machine wash gentle, air dry to avoid shrinking or tumble dry low if you wanna take that gamble.

Citizen Promaster Fujitsubo Automatic – $556 ($795)

Think of it as a really nice alternative to the Casio Quartz diver. 41mm case size is more svelte than the Casio beefcake too. That watch would look great on a NATO strap.

LUCA Terra Slip On Chelsea Sneaker Boots – $172 ($215)

Was on sale for $193 and now a bit cheaper. Made in Portugal. Bought them, love them, have worn them with everything casual to smart casual and that’s why they’re a bit beat up looking in the above shot. But ain’t that just “patina”?? They’re too easy and too comfortable not to wear all the time. If you’re in-between sizes, size up. My normally 10.5 D feet take an 11 in these and they fit great. And that hand-pressed Lactae Havea cup sole is as comfortable as they come.

LUCA Terra Slip On Suede Chelsea Sneaker Boots – $172 ($215)

And the suede version with the off-white sole. Would look right at home in the summer sun with some beat up chinos and a favorite t-shirt.

Flint & Tinder Rough Out Trucker – $638 ($798)

That’s quite the suede jacket. Not cheap, but suede or leather jackets aren’t cheap. Clearly (well) over the $98 free shipping threshold, so this ships and returns for free like a lot of the other stuff. But that’s always a plus when it’s an investment item like this.

Roark Journey Short Sleeve Shirt – $46 ($66)

100% organic cotton, a few different fun patterns, and old-school wood-like lookin’ buttons for vintage vacation shirt style.

Saucony Trainer 80 Premium Retro Sneaker – $60 ($100)

Looks great and probably quite comfortable for just hanging around in. Spare a thought for those who ran long distances in stuff like this back in the 70s and 80s. Your pops might have not “walked uphill both ways” to school, but if he ran cross country in a pair of sneakers like this, he might have genuinely felt like he had when the race was over. Shoe technology has come a long way. Because… GOOD LORD WHAT ARE THESE THINGS.

Wellen Wellknit Joggers – $66 ($88)

Soft, stretchy, and a clean ankle (no scrunchy elastic) so they look a little more polished than most other joggers. AND they have an inseam gusset, so go ahead and pigeon-pose to your yogi heart’s content. Anti-microbial too.

Rhodes Goodyear Welted Harrison Chukkas – $132 ($220)

From Huckberry’s deservedly well liked house brand Rhodes. Goodyear welted. Looks like the uppers are a waxed suede. Comes with an extra set of black, flat waxed laces. Would look great with chinos and a polo, jeans and a t-shirt, etc. A step up from Clarks Bushacres for sure.

Relwen Flyweight Flex Blazers – $208 ($298)

Relwen’s “trap” blazers have become something of a legend. They’re based in old-school sporting blazers (which is where the term “sportcoat” came from), yet they’re totally contemporary at the same time. They do tweedy fabrics in the fall and winter, and these hyper-lights are made specifically for the spring and summer. Unlined, stretch cotton (97% cotton, 3% spandex), and lots of pockets. Ships/returns for free.

Relwen Tropical Trap Linen/Cotton Blazer – $208 ($298)

And a linen blend version. 55% Linen, 45% Cotton.

PROOF 72-hour Merino Blend UPF Long Sleeve Shirts – $73 – $94 ($98)

These are their long sleeve shirts specifically designed for keeping the sun from scorching your arms during long days. Still breathable, still anti-microbial, still temperature regulating. Lighter weight but not papery thin. A little bit thicker than a t-shirt.

Made in Italy Astorflex Tan Leather Chukkas w/ Studded Rubber Sole – $180 ($225)

Made in Italy, full leather lining on these, studded rubber sole for 4-season wear, and smooth leather uppers. A step up in formality from suede upper/crepe sole desert boots, but can still be dressed all the way down with chinos and a tee.

Carhartt WIP Tour Packable Travel Bag – $47 ($78)

Dimensions are 19 x 13.8 x 7.9 inches. Even folds into its own pocket for storage. So it’s a bag that can be packed into it’s own bag? What a time to be alive.

