Huckberry: Up to 40% off Winter Sale

We’re now closer to March than we are to (last) Christmas. So despite the enormous storm which just tore up half the U.S., winter is, allegedly, gonna start winding down. At some point. Maybe.

Which is why Huckberry has launched their annual Winter Sale clearance event.

Free shipping kicks in at $98, but returns are at least easy and free minus any outbound shipping costs if you didn’t hit $98 OR if it’s one of the rare final sale items. Anything tagged as final sale can’t be returned or exchanged. Let’s dig in.

Relwen Sweatshirt Trap Blazers – $187 – $201 ($268)

Grey = $201. Navy or “Brown Loden” = $187. Relwen’s line of sporting-heritage inspired trap blazers are something of a legend. They take details like game pockets and tab throat closures, and combine those features with easy wearing modern construction and seasonal fabrics. These are their latest, made of a double faced, sweatshirt-like cotton jacquard. So it’s a “swazer” that should look great with everything from an OCBD to a t-shirt.

Made in England Sanders Suede Chukkas – $280 ($350)

From the same people who brought you the favored-by-movie-stars Hi Top Suede Chukka. Only these are a little dressier thanks to a more subtle (but still crepe) sole. Ships/returns for free. Sold in UK Sizes, so make sure you use the conversion chart.

USA Made Wool lined Waxed Truckers – $250 ($358)

Their flagship flannel lined (not wool lined) waxed truckers are still at full price, but the extra-toasty wool version is getting an extremely rare discount. Limited sizes/limited stock. These should move pretty fast.

Flint & Tinder Slim Fit Architect Shirt – $58 ($98)

A basic button down which isn’t boring. Donegal flecks. Overbuilt with details like reinforced elbow patches and a bi-swing construction in the back for additional shoulder movement. Four colors. Shown at the very top of the post in “Natural.”

LUCA Terra Slip On Chelsea Sneaker Boot – $168 – $180 ($225)

Extremely comfortable. Made in Portugal using Italian suede uppers and French Lactae Hevea rubber outsoles. They go with everything casual to smart casual, they’re modern without looking goofy, and they’re well made. Make sure to hit them with some good quality stain/water protector before taking them out on any major spins, and you’ll be good to go. Shown immediately above is the Canyon Brown suede option for $168. The lighter, “Desert” suede is shown at the very top of the post, and those are priced at $180.

Flint & Tinder Boiled Wool Chore Blazer – $148 – $173 ($248)

Proof that winter may, at some point in the not terribly distant future, come to a merciful end. These didn’t go on sale much if at all over the last few months. Because they don’t have to to sell well. Boiled wool is dense but still breathes and regulates temperature. Cut and style are a perfect meld of rugged and smart casual. Debuted a couple years back, and they’ve added colors since due to demand. Now one of their annual bestsellers.

72-Hour Merino Polo Shirts – $59.50 per IF you buy 2 ($70/$88)

L: Stone Black. R: None-more-Black, Black.

Currently $70 on sale, but drops to just under $60 per as the buy-two-save-15% deal stacks on that discounted price. Same merino-blend fabric as their excellent 72-hour t-shirts. They really are perfect for travel, or even every-day wear if you’re the type who doesn’t love how regular cotton tees and polos feel and hold onto sweat. These breathe, wick, and since they’re merino wool based, they’re naturally anti-microbial. You can wear one for three days straight without feeling or smelling gross. Only gripe is the collars don’t really have enough structure (or a button down style collar) for wearing with a blazer or sportcoat unless you button the top button.

Relwen Quilted Insulated Tanker Jackets – $222 – $238 ($318)

Pretty uncompromising. Nylon/cotton shell kicks that cheap “sheen” seen on other quilted jackets to the curb. Peached finish gives it that perfect look and feel. Pockets. So many pockets. And the interior is anything but forgotten. Ships and returns free.

Proof 72-Hour Merino Chino – $106 ($178)

Shown at the very top of the post in olive

Spendy but exceptional. Straight or Athletic Tapered fit. Perfect for travel, and can pass as a smart pair of trousers even with the (ridiculously convenient) welt phone pocket on the back right leg. Gusset for ease of movement. Fabric is a 47% Merino Wool, 33% Nylon, 14% Polyester, 6% Elastane blend that moves great, but does make a light “swish swish” sound. They’re still the pants you may want to be wearing for the zombie apocalypse, the next time you’re moving house, or a long travel day with a business meeting at the tail end of it. And for a fit perspective, know that a 32×32 straight fit works for my 5’10″/180 frame after a quick trip to the tailor for a 1″-1.5″ hemming on the legs. Those of similar height may be able to easily get away with a 30″ inseam. Ships/returns for free.

Flint and Tinder Corduroy Pants – $82 ($118)

‘Tis the season to put seasonal pants on sale. Straight or Athletic Tapered fits. Whiskey brown, washed black, taupe, or dusty moss.

Made in Portugal Wills Garment Dyed Stretch-Cotton Blazer – $102 ($228)

Was hovering in the $140ish – $180ish sale range. Now just a nudge over $100. Ships/returns for free. More basic than the Wellen Trap Blazers. Which is great if you’re not looking for something that straddles the line between heritage-sporting and modern sportcoat. Just want a more casual leaning, cotton (97% cotton/3% spandex) blazer? Then this one is worth a shot. Unlined back. Patch pockets. Reviews seem to indicated it might have some wonk to the fit, but taking it to a tailor may solve that.

USA Made Danner Bull Run Lux Chelseas – $187 or Moc Toe Boots – $202 ($250 – $270)

From the “lux” Huckberry collaboration. Oiled suede uppers, wedge soles, and a debossed Huck tree on the ankle.

Flint & Tinder York Quilted Waxed Jacket – $178 ($298)

Four colors. The brilliant midpoint between a waxed jacket and a quilted jacket. Gray, Dark Navy, Olive, or Brown.

Charcoal/Black GREYS Wool Outdoor Slipper Boots – $59 ($108)

$49 off? That’ll do. Perfect house shoes that are plenty substantial enough to handle quick trips to take the garbage out, get the dog in, etc.

Made in the UK Peregrine Merino Wool Cardigan – $184 ($264)

A serious splurge, but no one knows dreary weather (and the house-sweaters to be worn during long stretches of such) like the Brits. Shawl collar. Merino wool. Good size selection left at post time, but if they have limited stock, then these could go fast.

The James Brand Martindale Money clip – $96 ($129)

Perhaps an end-of-January reward for sticking to your New Year’s Financial/Budgeting Resolution?

“You’re suggesting spending money on an impulse buy as a way to stay disciplined with spending?”

Right. Good point. Rad money clip, tho.

USA Made F&T Flannel-Lined Denim Trucker Jacket – $208 ($298)

Like their waxed truckers, these denim jackets are cut and sewn in the U.S., have a toasty flannel lining, and should break in over time too.

Proof ARC Pants – $69 ($138)

Huge fan of Huckberry’s house brand, Proof. They make technical, capable gear which is both smartly designed and smarter looking than their granola-munching competitors. These pants are made from a micro canvas fabric tough enough for the outdoors, but doesn’t look out of place dressed up a touch. Articulated knees, diamond gusset inseam, and a discreet drop pocket on the right back leg (perfect for your phone.)

Relwen Windzip Jackets – $187 ($268)

Another bestseller from Relwen. Less “field” than the Tanker, more casual-city-to-outdoorsy quilted. Water-resistant, lightly insulated (60 gram), moves well, and breathes. Great for layering, or on its own during transitional weather.

Rhodes Vibram 430 Mini Lug Lace Up Boot – $160 – $187 ($268)

Please read our Shoe Expert’s Review. Warning: It seems like something may have gone sideways, recently, with the Huckberry house shoe/boot brand Rhodes. Sure the materials are still great and they’re still made in the shoe/bootmaking hub of Leon Mexico, but the fit got wonky on these. Specifically, they’re too tight/run small/the insoles are overly thick and crowd the interior of the boots. And if you read some of the customer reviews on other models from this past season’s Rhodes run, it seem as though that issue may not be confined only to these service-style boots. Dang. Really have loved Rhodes for years now. Hopefully they figure this issue out fast. (A lot of us have happily switched to LUCA, which are impressively comfortable.) At least these Rhodes ship & return for free, if you wanna take a shot.