Relwen Canvas Chore Coat – $166 ($238)

75% Cotton, 25% Linen. A light extra layer that can do it all. Perfectly placed pockets, butterfly lined in the back, and three colors to choose from.

PROOF Nomad Joggers – $68 ($98)

The Nomad material isn’t quite as nice feeling as lululemon’s Warpstreme (PROOF feels a little more synthetic than the oddly “normal” feeling of lululemon’s warpstreme twill)… but it also doesn’t cost nearly as much. And these STILL come with a gusset for ease of movement.

Rhodes Tyler Chukkas – $143 ($220)

Always worth a mention when these get any kind of markdown. Full review of the suede option can be found here.

Flint and Tinder Boiled Wool Chore Blazer in Grey – $190 ($238)

Wake me up, when (July, August, &) September ends.” Because at that point it’ll be October and something like this wool chore blazer will feel great. Unstructured but made with boiled wool so it’ll have a bit more heft while still remaining breathable.

Vans Premium Old Skool Suede Sneaker – $70 ($120)

One day in the not terribly distant future there will be a nursing home full of people swapping Warped Tour stories.

Made in the USA Huckberry X GORUCK GR2 Slick 40L Travel Backpack – $297 ($425)

Note: This is the big sucker. Carry-on approved, yet it’s the larger, get-out and see-the-world Johnny (who’s Johnny?) version. If you’re looking for something smaller for around-the-town, see GORUCK’s FAQ for what size pack you should try first.

Rucking might just be the perfect form of building and maintaining strength. It’s stupid easy to get started, and it’s impossible to ignore the mental and physical benefits once you get going. Rucking is nothing more complicated than putting some weight in a backpack (rucksack), making sure it’s good and secure and riding on your back right, then setting out for walk. A flat walk, a challenging hill climb, a short neighborhood spin, or a long sweat-dripping grind. Sure this GORUCK GR2 is a crazy-expensive backpack. But it’s also made in the USA with real purpose, design, and very durable materials. And finally (prepares public service announcement jingle) …it might just change your life.

The Huckberry Annual Summer Sale is set to run through Tuesday, 7/29.

Huckberry: Free Shipping No Min. (Sunday 6/8 only)

Father’s Day is in one week (Sunday 6/15). Which is precisely why Huckberry is running a one-day free shipping no minimum promotion. That way they can get us to them in time for them to get any goods to us (for ourselves or for any Dads we may be looking for a gift of appreciation for)… by next weekend.

Free shipping at Huckberry usually doesn’t kick in until you hit $98. So anything below $98 is effectively on sale today. But it’s just for today only, as they’ve got to get this stuff fulfilled and on its way tomorrow. Got that? Clock’s ticking. Sale ends at midnight PT. Let’s rock and roll.

Wellen Performance Lined Swim Trunks – $78

Shown at the very top of the post in “agave cloud

They’re brilliant. They get everything right that so many other brands get wrong about “hybrid” swim/hike/workout “adventure” shorts. They’re just as good in the water as they are out. They’re comfortable, they stretch, they’ve got a waist that cinches securely if you so choose, and they’re lined in a super soft performance “DryWetDry” boxer brief style liner (see the black pair above with the leg rolled up) which is micro perforated, not meshy and itchy like old-school swim trunks. Lots of colors and a few patterns. Personally bought the (now sold out) “charcoal dot” shown above and a size medium fits my 5’10″/185lb normally size 32 waist frame perfectly. Available in either 5″ or 7″ inseam. That’s the 7″ option shown above. These are the star/super-highlight of this particular “sale” as it’d be hard to believe seeing these go on sale anytime soon. They appear to have a hard time keeping them in stock. So to save any kind of money (like $4.99 for shipping) feels like a legit deal.

The James Brand Titanium Money Clip – $97 ($129)

For the Dads who always carry cash, and those who learned to do the same.

Whiskey Peaks Denali Decanter – $25 ($50)

Half off and now ships free? Okay then. Would pair great with a bottle of something top shelf for the Dad who likes to have something neat or on the rocks.

Flint & Tinder 365 Chino Shorts – $68

Almost seventy(!) bucks for a pair of chino shorts seems sky-high to some of us… yet they sell boatloads of these things as well as their flagship 365 pants. 5″, 7″, or 9″ inseams available. Those are 9″ shown above. Lots of colors.

Made in the USA Flint and Tinder Soft Wash Tees – $38

For the Dad who loves to buy Made in America. These are the newest USA made tees from Huckberry and their Flint and Tinder brand.

Made in the USA Flint and Tinder 365 Belt – $85

Full review here. Available in dark brown, chestnut, tan, or black. They’re what you’d expect. Meaning: nice leather, versatile good looks (casual to smart casual use), and should last and last. The more affordable alternative would of course be the L.L. Bean USA made belt, but those only come in dark brown or black.

Made in USA 365 Roughout Belt – $85

And the rough-out suede version. Still made in the USA for these. Tan or Black.

PROOF 72 Hour Merino-Blend Tees in Slim or Classic – $78

IF you want to try just one of these tees to see what all the fuss is about… then this free shipping day is the time to do it. These are the tees you can wear for three days straight and they won’t start to smell or feel gross. Note that in the original slim fit these do run a bit small after the first wash or dry. So size up. My 5’10″/185lbs normally takes a size medium in t-shirts, and sizing up to a large results in a perfect fit after the first wash/dry.

Select CLASSIC Fit PROOF 72 hour Merino Tees – $67 ($78)

Already on sale for $11 off and the extra $4.99 in savings with the free shipping makes these a splurge + impulse buy all at the same time. A few different colors available, but that gray micro stripe looks pretty good from here.

Huckberry Polarized Weekender Sunglasses – $39

Cheap sunglasses that look and perform better than some junk you got on a convenience store spinner rack. Polarized lenses too. Perfect for the beach, because without polarized lenses the glare off the water would give you a migraine. Sizing seems to be on the smaller side of medium. So if you’ve got a big noggin, these might be a pass. Available in a bunch of colors. That “matte cola” with gray lenses at the top of the image seen above seems particularly tempting.

Patagonia Capilene Cool Daily Shirt – $45

Patagonia’s famous do-anything tees. Fair trade certified. Moisture wicking, quick dry, has an odor-control finish… the works.

Flint and Tinder Vintage Leather Belt – $85

Tumbled, lightly “washed” and slightly waxed leather for a super-lived-in-feel right out of the box. Made in Mexico.

Aged & Ore Travel Decanter – $58

The hotel room’s mini bar is expensive and the liquor store down the street from your Airbnb doesn’t have your favorite stuff. This would be a nice solution.

Vans Premium Authentic Suede Sneaker – $85

Gray “nine iron” suede uppers, white foxing and eyelets, and that classic contrast waffle sole.

Made in the USA Flint and Tinder The Vintage Slub Polo Shirt – $78

Size shown: Medium on 5’10″/185lbs

Yes, made in the USA. You read that right. Hence the price, but it’s also built well. It’s classic American casual to smart casual wear. Garment dyed in seven different colors. The lightly slubbed fabric looks and feels just right instead of worn out. And the fit is accommodating without being boxy. The price tag is a big ask for plenty, yet many others will proudly pay the premium for a made in the USA polo like this.

The Huckberry free shipping no minimum one-day-event ends (you guessed it) today, Sunday 6/8/25.

Huckberry: Memorial Day Weekend Sale

Summer starts now (*spoiler* no it doesn’t).

Huckberry operates at that perfect mid point of rugged style and true functionality, and to celebrate the (unofficial) start of summer, they’re running one of their bigger sales of the year. Remember that free shipping at Huckberry kicks in at $98, but at least returns are free/won’t set you back an additional pre-paid label. Scrolling through the entire Huck sale section is enough to tear an index finger ligament, so let’s get to our picks.