Flint and Tinder Italian Moleskin Shirt Jacket – $149 ($298)

Heavier than a flannel, but not some gigantic Mountain-scaling puffer. Somewhere in that great swath in-between. Soft, brushed cotton moleskin fabric sourced from Italy. Diamond quilted with Primaloft insulation.

F&T Stretch Selvedge Denim – $94 ($118)

There’s no break-in time, the weight (11.7 oz) is great for year-round wear, and they come in the four “HB” fits a lot of us have gotten used to (HB Slim, Athletic Tapered, Straight, and Classic). These are Flint and Tinder’s selvedge for the denim heads who don’t want to spend multiple hundreds on super-artisan jeans. Translation: these are made in China.

PROOF 72-Hour Merino Short Sleeve Henleys – $78 ($98)

Navy or Black. Know that they fit trim. A size large fits my 5’10″/180lbs perfect after washing/drying, whereas a medium is too small. Here’s why these are actually worth the price: Made from an odor-resistant and wicking merino wool blend which is also machine washable (and machine dryable as long as you can tumble dry low/keep an eye on it…) these henleys can go for three days of straight wear without starting to smell or feel funky. So they’re really three shirts in one. That’s why they were a must-add in our ol’ “what to pack when traveling light and in style” advice post.  The collars are great too, with those matte black snap buttons.

Walden Passage Sunglasses – $69 ($99)

These had been final sale, but at post time they’ve been moved back to regular sale, which means they can be returned. Which is key when buying eyewear over the internet. Just make sure they don’t slide ’em back over to final sale before you click “buy.”

Flint & Tinder 365 Pants in select colors – $86 ($108)

On-sale prices range from $70 – $86, but the vast majority of colors that are on sale are at $86. It just depends on the fit and color combo you’re after.

Even on sale they’re clearly not cheap like a pair of Old Navy 5-pockets, but they sell so many pairs of these things they almost never feel compelled to put them on sale. The build quality, the fabric, and the fit(s) are enough that they have garnered legions of fans who pay full price. So to get any sort of sale, especially in colors like Washed Grey and Washed Black and even Evergreen seems like a treat.

F&T The Jackson Quilted Jacket – $159 ($228)

F&T’s take on classic 1970’s style mountain-wear. Navy or Evergreen. Not made in the USA like their waxed truckers and rancher jackets. These are made in Vietnam.

LUCA Terra Moc Chukka Sneakers – $140 ($200)

Was on sale for $170, now down to $140. Chukka/Sneaker/Moc hybrids made with incredible materials and a real attention to detail in terms of construction. And comfortable. Really comfortable. A bestseller. Almost 5/5 stars after 200+ reviews.

F&T Fine Merino Sweater Hoodies – $88 – $103 ($148)

“Hoodie, but make it wool.” Blue is $103. Gray is $111.

Flint & Tinder James Waxed Snap Jacket – $138 ($198)

Like a lightened up version of their famous Waxed Truckers. Note that these aren’t made in the USA. Exterior is 11.9 oz Halley Stevensons Dry Finish Waxed Cotton Canvas, the cut is neither too slim nor too lose, and it’ll break in with wear to your individual usage.

Proof 72-Hour Merino 5-Pockets – $133 ($178)

Same fabric & colors as their 72-hour chinos, just made in a different pocket style. Also: These are only on sale in athletic tapered. Straight fits are full price. Not quite sure why they’re more expensive on sale ($133 vs $103 for the chino style), but that’s the nature of an end-of-season sale. It can get a little random.

LUCA Leather Terra Low Sneaker in Pebbled White/Off White – $156 ($195)

Made in Portugal. The materials and overall design are really impressive. Full review of a different (not on sale) color scheme can be found here. That pebbled white leather upper, off white sole, and leather heel tab looks all kinds of right.

Flint and Tinder Reversible Quilted Bomber – $136 ($228)

It’s two, two, TWO jackets in one. Colors are “Maple Brown” & “Black Coffee.” Which is far better marketing than using digestive-tract related descriptors. “This is my jacket. Some days I wear the #1 side out. Other days, #2. Life doesn’t have to be boring.”

Novesta Marathon Trail Retro Sneaker – $132 – $141 ($189)

Shades of the old Victory Sportswear Speedrunners… only not so darn expensive. Two colors. Made in Slovakia.

F&T Quilted Waxed Shirt Jacket – $144 ($288)

Flint and Tinder Quilted Waxed Shirt Jacket

Half off. Still ships and returns for free. British Millerain waxed canvas. Not made in the USA like their famous waxed trucker, but looks great from here all the same.

Nalgene 32 oz Wide Mouth Sustain Water Bottles – $11 ($16.99)

In case you’re tantalizingly close to their $98 free shipping threshold, don’t want to shell out the extra five bucks for shipping, and could use a new water bottle. Literally drinking out of one of these as I sit here, hammering away at the keyboard.

Flint & Tinder Rough Out Trucker – $558 ($798)

That’s quite the suede jacket. Not cheap, but suede or leather jackets aren’t cheap. Clearly (well) over the $98 free shipping threshold, so this ships and returns for free like a lot of the other stuff. But that’s always a plus when it’s an investment item like this.

Huckberry’s big Up to 40% off Winter Sale is set to run through Sunday 2/8… but as this is an end-of-season sale, expect a lot of this stuff to sell out (at least in popular sizes and colors) well before that.

Huckberry: Up to 45% off Winter Clearance Event

Pretty sure half the Huckberry team is most of the way up a mountain right now, and that’s good for us. Because like leaving a porch light and table lamp on while you’re gone, they’re running a sale in their absence. Y’know, to make the place look a little more alive. (Beware the Wet Bandits!)

It’s a select items sale, with lots of new items just added to their sale section. “Up to” 45% off, with lots of cold weather gear getting cuts. But that’s not a bad thing, being that we’re just hitting the first days of true astronomical winter.

Free shipping still kicks in at $98, but returns are at least easy and free minus any outbound shipping costs if you didn’t hit $98 OR if it’s one of the rare final sale items. Anything tagged as final sale can’t be returned or exchanged. Let’s dig in.

Flint and Tinder Boiled Wool Chore Blazer – $186 ($248)

More sweater than sportcoat, but as it’s boiled wool it’ll have a tighter feel to the fibers and thus a little more structure. A smart casual to casual style standard, made in an excellent for fall and winter material.

LUCA Leather Terra Low Sneaker in Pebbled White/Off White – $126 ($195)

Surprised to see them on sale for this deep of a discount, even if it’s not exactly prime white-sneaker season. Made in Portugal. The materials and overall design are really impressive. Full review of a different (not on sale) color scheme can be found here. That pebbled white leather upper, off white sole, and leather heel tab looks all kinds of right.

Seiko 5 Sports GMT – $321 ($495)

White dial with a blue GMT hand and two-tone 24-hour bezel. Automatic movement. For a price perspective, the more common blue/black (review here) is going for $357 on Amazon at post time, with white dials only being fulfilled by 3rd party. In terms of authorized sellers, the same watch (at post time) is stuck at $445.50 at Macy’s. So yes. Nice price. While they last.

Flint and Tinder Corduroy Pants – $76 – $88 ($118)

‘Tis the season to put seasonal pants on sale. Straight or Athletic Tapered fits. Whiskey brown, washed black, taupe, or dusty moss.

Relwen Sweatshirt Trap Blazers – $187 ($268)

Relwen’s line of sporting-heritage inspired trap blazers are something of a legend. They take details like game pockets and tab throat closures, and combine those features with easy wearing modern construction and seasonal fabrics. These are their latest, made of a double faced, sweatshirt-like cotton jacquard. So it’s a “swazer” that should look great with everything from an OCBD to a t-shirt. These sportcoats also recently got featured over here.

PROOF 72-Hour Merino Short Sleeve Henleys – $78 ($98)

Navy or Black. Know that they fit trim. A size large fits my 5’10″/180lbs perfect after washing/drying, whereas a medium is too small. Here’s why these are actually worth the price: Made from an odor-resistant and wicking merino wool blend which is also machine washable (and machine dryable as long as you can tumble dry low/keep an eye on it…) these henleys can go for three days of straight wear without starting to smell funky or feel gross. That’s why they were a must-add in our “what to pack when traveling light and in style” advice post. So they’re really three shirts in one. The collars are great too, with those matte black snap buttons.

Made in Portugal LUCA Chelsea Sneaker Boots – $180 – $191 ($225)

Lighter “Desert” suede pair is $180. Darker “Ravine” suede is $191. Literally wearing a pair right now as this is being typed. Admittedly a bit odd at first glance, as they’re not quite a sneaker but not a boot either. Yet once you get a pair of something like these, you may find yourself wearing them all the time. They’ve got some substance, they look good with lots of smart casual stuff (from tees and jeans to cords and swazers), and as they’re a slip on, they’re easy to leave by the door and quickly transition into when you get home if you so choose. They’re also substantial and capable enough for wearing all over the place, and my own personal pair have taken a real beating in the last year (and they show no signs of giving up). That natural latex sole has all kinds of comfy “squish.” 5/5. Love these dang things. Fit perspective: Sold in whole sizes only, and my normally 10.5 D feet take an 11 in these. They fit great.

Flint & Tinder 365 Pants in select colors – $81 – $86 ($108)

Price depends on the color and fit combination you’re after.

Flint & Tinder Slim Fit Architect Shirt – $58 ($98)

A basic button down that’s not boring, thanks to the charcoal gray herringbone + donegal fabric. Overbuilt with details like reinforced elbow patches and a bi-swing construction in the back for additional shoulder movement.

Flint & Tinder Rough Out Trucker – $558 ($798)

Was stuck on sale in the $600s, but now with a fresh reduction and $240 off. That’s quite the suede jacket. Not cheap, but suede or leather jackets aren’t cheap. Clearly (well) over the $98 free shipping threshold, so this ships and returns for free like a lot of the other stuff. But that’s always a plus when it’s an investment item like this.

Rhodes Footwear Vibram 2060 Wedge Chelsea Boot – $210 ($248)

Well those look like substantial shi crap-kickers. Suede uppers, Goodyear welted, lightweight Vibram 2060 Sport outsole, and handcrafted in León, Mexico. RE Sizing: they suggest sizing up by half as they tend to fit a little small. At least they ship and return for free.

Flint & Tinder Wool-Blend Fisherman Sweater – $109 ($168)

Also shown at the very top of the post in “bone.” 65% wool/35% nylon, bobble-stitch with some “oomph” to deliver all the fisherman-sweater feels. Three colors.

Proof 72-Hour Merino Chino – $106 ($178)

Spendy but exceptional. That said (or heard?)… they’re the pants you may want to be wearing for the zombie apocalypse, the next time you’re moving house, or a long travel day with a business meeting at the tail end of it. And for a fit perspective, know that a 32×32 straight fit works for my 5’10″/180 frame after a quick trip to the tailor for a 1″ hemming on the legs.

Proof 72-Hour Merino 5-Pockets – $133 ($178)

Same fabric, same colors, different pocket style. Not quite sure why they’re more expensive and only on sale in the athletic tapered option, but that’s the nature of an end-of-season sale. It can get a little random.

Barbour Powell Quilted Jacket – $210 ($300)

A slimmer, more modern cut compared to many of Barbour’s other quilted jackets. Insulated with 50 gram polyester fill.

Barbour Lowerdale Quilted Vest – $136 ($195)

And some Barbour vests. Also claims a slimmer fit compared to their more generous, heritage fit pieces.

LUCA Terra Moc Chukka Sneakers – $170 ($200)

Chukka/Sneaker/Moc hybrids made with incredible materials and a real attention to detail in terms of construction. And comfortable. Really comfortable. Another bestseller. Almost 5/5 stars after 200+ reviews.

Made in Portugal Wills Garment Dyed Stretch-Cotton Blazer – $148 ($228)

More basic than the Wellen Trap Blazers. Which is great if you’re not looking for something that straddles the line between heritage-sporting and modern sportcoat. Just want a more casual leaning, cotton (97% cotton/3% spandex) blazer? Then this one is worth a shot. Unlined back. Patch pockets. 50% off helps too. Reviews seem to indicated it might have some wonk to the fit, but taking it to a tailor may solve that.

Vans Premium Authentic Sneaker – $53 ($75)

Never out of season… if you pull a Fred Rogers and swap out your outdoor shoes for indoor sneakers when you hit the threshold every day.

F&T Fine Merino Sweater Hoodies – $103 – $111 ($148)

“Hoodie, but make it wool.” Blue is $103. Gray is $111.

USA Made F&T Flannel-Lined Denim Trucker Jacket – $208 ($298)

Their waxed truckers are still at full price (and not expecting a sale anytime soon) but these denim jackets are cut and sewn in the U.S., have a toasty flannel lining, and should break in over time too.

Ten Thousand Versatile T-Shirts – $46 ($58)

Ten Thousand is a 3rd party brand Huckberry sometimes carries, and they’re a new(er), spendy, technical apparel outfit which has carved out a nice audience within the ultra/cross training/work hard & play hard community. Think of them as lululemon, only with calluses on their hands and dirt under their fingernails. They make a LOT of stuff in black. And dark gray. And other grays and greens. Which is why their on-sale colors are often like those seen above (not black or dark gray).

F&T Quilted Waxed Shirt Jacket – $172 ($288)

Flint and Tinder Quilted Waxed Shirt Jacket

British Millerain waxed canvas. Not made in the USA like their famous waxed trucker, but still looks great from here.

72-Hour Merino Polo Shirts – $70 ($88)

Same merino-blend fabric as their excellent 72-hour t-shirts. They really are perfect for travel, or even every-day wear if you’re the type who doesn’t love how regular cotton tees and polos feel and hold onto sweat. These breathe, wick, and since they’re merino wool based, they’re naturally anti-microbial. You can wear one for three days straight without feeling or smelling like you should be confined to quarters for lacking proper hygiene. Only gripe is the collars don’t really have enough structure (or a button down style collar) for wearing with a blazer or sportcoat unless you button the top button. But the polo + sportcoat/swazer look isn’t everyone’s particular cup of style tea, so these are still very much worth a mention.

Novesta Marathon Trail Retro Sneaker – $151 ($189)

Shades of the old Victory Sportswear Speedrunners… only not so darn expensive. Three colors. Made in Slovakia.

F&T York Quilted Waxed Jacket – $208 – $223 ($298)

Four colors. The brilliant midpoint between a waxed jacket and a quilted jacket. Cheapest option is the gray shown above. Dark Navy, Olive, and Brown are $223.

Bellroy Via Workbag – $94 ($135)

Finding a decent casual to smart casual work bag for under $100 can be a challenge. Slim but spacious. Black and gray. Lots to like in a minimalist but smart design.

Wellen Seawool Fisherman Crewneck Sweater – $79 ($158)

One of Huckberry’s bestsellers.

“The heck is Seawool?”

Good question. It’s a yarn spun from, wait for it, pulverized oyster shells and recycled plastic bottles. 50% recycled polyester, 20% viscose, 20% nylon, 10% wool.

F&T Stretch Selvedge Denim – $94 ($118)

Flint and Tinder’s selvedge jeans for the denim heads who don’t want to spend multiple hundreds on super-artisan jeans which to justify their insane price tags have been hand massaged and woven in a hyperbaric chamber. Or something. Translation: these are made in China. There’s no break-in time, the weight (11.7 oz) is great for year-round wear, and they come in the four “HB” fits a lot of us have gotten used to (HB Slim, Athletic Tapered, Straight, and Classic).