Wellen Performance Lined Hybrid Swim Trunks – 2 for $117 (norm. $78 per)

Works out to $58.50 per pair. Pretty darn great considering they’re a bestseller, normally $78 a piece, and almost never on sale. Here’s how this works. It’s a stacking deal:

  • These are currently getting a buy 2 for $156 bundle deal,
  • Huckberry is also running a 25% off 2 pairs of select shorts promo for the weekend.
  • It’s stacking. For now. Proof here.

These are as good as it gets for hybrid shorts. Y’know, those types of shorts you can swim in but also do a HIIT workout in or go for a hike in or grab a pint in… you get the idea. Soft and stretchy performance boxer-brief liner is the best. Lots of colors and patterns. Usually excluded from sales and whatnot, so this is significant.

LUCA Leather Terra Low Sneaker in Pebbled White/Off White – $175 ($195)

Sneaker splurge anyone? Twenty bucks off. Surprised to see them on sale for any amount. Made in Portugal. The materials and overall design are really impressive. Full review of a different (not on sale) color scheme can be found here. That pebbled white leather upper, off white sole, and leather heel tab looks all kinds of right for summer.

Walden 51mm Passage Sunglasses – $74 ($99)

With Sunski among others raising their prices, it’s getting harder to find a pair of good quality sunglasses for a price that doesn’t hit the stratosphere like the luxury name-brands do. That’s where Walden, Huckberry’s house brand of upgraded quality shades, tries to fit in. Classic shapes, cool colors, good quality. And some models are 25% off thanks to the sale.

Walden Polarized 51mm Airman Sunglasses – $96 ($129)

And now the McQueen like retro Airman style with a keyhole bridge. Polarized lenses on these. Which is sort of odd as they’re “airman” style, and anyone who has ever driven a car (let alone piloted a plane) while wearing polarized sunglasses knows it can be hard if not impossible to read the instrument panels. Also available in non-polarized for $74, but only a couple colors are on sale for that version.

Taylor Stitch The Foundation Blazer – $108 ($198)

The Taylor Stitch flagship, do-anything, casual but intentional, garment washed cotton sportcoat. Three exterior patch pockets. Two interior welt pockets for storage. Two vents in the rear. Three button front so you can wear it as a chore-coat if you choose, or just keep that middle button buttoned for a blazer-look. Nice price. Usually when anything Taylor Stitch goes on sale it’s final sale over on their own website. Not here at Huckberry. Ships/returns free.

Slim Fit PROOF 72 hour Merino Tees – $58 ($78)

Limited colors, but twenty bucks off is pretty good when it comes to the PROOF 72 hour tees. These are those merino-blend t-shirts you can wear for three days straight without them picking up a funky smell or “ick” feeling like cotton tees do. That’s the magic of naturally anti-microbial merino wool.  Most are going to want to size up in the slim fit. My 5’10″/185lb frame usually takes a medium in other t-shirts, but large in the PROOF 72 hour merino original slim fits perfectly after the first machine wash and dry.

CLASSIC Fit PROOF 72 hour Merino Tees – $67 ($78)

And the classic fits. Not as generous of a discount though.

Timex Marlin 40mm Automatic – $194 ($259)

Okay, so the features section on Huckberry says: Powered by a Quartz Analog movement.”

No it’s not. It’s an automatic.

Full review here. Shown above on a 7.5″ wrist.

ON Roger Advantage Court Sneaker in White/Fossil – $112 ($140)

Roger. Federer. Charismatic, dignified, and stylish. Can’t say quite as much for Roger(s) Hornsby. Not very diplomatic, that man. But he was a hell of a hitter.

Wellen Wellknit Joggers – $66 ($88)

Soft, stretchy, and a clean ankle (no scrunchy elastic) so they look a little more polished than most other joggers. AND they have an inseam gusset, so go ahead and pigen-pose to your yogi heart’s content. Anti-microbial too. So feel free to rip a hearty fart while you’re down there. Does anyone read these words? All good if not.