F&T The Jackson Quilted Jacket – $159 ($228)

F&T’s take on classic 1970’s style mountain-wear. Navy or Evergreen. Not made in the USA like their waxed truckers and rancher jackets. These are made in Vietnam.

Proof 72-Hour Merino UPF Hoodie – $110 ($138)

Another 72-hour merino pick, this time their hoodie. Not bulky, no kangaroo pocket up front, and thumbholes at the cuffs keep the sleeves in place. And like all the other 72-hour gear, the merino blend wicks and breathes and has natural anti-stink properties.

Rhodes Vibram 430 Mini Lug Lace Up Boot – $201 ($268)

Looks great, but the fit will be wonky for some. See Adam’s review (our shoe expert) here. At least they ship/return for free.

Relwen Quilted Insulated Tanker Jackets – $222 – $254 ($318)

Pretty uncompromising. Nylon/cotton shell kicks that cheap “sheen” seen on other quilted jackets to the curb. Peached finish gives it that perfect look and feel. Pockets. So many pockets. And the interior is anything but forgotten. Ships and returns free.

Matador GlobeRider Travel Backpack – 45L – $262 ($350)

For the serious travelers, adventurers, etc. Heavy duty, waterproof, a full internal frame, and has a good amount of space (22” x 11” x 12⅞). Cushioned, breathable back panel, shoulder straps, and padded/breathable hip belt for added comfort/those long treks with your gear on your back.

Flint and Tinder 365 Utility Blazer – $158 ($198)

Gah. Price is right and it looks good on the screen, but it could very well be suffering from a shorter than average tail AND functioning sleeve cuff buttons. So if you wanna take a flyer on it, go for it, but if it shows up and fits poorly in the length of the tail and/or sleeves, know that there’s not much a tailor can do about either of those issues (assuming the sleeve cuffs really are functioning).

Huckberry’s big Up to 45% off Winter Clearance Event is set to run through New Year’s Day… but expect a lot of this stuff to sell out (at least in popular sizes and colors) well before that.

Huckberry: 15% off Sitewide Annual Sale https://dappered.com/2025/11/huckberry-15-off-sitewide-annual-sale-2/ Wed, 12 Nov 2025 12:12:20 +0000 https://dappered.com/?p=276016 Heads up: Buying via our links results in us getting a commission (not always, but just about), which helps keep the lights on around here. Huckberry 15% off Almost Everything (ends 11/14)

For years now, Huckberry has been a source for hard-working, high performing gear that also looks really really good. They don’t run many sales, so when they do it’s big news. No code needed. 15% off applies in your cart. Note that there are some significant exclusions, but the majority overall is getting the 15% off, including hardly ever on sale items from their in-house brands like Flint and Tinder, PROOF, as well as lots of the USA Made gear they have on hand.

Free shipping kicks in at $98, but returns are at least easy and free (minus outbound shipping costs if you didn’t hit $98). Let’s get on with the picks. Remember, this ends today, 11/12/25 Friday 11/14/25 at midnight Pacific Time.

Correction: They’re running this for three days. Coulda sworn this used to be a 24-hour only event. Sorry about that. Some of the more popular/limited stock may sell out before then though. Bottom line: this runs through Friday 11/14 11:5p pm PT.

Made in the USA Flint and Tinder Waxed Trucker Jacket – $253.30 ($298)

Full review can be found here. They’ve gotta be the most popular thing Huckberry carries. These jackets are built extraordinarily well, made here in the USA, and they’re hardly ever on sale. 7 oz waxed sailcloth canvas exteriors are weather resistant and age like selvedge denim. The wear patterns they create over time are individual to the owner. Which means they’ll break in to your shape, and become even more comfortable with each use. They’re lined in a super-soft blanket-striped lining, so you can wear them over just about anything (even just a t-shirt). But they’re warm enough to wear in the colder months, extreme temperatures not withstanding. Available in regular or tall sizes, and they’re even making a women’s version these days.

Hamilton Khaki Field Murph 38mm – $845.85 ($995)

Stunned they’re offering any kind of savings on Hamilton watches. And the Murph is included? Brilliant. Almost $150 off. And if you’re pining after the version with the stainless steel bracelet, don’t worry. Hamilton sells those separate now so you can pick one up over there and have the best of both worlds.

Made in the USA Flint and Tinder Soft Wash Tees – $32.30 ($38)

The newest USA made tees from Huckberry and their Flint and Tinder brand. Clearly not cheap like something from Target or Amazon or Old Navy, but they’re 100% cotton (heather gray is 90% cotton/10% poly), garment dyed, and now at least a little bit less spendy with the 15% off.

Flint & Tinder 365 Utility Blazer – $168.30 ($198)

The casual to smart casual blazer for guys who want to wear something a little extra (but not too much.) 98% Cotton, 2% Spandex. Unlined. Even has side tabs to dial in the fit. Five colors.

LUCA Leather Terra Low Sneaker in Pebbled White/Off White – $165.75 ($195)

Sneaker splurge anyone? Made in Portugal. The materials and overall design are really impressive. Full review of a different color scheme can be found here.

Flint and Tinder 365 Pants in Slim, Straight, or Tapered Fit – $91.80 ($108)

Not cheap yet absolutely has a dedicated fan base. 5 pocket style, feels like a chino, but engineered and woven with 2% spandex for stretch. Garment-dyed, soft, 98% cotton that’s pre-shrunk and ready to become a favorite right away. Note that while once upon a time they were made in the USA, they no longer are. Haven’t been for a couple of years now. Nine colors to choose from. $92 doesn’t make for a cheap pair of pants, but Huckberry has sold shed-loads of these things. Head here for a full review and to see how slim, tapered, and straight fits compare side by side.

And if you’re like “wait, didn’t these used to be $98 full price?” You’re right. They’ve gone up in price. Thems be the times though.

Made in the USA Flint and Tinder 365 Belt – $72.25 ($85)

And the belt born of the success of the 365 pants. Something you can wear pretty much every day with almost anything. Available in dark brown, chestnut, tan, or black. They’re what you’d expect. Meaning: nice leather, versatile good looks (casual to smart casual use), and should last and last.

Made in England Sanders Suede Hi Top Chukka Boots – $267.75 ($315)

Huckberry to the the rescue, with their with free (contiguous) US shipping at $98, and free returns. Because for the longest time you couldn’t get a pair of these made in the UK, super-comfortable, mega-versatile chukkas without taking a major risk with overseas shipping. Ordering direct through Sanders is great, but over there they go for around $305 + ~$50ish shipping (depending on exchange rate)… PLUS you’d be on the hook for international returns. Meaning if they show up, don’t work out, and you have to ship them back… you could be out-of-pocket a boatload. Not with Huckberry. Full review here.

Flint and Tinder Boiled Wool Chore Blazer – $210.80 ($248)

Back for another year. Chore blazers are often the perfect extra layer. Smart looking but still casual and not structured or stuffy. Boiled wool is a perfect fall/winter fabric. It’s dense (wind and water resistant) but still breathes and moves with you. Combine the two and you get what could be one of the best new releases Flint and Tinder and Huckberry have had in a while. A few different colors to choose from.

Hamilton Khaki Quartz Field Watch – $378.25 ($445)

Full review here. Three colors to pick from. Mechanicals/automatic watches are great, but let’s be serious… we all set our mechanical watches to a quartz when they run out of power. This is a heck of a quartz. Sandblasted case, simple styling, looks and feels great.

Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical 38mm – $573.75 ($675)

“Quartz is great. But do they have the mechanical too?”

Yes they do. Manual wind mechanical movement. 80 hour, yes 80 hour power reserve when fully wound. Full review here.

PROOF 72-Hour Merino Short Sleeve Henleys – $83.30 ($98)

Know that they fit trim. A size large fits my 5’10″/185lbs perfect after washing/drying, whereas a medium is too small. Available in blue or black.

PROOF 72 Hour Merino Blend Tees – $66.30 ($78)

PROOF 72 Hour Merino Blend Tees

“Okay I get you can wear these for three days straight and they’re great for traveling and all, but they’re pricey. So I’m not paying extra for a henley. Are the t-shirts on sale too?” Yes they are. Don’t forget to size up if you take the original slim fit.

Made in Portugal LUCA Chelsea Sneaker Boots – $191.25 ($225)

Two colors of suede or the leather shown above. Literally wearing a pair right now as this is being typed. Admittedly a bit odd at first glance, style-wise (they’re not quite a sneaker but not a boot either). Yet once you get a pair of something like these, you may find yourself wearing them all the time. They’re perfect for those who don’t wear their “outside” shoes inside the house, yet also don’t want to schlep around in slippers all the time. They’ve got some substance, they look good with lots of smart casual stuff (from tees and jeans to cords and swazers), and as they’re a slip on, they’re easy to leave by the door and quickly transition into when you get home. And that natural latex sole has all kinds of comfy “squish.” 5/5. Love love love these dang things. Fit perspective: Sold in whole sizes only, and my normally 10.5 D feet take an 11 in these. They fit great.

LUCA Terra Desert Sneaker Chukkas – $182.75 ($215)

Ah c’mon. They’re making a chukka now too? (Chucks wallet across room to avoid buying the new chukka.) Also made in Portugal.

Huckberry Made in Japan Acrylic, Wool, Nylon, Spandex Beanie – $25.50 ($30)

Flat out terrific. Japanese fabric is just the right weight, and feels good and strong. Sometimes beanies can look good but then slouch and/or shrink. Not these things. Price is nice and affordable too. 11 colors to pick from. A great stocking stuffer/free shipping threshold balance “tipper.”

Filson Dryden Ballistic Nylon Briefcase – $165.75 ($195)

Full review here. An excerpt: “think of the Dryden Briefcase as the chukka boots of your daily carry gear, where the Original Briefcase is more akin to your favorite pair of heavy duty workwear/heritage boots. Depending on the day’s adventure, one option might be better utilized than the other.”

Aged & Ore Travel Decanter – $57.80 ($68)

Because travel, more than ever, can be a real chore.

Huckberry Weekender Sunglasses – $46.75 ($55)

Affordable sunglasses that look and perform better than some junk you got on a convenience store spinner rack. Polarized lenses too. Perfect for winter time, since glare off snow can be irritating and then some. Sizing seems to be on the smaller side of medium. So if you’ve got a big noggin, these might be a pass.

Relwen Quilted Tanker Jackets – $270.30 ($318)

One of their bestsellers because it’s a jacket that’s “all the things.” It’s a field jacket, it’s a quilted jacket, and it’s both modern and timelessly “sporting” all at once. Peached cotton-nylon exterior with a water and stain resistant coating. Box-quilting and lightweight  recycled poly fill insulation for warmth without bulk.

Relwen Windzip Jackets – $227.80 ($268)

Another outerwear option from Relwen. A little “less” than the Tanker… less money, and less visually. Stretchy, breathable, water resistant, and lightweight. Perfect on its own for transitional weather, and should do great under a heavier coat or jacket for layer-worthy coldest snaps.

Flint and Tinder Quilted Waxed Shirt Jacket – $244.80 ($288)

Flint and Tinder Quilted Waxed Shirt Jacket

British Millerain waxed canvas. Not made in the USA like their famous waxed trucker, but still looks great from here. Also available in grey or green.

Faherty Cotton Blend Inlet Knit Blazer – $193.80 ($228)

When you want to dress up but you don’t want to look really dressed up, the “swazer” (aka the knit blazer/sweater hybrid) is your best friend. This one appears to have just enough structure. So it’s not wimpy like a cardigan cut in the shape of a blazer, but it’s not basically a blazer masquerading as something else. Right in-between = just right.

Whiskey Peaks Denali Decanter – $21.25 ($50)

“I don’t know what to get my pal XYZ”
Does XYZ drink?
“Yeah. He likes ABC.”
Get him this, and a really nice bottle of ABC.

PROOF Rover Pants – $100.30 ($118)

PROOF (Huckberry) Rover Pants

  • Size Shown: 32×30 STRAIGHT fit on 5’10″/185
  • Fabric: 73% cotton, 25% Sorbtek, 2% lycra
  • Gusseted? YES!
  • Do they make a “Swish Swish” Noise: No. Absolutely not.
  • Extras: Slim, Straight, or tapered fits. Six colors with some not-the-norm shade options. Dart seams behind knees aide in movement. Sorbtek claims extra wicking capabilities, while rest of fabric makes for a harder-wearing canvas work style pant.

A bit more “adventure-y” than the Flint and Tinder 365. They’re made with something called Sorbtek, which helps regulate temperature and wick moisture. 73% cotton, 25% Sorbtek, 2% lycra is the blend. And second, the gusseted crotch makes for ease of movement. Garment dyed for that worn in but not worn out look. The stretch is miles ahead of an average pair of Dickies, and the gusseted crotch is a very, very big deal for those of us who move around quite a bit while wearing our chosen trousers. Make sure you wash them separately on cold since excess pigment can bleed out for the first couple of washes. Wear the hell out of them though.

Made in Italy Astorflex Brownflex Chukkas – $212.50 ($250)

Full review here. Scored a 4.5/5 from our shoe expert, Adam. Made in Italy, nice materials, and a step up in quality from other cheaper desert boots. A few different colors of suede to pick from, and some smooth leather options (one with a rubber studded sole) too.

Seiko Prospex “Alpinist” SPB117 – $637.50 ($750)

A modern take on what was quite literally Seiko’s first (circa 1959) sports watch, but refined enough that it can easily be a smart casual or even dress watch here in 2023. Could sell out.

Wellen Wellknit Joggers – $56.10 ($88)

On sale and getting the additional 15% off. Soft, stretchy, and a clean ankle (no scrunchy elastic) so they look a little more polished than most other joggers. AND they have an inseam gusset.

Walden (Huckberry) Airman – $46.75 FINAL ($99)

Probably the shades of 2025. They feel solid in the hand, the acetate frames are super smooth, and this red tortoise pair is a perfect lookalike (without the droopy/enormous lenses) to the pair the main character in that one race car movie wears. On sale and the 15% off stacks. Final sale. No returns or exchanges.

The 15% off Huckberry just about sitewide sale ends Friday 11/14/24 at 11:59pm PT. Also note that they do usually run some cyber week specials for Black Friday. Who knows what will be in that batch in a couple weeks. They might not even know yet, until they see how this 15% off annual sale goes. That’s the game though, right?

Huckberry: Extra 15% off Sale Items (exp 3/11)

So… (puts on tweed blazer…) certain economic factors seem to indicate that things might not be getting cheaper anytime soon. Again.

EXCEPT FOR THE HUCKBERRY SALE SECTION, BABY!

**smashes air horn with unrestrained, immeasurable levels of hype-itude**

Let’s do this. Some new items, some new price reductions, AND an extra 15% off through next Tuesday 3/11. If that doesn’t Smoot your Hawley ain’t nothin’ will. Off we go with the picks. Anything over $98 should ship for free. Any outbound shipping charges are non refundable. Returns are free unless an item has been tagged as final sale (no returns or exchanges on final sale items). Items below had at least a decent size selection at post time, but as this is a true end-of-season clearance, stock may move pretty quick.

Made in the USA WOOL Lined Waxed Trucker in Gray – $243.10 ($358)

Certainly feels like last call for picking up one of these during this clearance season. They call this one the “winterized” version as it’s wool lined, but remember that wool breathes. So while yes it’ll be “extra toasty,” it shouldn’t be suffocating either. Sizes XS, S, and M left at post time.

Made in Portugal Wills Garment Dyed Stretch-Cotton Blazer – $154.70 ($228)

If you’re looking for a more casual leaning, cotton (97% cotton/3% spandex) blazer for spring, then this one is worth a shot. Unlined back. Patch pockets. Ships/returns for free.

Flint and Tinder Lambswool-blend Aran Cable Knit Cardigans – $84.15 – $134.30 ($198)

Was plumb sold out, but has since gotten a significant restock. Back in all three colors. Forest Green = $134.30, Charcoal = $100.30, and the Navy is $84.15. Cozy and cool. As classic as it gets. 60% lambswool / 40% nylon.