Made in Italy Astorflex Suede Loafers – $180 ($225)

Nicer looking than a boat shoe, still casual enough to wear with chinos and a t-shirt. Made in Italy.

PROOF Rover EDC Pant in Slim or Athletic Tapered – $64 – $96 ($128)

Bought a pair of these myself during a late winter clearance and they quickly became a favorite. Imagine a pair of cargo pants, only they didn’t look like cargo pants at all, but still had tons of well placed pockets, and instead of the usual heavy and bulky twill, the fabric was a lighter weight, extremely easy moving cotton/performance blend which breathed great and helped regulate your temperature. Oh, and they’ve got a gusset. Which is awesome as that provides for extra ease of movement when you’re rucking/cleaning/jumping out of a truck/having a nice little Saturday/getting on up/getting down. For a size reference, a size 32×32 in the athletic tapered fits my 5’10″/185 great.

Rhodes Goodyear Welted Harrison Chukkas – $132 ($220)

From Huckberry’s deservedly well liked house brand Rhodes. Goodyear welted. Looks like the uppers are a waxed suede? Comes with an extra set of black, flat waxed laces. Would look great with chinos and a polo, jeans and a t-shirt, etc. A step up from Clarks Bushacres for sure.

Howler Brothers Open Country Tech Short Sleeve Shirt – $71 ($92)

One part “yee haw!” the other part 21st century performance. Quick drying nylon and polyester blend. Back yoke is mesh vented.

Relwen Flyweight Flex Blazers – $208 ($298)

Relwen’s “trap” blazers have become something of a legend. They’re based in old-school sporting blazers (which is where the term “sportcoat” came from), yet they’re totally contemporary at the same time. They do tweedy fabrics in the fall and winter, and these hyper-lights in the spring and summer. Unlined, stretch cotton (97% cotton, 3% spandex), and lots of pockets. Ships/returns for free.

Whiskey Peaks Glassware sale

Lead free, hand blown glass decanters and rocks glasses with raised topographic impressions of some of the world’s most famous geological wonders. Makes a terrific gift (Father’s Day?) especially when combined with a bottle of something top shelf.

PROOF Nomad Blazers – $159 – $173 ($248)

Olive, gray, and khaki are $159. Navy and black are $173. Full performance fabric. Be aware that these run short in the tail. But as long as you treat it more like a chore coat and wear it with t-shirts and polos, it won’t look out of place. Here’s how the almost identical merino-performance blend option looks on 5’10″/185. Most will need a little extra tailoring at the sides as they’re a bit boxy on arrival. Quite comfortable though. Sleeves do have one functioning cuff button on the end, but they don’t run overly long on my average-length arms.

Assembled in Canada Momentum Sea Auto Dive Watch – $525 ($550)

Just twenty-five smackers off of full retail, but it looks to be a heck of a watch if you like ’em chunky.

Made in Italy Astorflex Tan Leather Chukkas w/ Studded Rubber Sole – $180 ($225)

Made in Italy, full leather lining on these, studded rubber sole for 4-season wear, and smooth leather uppers. A step up in formality from suede upper/crepe sole desert boots, but can still be dressed all the way down to, say, chinos and a tee.

PROOF Nomad Joggers – $68 ($98)

More performance fabric.

Bummed the suede is stuck to full price at post time.

Relwen Windzip Jackets – $187 – $214 ($268)

A Huckberry bestseller. But unlike some of their other jackets, these are less heritage-y and more contemporary (yet still rugged) looking. Lightweight, weather resistant, stretchy, breathable, and lightly insulated. Lots of colors. Sizes are scattered.

Flint and Tinder Boiled Wool Chore Blazer in Grey – $190 ($238)

Headed to the mountains or somewhere else it gets cool if not outright cold at night? Sizes L, XL, and XXL available at post time. Unstructured but made with boiled wool so it’ll have a bit more heft while still remaining breathable.