USA Made Red Wing Weekender Chukkas – $170 ($250)

A lot less “clunk” than a pair of standard Red Wings, but still made in the USA. Perfect for casual wear. These could sell out.

PROOF AltoLoft Insulated Shirt Jacket – $115.60 ($228)

Their in-house, performance meets rugged adventure brand PROOF is one of the best things Huckberry has going. And this insulated shirt jacket looks like it could be a versatile, travel ready (or just around-town) winner.

PROOF 72 Hour Polos – $59.50 ($88)

For sizing: Consider sizing up. My 5’10″/185 takes a size large and it fits perfectly after the first cold wash/tumble dry low.

More PROOF. Because it appears Mr. Seaplane Man in the insulated shirt jacket shot is wearing one of these merino polos under his shacket.  These are the shirts you can wear for 3 days straight without them starting to stink or feel gross. Note that the collars on these polos are made from the same merino-blend as the body of the shirts. Which feels great, but doesn’t stand up the best under a blazer or sportcoat if that’s what you’ll be using them for. But wow do they feel good, if you like the merino t-shirt/polo “thing” that has caught on these last few years. Select colors are on sale. That gray microstripe (top of the pile above) is extra tempting.

Barbour Beacon Waxed Blazer Jacket – $506.60 ($745)

Attention all of us James Bond style wannabes. The Skyfall jacket just got restocked at Huckberry, it’s on sale, AND the extra 15% off is applying. Yes it’s still half a grand. But there it is.

Relwen Waxed Trap Blazer in Black Olive – $238 ($298)

And a much more affordable alternative to the Barbour skyfall jacket. Still a worthy investment. Same stylistic theory as the Beacon.

Made in the USA Rancourt Wingtip Boots – $234.60 ($395)

Lordy! They’re like if the Camlin died and came back as a god! (Shout out to the verrrry long-time readers.) Made in Maine. Ships and returns for free.

Relwen Windzip Jackets – $158.95 – $181.90 ($268)

Like the F&T Waxed Trucker, these are also a Huckberry bestseller. But these are less heritage and more contemporary (yet still rugged) performance jackets. Lightweight, weather resistant, stretchy, breathable, and lightly insulated. Lots of colors. tons of sizes.

Filson Duffel Backpack Hybrid in Otter Green – $221.85 ($349)

It’s a duffel. It’s a backpack. It’s both. 46l capacity. Dimensions are 23½” L x 12” W x 10” H which works out to 2,820 cubic inches. So not tiny, but not big either.

Made in Italy Astorflex Smooth Leather Chelseas – $153 ($250)

Waitaminute, when did those get here? Seems like a new arrival. Many of us are familiar with the Astorflex suede chelseas with the crepe sole, but these seem new. Studded rubber sole too. Almost all sizes available at post time. Ships and returns for free.

Made in Italy Astorflex Tan Leather Chukkas w/ Studded Rubber Sole – $153 ($225)

Obligatory mention of the chukkas. Full leather lining on these, studded rubber sole for 4-season wear, and smooth leather uppers. A step up in formality from suede upper/crepe sole desert boots, but can still be dressed all the way down to, say, chinos and a tee.

Alex Mill Frontier Jacket in Camo – $148.75 ($250)

A little different but not wildly so. One of those extra layers you can wear as true outerwear, or throw over a t-shirt and wear indoors.

Flint and Tinder York Waxed Vest – $67.15 ($199)

Vest/transitional weather season is here. Lightly insulated. Snap side tabs at the back to dial in the fit if you so choose. Worth noting these aren’t made in the USA like their waxed truckers.

Made in Italy Astorflex Patnoflex Travel Loafer – $118.50 ($198)

Full review here. In case you have a trip to a warm weather wedding already on the books. If so, then consider these as they’re a great, versatile pair of Italian made travel loafers. Did very well with our shoe expert when he reviewed them: “I was honestly surprised at just how comfortable and versatile these Astorflex Patnoflex travel loafers are. The leather is soft and supple, the insole is comfortable out of the box, and the mid-brown color pairs well with a ton of clothing options. Avg. Score: 4.5/5 – Definitely recommended – cooler than camp mocs, better than Sperrys.” Note that they’re not as super-rich looking in color in real life.

Flint and Tinder The Jackson Quilted Jacket – $67.15 – $108.80 ($198)

A puffer, but a retro puffer. F&T’s take on classic 1970’s style mountain-wear. Four colors to pick from including navy, “teak,” brick red and dark forest green. Not made in the USA like their waxed truckers and rancher jackets. These are made in Vietnam. Note that the brick red and dark forest shown above are at the cheapest price point.

Rhodes Goodyear Welted Harrison Chukkas – $93.50 ($220)

Now more than half off, Goodyear welted, and from Huckberry’s deservedly well liked house brand Rhodes.Looks like the uppers are a waxed suede? Comes with an extra set of black, flat waxed laces. Would look great with chinos and a polo, jeans and a t-shirt, etc. A step up from Clarks Bush acres for not that much more cash.

Rhodes Goodyear Welted Harrison Chukka Boots – $112.50 ($220)

And the option in “pebbled whiskey” leather. Also comes with a second set of flat waxed laces.

Flint and Tinder York Quilted Waxed Jacket – $113.90 ($298)

Sizes L, XL, and XXL left at post time. If something can look both classic and also contemporary, this is that. Modern style but still uses that heritage waxed fabric many of us are familiar with. Lightly insulated.

asics Gel-Terrain GTX Sneakers – $120.70 ($190)

Because it’s “slop” season for many outdoor runners. Waterproof gore-tex membrane. Neutral color goes with everything (not that many of us are all that concerned with our style when we set out at 4:45 for a grunt-and-toot jog. Taco-night for dinner the evening before a run was/is a poor decision.

Made in Italy Astorflex Chukkas in Olive – $153 ($225)

That olive shade is unique without being weird. That is assuming it holds true to color in person. Studio lighting + suede can sometimes make for some odd results on the screen compared to in the hand. But they ship and return for free. Head here for an in-person review of the Astorflex chukka, albeit in a different color.

Taylor Stitch The Emerson Blazer – $159.80 ($298)

An unlined, cotton blazer with a bit of character. Three button front, garment dyed, unlined, and made with a mid-weight 9 oz fabric. Patch pockets on the exterior, but no interior pockets. When they say unlined, they mean it. Should look great with a t-shirt. Clearly looks good with an OCBD (as shown above).

Made in Portugal LUCA Runner Sneaker – $72.25 ($180)

Sneaker season is back. 80s style sneakers made from good materials now at a cheap-sneaker price.

Flint and Tinder Highlands Guide Crewneck Sweater – $75.65 ($128)

Soon to be exiting sweater season, but that’s why sweaters are on sale right now. A rugged crewneck made from 80% lambswool and 20% nylon through the body, with waxed cotton elbow patches.

Relwen Quilted Tanker Jackets – $215.90 ($318)

One of their bestsellers because it’s a jacket that’s “all the things.” It’s a field jacket, it’s a quilted jacket, and it’s both modern and timelessly “sporting” all at once. Peached cotton-nylon exterior with a water and stain resistant coating. Box-quilting and lightweight recycled poly fill insulation for warmth without bulk. Sizes are scattered depending on what color you’re looking at.

Rhodes Tyler Chukkas – $121.55 ($220)

One of those items that showed up in the sale section last week and a few of us started to smell a bigger sale on the way. Always worth a mention when these get any kind of markdown. Full review of the suede option can be found here. Bummed the suede is stuck to full price at post time.

PROOF Moonweight Quilted Shirt Jacket – $134.30 ($198)

As we’re heading into transitional-jacket/unpredictable weather season. Ultra lightweight, quilted without being bulky, and weather resistant. Can work on its own during more temperate spring days, and can also be an extra layer during cold snaps. Ships and returns for free. Size medium and large left at post time.

Relwen Wool-Blend Heritage Trap Blazers – $243.10 ($358)

A blazer which screams fall. Which is why it’s on sale, now headed into the spring. 75% wool/25% nylon blend. The guncheck options in particular are very “heritage” looking, yet the whole thing is unstuffed and easier wearing than anything lurking in the back of Gramps’ closet. Sizes are scattered depending on which color/pattern you’re after.

PROOF 72 Hour Merino Long Sleeve Henleys – $86.70 ($128)

Scattered sizes at best, but remember most are gonna wanna size down here to accomodate for that first wash/dry shrinkage. So if you’re normally a size large, consider taking an XL. And there are plenty of those left. For now.

Flint and Tinder Boiled Wool Chore Blazer in Loden – $161.50 ($238)

Sizes S, L, and XL available at post time. Unstructured but made with boiled wool so it’ll have a bit more heft while still remaining breathable.

Huckberry’s extra 15% off sale items deal is set to run through Tuesday 3/11/25. As it’s a true end-of-season clearance, don’t be surprised if some of this stuff sells out quickly in popular sizes and colors.

Huckberry: Up to 40% off annual winter Sale

And what was a trickle has become a pretty solid deluge.

The last couple of weeks has seen a few new, surprising items added to the Huckberry sale section. And now they’ve stopped beating around the bush and just dumped a whole lotta rugged-yet-good-looking-goodness in there.

Free shipping still kicks in at $98, but returns are at least easy and free minus any outbound shipping costs if you didn’t hit $98. Final sale items are extraordinarily rare with Huckberry, but know that anything tagged as final sale can’t be returned or exchanged. Let’s dig in.

Flint and Tinder York Quilted Waxed Jacket – $163 ($298)

If something can look both classic and also contemporary, this is that. Modern style but still uses that heritage waxed fabric many of us are familiar with. Lightly insulated.

Rhodes Goodyear Welted Harrison Chukka Boots – $154 ($220)

Would look great with jeans. Would excel with chinos and a polo in warmer weather. Big fan of the Huckberry house brand Rhodes. They make some solid, reasonably priced boots. Also comes with a second set of flat waxed laces if the yellow cords aren’t your particular cup of tea.

Taylor Stitch The Emerson Blazer – $188 ($298)

An unlined, cotton blazer with a bit of character. Three button front, garment dyed, unlined, and made with a mid-weight 9 oz fabric. Patch pockets on the exterior, but no interior pockets. When they say unlined, they mean it. Should look great with a t-shirt. Clearly looks good with an OCBD (as shown above).

Made in Italy Rhodes Bitflex Chelseas – $180 ($250)

Rock and Roll. Studded rubber sole for staying upright on all sorts of surfaces, and kicking out all sorts of jams.

Flint and Tinder Recycled Cotton Headlands Cardigan Sweater – $126 ($158)

UPDATE: Weirdly the price jumped on this. Was $79, now $126? WTH?

A classic, textured shawl-collar cardigan for those who favor cotton over wool. Shawl collar keeps you warm. Textured weave helps with breathability.

Made in the UK Sanders Wilson Unlined Apron Derby Boot – $204 ($340)

From the same folks who make the legendary Hi-Top chukkas. Admittedly… these are a little weird. They’ve got an Indy-like workboot shape, a studded rubber sole, and an apron toe… yet they’re unlined and less structured. No personal experience, but… intrigued. RE Sizing, Huck seems to suggest going up half a size: “The Wilson Unlined Apron Derby Boot has a standard fit that runs slightly small, we recommend going up half a size.” So if you’re normally a 10.5, try an 11 with these. Thankfully they ship and return for free as they’re over the $98 free shipping threshold.

Made in the USA WOOL Lined Waxed Truckers – $268 – $286 ($358)

On sale in field tan or chocolate brown. They call this one the “winterized” version as it’s wool lined, but remember that wool breathes. So while yes it’ll be “extra toasty,” it shouldn’t be suffocating either.

USA Made Flannel-Lined Quilted Waxed Rancher Jackets – $199 – $278 ($398)

And now a Made in the USA waxed jacket option for those who want something a little different than the standard trucker silhouette. Gray option is now just under $200, while the  forest green and field tan options are a bit more at $278.

Made in Italy Astorflex Tan Leather Chukkas w/ Studded Rubber Sole – $180 ($225)

Full leather lining on these, studded rubber sole for 4-season wear, and smooth leather uppers. A step up in formality from suede upper/crepe sole desert boots, but can still be dressed all the way down to, say, chinos and a tee.

Made in Italy Astorflex Chukkas in Olive – $180 ($225)

And the crepe soled version. That olive shade is unique without being weird. That is assuming it holds true to color in person. Studio lighting + suede can sometimes make for some odd results on the screen compared to in the hand. But they ship and return for free. Head here for an in-person review of the Astorflex chukka, albeit in a different color.

Relwen Corduroy Trap Blazers – $180 – $262 ($328)

In bottle green (top, $180) dark navy ($262,) or gray ($229.) Relwen’s line of Trap Blazers are modern classics. They take all of the “sporting” details from jackets of the past, and work them into versatile blazers that can be worn everywhere from an office to the bar to on a long trip. The corduroy version is all sorts of right for this time of year.

Il Bussetto Slim Card Holder – $32 ($59)

Less is more. Often. Especially when it comes to slimming down your wallet.

On Cloudhorizon Waterproof Hiking Sneakers – $130 ($190)

“On’s most cushioned waterproof hiking shoe.” Well, there it is.

Give’r Classic Gloves – $45 ($75)

When did buying a pair of gloves require selling a kidney? Thankfully these are affordable with the sale. Not over-insulated so you can use them year-round for just about anything. Which is why they’re called the “gloves of 1,000 uses.” Beeswax coating also helps keep them working (and looking) good. All sizes available at post time. Free shipping won’t kick in until $98, but they do return for free.

PROOF 72 Hour Polos – $70 ($88)

A rare sale on some of PROOF’s mega popular 72 hour line.

Flint and Tinder Quilted Sweatpants – $63 ($98)

“Hey, do you have a recommendation for any super-cozy sweatpants?” … literally a text I got from a buddy the other day. Hi Michael!

Schott Funnel Neck Military Sweater – $100 ($155)

Protect ya neck.” 80% wool / 20% nylon.

Made in the USA GORUCK 21L – $268 ($335) or 26L Backpacks – $276 ($345)

Note that for sizing, if you’re under 6′ you’ll want the 21L. If you’re over 6′ you’ll want the 26L. As a recent convert to rucking, I (the Joe guy) can vouch for the hype. I was skeptical for the longest time. But after our beloved four-legged oxytocin provider crossed the rainbow bridge to the other side, I just started walking. Pretty much every day. Alone. Without my usual, furry partner.  “Just walking” feels a little weird at first. But then if you start to do it at pace and get in a rhythm, it becomes really peaceful and oddly purposeful. You’re training for the thing humans have needed to do (get up and go somewhere) since we started crawling and farting around this spinning blue sphere. Adding a little weight gives it even more purpose. Because rucking (ie putting on a rucksack with a little weight in it) is cardio and strength training all at once, and it won’t leave you cooked for the rest of the day. So yeah. Nice looking packs, there. Clearly a splurge though. And thanks for listening.

Flint and Tinder The Jackson Quilted Jacket – $148 ($198)

A puffer, but a retro puffer. F&T’s take on classic 1970’s style mountain-wear. Four colors to pick from including navy, “teak,” brick red and dark forest green. Not made in the USA like their waxed truckers and rancher jackets. These are made in Vietnam.

Made in Portugal LUCA Runner Sneaker – $85 ($180)

80s style sneakers made from good materials now at a cheap-sneaker price.

Flint and Tinder Lambswool-blend Aran Cable Knit Cardigan – $99 – $158 ($198)

Back in stock. Three colors, with prices all over the place. Navy = $99. Charcoal = $118. Forest Green = $158. Sizes are scattered. Cozy and cool. As classic as it gets. 60% lambswool / 40% nylon. These may move really fast.