On Cloudmonster – $136 ($178)

“Cloudmonster” sounds like a baddie from an early Mario Brothers game. (obligatory mention/NSFW language)

PROOF 72-hour Merino Blend UPF Long Sleeve Shirts – $73 – $94 ($98)

More Proof 72-hour. These are their long sleeve shirts specifically designed for keeping the sun from scorching your arms during long days. Still breathable, still anti-microbial, still temperature regulating. Lightweight. Just a little bit thicker than a t-shirt.

LUCA Terra Slip On Chelsea Sneaker Boots – $193 ($215)

Made in Portugal. Bought them, love them, have worn them with everything casual to smart casual and that’s why they’re a bit beat up looking in the above shot. But ain’t that just “patina”?? They’re too easy and too comfortable not to wear all the time. If you’re in-between sizes, size up. My normally 10.5 D feet take an 11 in these and they fit great. And that hand-pressed Lactae Havea cup sole is as comfortable as they come. Not the biggest discount, but something is something.

Made in Portugal Wills Garment Dyed Stretch-Cotton Blazer – $182 ($228)

If you’re looking for a more casual leaning, stretch-cotton (97% cotton/3% spandex) blazer, then this one is worth a shot. Unlined back. Patch pockets. Ships/returns for free.

Made in Portugal LUCA Terra Sneakers – $102 ($170)

Like a nicely affordable version of the Victory Sportsrunner. Only these aren’t made in the USA. 80s/Dad-sneaker looks. All leather uppers with nubuck overlays. And if the quality of their classic court-styled sneakers is any indication, then these should be pretty darn good too.

TheraBody Theragun Sense – $209 ($300)

Your musculature can accumulates a lot of knots, crunchy bits, and other crud with hard use. Yoga, stretching, and massages sure seem to help staying limber, upright, and uninjured. Theragun percussion massagers are one of those items that are a luxury for sure, but wow do they feel right. This one includes “a built-in biometric sensor for heart rate readings, guided breathwork with haptic vibration to help you reach relaxation sooner rather than later.” Well okay then.

Made in the UK Sanders Wilson Unlined Apron Derby Boot – $221 ($340)

Almost sold out. Admittedly… these are a little weird. They’ve got an Indy-like workboot shape, a studded rubber sole, and an apron toe… yet they’re unlined and less structured. Maybe something for those who love wearing boots, and hate shelving their heavier heritage-inspired work boots for summer. These could be the salve that gets those types to Fall. Made in England by the same folks who make the famous hi-top chukkas that…. (oh wait…)

NOT ON SALE BUT STILL WORTH A MENTION: Sanders Hi-top Chukkas – $275

Full review here. Sizes are scattered, but again it’s worth noting that Huckberry is (so far?) the only US based retailer to get their hands on these things. Which is huge. Because they ship/return for free via Huckberry. Used to be that you had to order them from England or the EU, which meant mega outbound shipping AND possible return shipping charges. No longer thanks to Huckberry.

The Huckberry Memorial Day Weekend Sale is set to run through Monday, 5/26. In the past some markdowns have “stuck” while other items have gone back to full price after the sale ends. Also know that color and size selection could move quick on some of the picks above.

Sunday Steal Alert: Huckberry’s Free Shipping No Min. 24-hour Event https://dappered.com/2025/05/sunday-steal-alert-huckberrys-free-shipping-no-min-24-hour-event/ Sun, 18 May 2025 17:01:30 +0000 https://dappered.com/?p=270274 Heads up: Buying via our links results in us getting a commission (not always, but just about), which helps keep the lights on around here. Huckberry: Free Shipping No Min. (Sunday 5/19 only)

Summer means adventure. Getting out there. Seeing and doing. Huckberry operates at that perfect mid point of style and function, and with the unofficial start of summer (Memorial Day weekend) fast approaching, this is pretty much their time to shine…

Which is precisely why they’re running a one-day free shipping no minimum promotion. So they can get us to them, and their gear to us, by next weekend.

Free shipping at Huckberry usually doesn’t kick in until you hit $98. So anything below $98 is effectively on sale today. Yes, they do an additional big summer kickoff sale every year, but it’s anyone’s guess as to what will be included in that (which you gotta think starts later this week). Plus that stuff won’t get to you in time to use for the long weekend.

For now we’ll stick to gear under $98, and keep the picks to the gear most likely to be excluded for any sort of long-weekend sales in the pipeline. Clock’s ticking. Sale ends at midnight PT.

Wellen Performance Lined Swim Trunks – $78

They’re brilliant. They get everything right that so many other brands get wrong about “hybrid” swim/hike/workout “adventure” shorts. They’re just as good in the water as they are out. They’re comfortable, they stretch, they’ve got a waist that cinches securely if you so choose, and they’re lined in a super soft performance “DryWetDry” boxer brief style liner (see the black pair above with the leg rolled up) which is micro perforated, not meshy and itchy like old-school swim trunks. Lots of colors and a few patterns (such as the “agave cloud” shown at the very top of the post). Personally bought the (now sold out) “charcoal dot” shown above and a size medium fits my 5’10″/185lb normally size 32 waist in most pants and shorts frame perfectly. Available in either 5″ or 7″ inseam. That’s the 7″ option shown above. These are the star/super-highlight of this particular “sale” as it’d be hard to believe seeing these go on sale anytime soon. They appear to have a hard time keeping them in stock. Lots of options are already seeing sizes move fast. So to save any kind of money (like $4.99 for shipping) feels like a legit deal.

PROOF 72 Hour Merino-Blend Tees – $78

IF you want to try just one of these tees to see what all the fuss is about… then this free shipping day is the time to do it. These are the tees you can wear for three days straight and they won’t start to smell or feel gross. Note that in the original slim fit these do run a bit small after the first wash or dry. So size up. My 5’10″/185lbs normally takes a size medium in t-shirts, and sizing up to a large results in a perfect fit after the first wash/dry.

Whiskey Peaks Denali Decanter – $25 ($50)

Half off and now ships free? Okay then.

That “matte cola” with gray lenses at the top of the image seen above seem particularly tempting.

Patagonia Baggies Shorts – $69

A legend with legions of fans. Made from quick-drying nylon with a water repellent finish. Elasticized waistband with internal drawstring and quick-drying mesh liner. Fair Trade Certified.

NOTE: If you’re a member at REI, they’re doing their big annual sale right now, and if you log in you can save 20% off on Baggies over there with the code ANNIV2025. But far from everyone is a (paying) member at REI. So yes, still worth a mention here on free shipping day at Huck.

Patagonia Capilene Cool Daily Shirt – $45

And now the tees you can often find someone who loves their baggies shorts wearing with said baggies shorts. Also fair trade certified. Moisture wicking, quick dry, has an odor-control finish… the works. Same story for REI members as the shorts though. 20% off, but you have to be a (paid) member.

Flint and Tinder Vintage Leather Belt – $85

Tumbled, lightly “washed” and slightly waxed leather for a super-lived-in-feel right out of the box. That black belt is a perfect amount of rock-and-roll. Made in Mexico.

Aged & Ore Travel Decanter – $58

Well that’s just rad. And the hotel room’s mini bar is expensive/the liquor store down the street from your Airbnb doesn’t have your favorite stuff.

Made in the USA Flint and Tinder Soft Wash Tees – $38

The newest USA made tees from Huckberry and their Flint and Tinder brand.

Made in the USA Flint and Tinder The Vintage Slub Polo Shirt – $78

Size shown: Medium on 5’10″/185lbs

Yes, made in the USA. You read that right. Hence the price, but it’s also built well. It’s classic American casual to smart casual wear. Garment dyed in seven different colors, lightly slubbed fabric which looks and feels just right instead of worn out, and a fit that’s accommodating without being boxy. The price tag is a big ask for plenty, yet many others will proudly pay the premium for a made in the USA polo like this.

Vans Premium Authentic Suede Sneaker – $85

Gray “nine iron” suede uppers, white foxing and eyelets, and that contrast waffle sole.

The Huckberry free shipping no minimum one-day-event ends (you guessed it) today, Sunday 5/18/25.