Greys Indoor/Outdoor Slipper Boots – $64 ($108)

Probably last call on these for another year. Updated for this winter with a larger, reinforced leather heel section for those of us who use the toes on the opposite foot to pry off/kick off our slip-on shoes. An incredible, breathable, at home slipper/shoe/hybrid-thingy.

Greys Indoor/Outdoor Slipper Boots in charcoal/black – $43 ($108)

And the dark charcoal and black version. Even cheaper. TACTICAL SLIPPERS. Tacitc… tactica…. Tacticlippers! (obligatory.)

Flint and Tinder Wool-Blend Utility Blazers – $149 – $178 ($298)

Looks great but just be aware that these appear to run a little short in the tail. The model in the pool-hall shot is 5’8″ and wearing a size medium (and sitting, clearly). Standing model untucked-shirt guy is 6’0″. And the tail barely covers his untucked shirt. So these are meant to be worn more casually. Fabric for the shell is 54% Wool, 40% Poly, 6% Other. Unlined back, smooth lining to the sleeves, and side tabs at the waist for a dialed in fit if you so choose. That tan guncheck (on the left) is $178, while the brown herringbone is a bit more but still on sale at $149. Sizes are scattered at best.

Made in England British Commando Wool Sweater – $156 ($195)

Somewhere all of the actors vying to be the next Bond are putting this on and heading to their screen tests. As seen in outfit #3 over here.

Flint and Tinder York Waxed Vest – $99 ($199)

Vest/transitional weather season will be here soon enough. Lightly insulated. Snap side tabs at the back to dial in the fit if you so choose. Worth noting these aren’t made in the USA like their waxed truckers.

Made in Italy Astorflex Patnoflex Travel Loafer – $139 ($198)

Full review here. In case you have a trip to a warm weather wedding already on the books. If so, then consider these as they’re a great, versatile pair of Italian made travel loafers. Did very well with our shoe expert when he reviewed them: “I was honestly surprised at just how comfortable and versatile these Astorflex Patnoflex travel loafers are. The leather is soft and supple, the insole is comfortable out of the box, and the mid-brown color pairs well with a ton of clothing options. Avg. Score: 4.5/5 – Definitely recommended – cooler than camp mocs, better than Sperrys.”

Rhodes Tyler Chukkas – $165 ($220)

One of those items that showed up in the sale section last week and a few of us started to smell a bigger sale on the way. Always worth a mention when these get any kind of markdown. Full review of the suede option can be found here. Bummed the suede is stuck to full price at post time.

Beer Can Necklace in Sterling Silver – $86 ($115)

I mean. The thing about wearable symbolism is that it means many different things to many different people, right?

Huckberry x Danner Mountain 600 GTX Hiking Boots – $154 ($220)

As low as they’ve gone for, but sizes are pretty picked over at post time. “Crunchy” style, highly functional, and wow does that suede look good. 100% waterproof, gore-tex lined, and a build that strikes the right balance between comfort and rugged performance.

Made in Portugal Wills Garment Dyed Stretch-Cotton Blazer – $182 ($228)

Just want a more casual leaning, cotton (97% cotton/3% spandex) blazer? Then this one is worth a shot. Unlined back. Patch pockets. Ships/returns for free.

Flint and Tinder Quilted Waxed Shirt Jacket – $198 ($288)

Flint and Tinder Quilted Waxed Shirt Jacket

British Millerain waxed canvas. Not made in the USA like their famous waxed trucker, but still looks great from here. Also available in grey or green.

Brightech Leaf Floor Lamp – $70 ($110)

Hello Pants. I love lamp. A dappered space pick.

Whiskey Peaks Heavy Bottom Mountain Glasses – set of 2 – $22 ($40)

Cheers to making it to the end of this Huckberry sale post. A new addition to the Whiskey Peaks lineup. Heavy base, double wall construction, and as these are Whiskey Peaks, there’s a mountain in that base.

Huckberry’s annual Up to 40% off Winter Sale is set to run through Thursday Feb. 6th… but expect a lot of this stuff to sell out (at least in popular sizes and colors) long before that.

Relwen Corduroy Trap Blazers – $229 ($328)

Relwen’s line of “Trap” blazers are modern classics. They take all of the “sporting” details from jackets of the past, and work them into versatile blazers that can be worn everywhere from an office to the bar to on a long trip. The corduroy version is all sorts of right for the colder seasons. And that bottle green color is sharp.

Relwen Flyweight Trap Blazers – $238 ($298)

And then there are these specifically for those who DON’T want a corduroy or tweedy or even knit “swazer.” Say you’re just in the market for a casual leaning cotton blazer. These be that option from Relwen. Same quiet details inspired by traditional sporting jackets, only in a lightweight, garment washed, 97% cotton / 3% spandex fabric. Lots of colors to pick from.

Greys Indoor/Outdoor Slipper Boots – $75 ($108)

Updated for this winter with a larger, reinforced leather heel section… probably for those of us who use the toes on the opposite foot to pry off/kick off our slip-on shoes. An incredible, breathable, at home slipper/shoe/hybrid-thingy. A couple of different colors are at this price at post time.

PROOF 72 Hour Merino Long Sleeve Henleys – $102 ($128)

Not a big discount, but hard to get one’s hands on because they have a tendency to sell out. Like, now. Sizes are pretty picked over. From that merino blend collection which can be worn for three days straight and not feel gross or smell like an old warthog’s bad coffee breath. Do make sure you size up as they can shrink when washed/dried. A size large fits my 5’10″/185lbs just right AFTER the first wash/dry.

Rhodes Harrison Chukka Boot in Wax Top Tan – $165 ($220)

Would look great with jeans. Would excel with chinos and a polo in warmer weather. Big fan of the Huckberry house brand Rhodes. They make some solid, reasonably priced boots.

Viska Bergham Gloves in Espresso or Black – $37 – $45 ($75)

Funny thing about gloves. They have to fit like them. Which makes buying gloves over the interwebz a tricky proposition. But not today, as these ship free and returns are almost always free (unless it’s final sale or some weird gigantic-item-exception like a pinball machine or grain combine). Gloves are from a Swedish brand. Guessing they don’t make them in Sweden, but could be wrong.

Flint and Tinder Wool-Blend Utility Blazers – $149 – $163 ($298)

Looks great but just be aware that these appear to run a little short in the tail. The model in the pool-hall shot is 5’8″ and wearing a size medium (and sitting, clearly). Standing model untucked-shirt guy is 6’0″. And the tail barely covers his, again, untucked shirt. So these are meant to be worn more casually. Fabric for the shell is 54% Wool, 40% Poly, 6% Other. Unlined back, smooth lining to the sleeves, and side tabs at the waist for a dialed in fit if you so choose. That tan guncheck (on the left) is $143, while the brown herringbone is a bit more but still on sale at $163.

Filson Duffel Backpack Hybrid in “Whiskey” – $261 ($349)

It’s a duffel. It’s a backpack. It’s both. 46l capacity. Dimensions are 23½” L x 12” W x 10” H which works out to 2,820 cubic inches. So not tiny, but not big either.

Filson Duffel Backpack Hybrid in Otter Green – $261 ($349)

Same bag, only in Filson’s quieter “otter green” color. (Also wanted to include their “in action” shots above for some scale/perspective)

Made in Portugal Wills Garment Dyed Stretch-Cotton Blazer – $114 ($228)

More basic than the Wellen Trap Blazers. Which is great if you’re not looking for something that straddles the line between heritage-sporting and modern sportcoat. Just want a more casual leaning, cotton (97% cotton/3% spandex) blazer? Then this one is worth a shot. Unlined back. Patch pockets. 50% off helps too. Ships/returns for free as long as you’re good with it not arriving before Christmas.

Walden Passage Sunglasses in Matte Brushed Tortoise – $62 ($125)

For those that want to try something other than black or standard tortoise frames, want something of good quality, and don’t want to break the bank. From Huckberry’s own in-house Walden line. Double diamond rivets at the temples, five barrel riveted hinges, and styling modeled after 1950s rectangular frames. 51mm lens width with a 20mm bridge.

Huckberry x Danner Mountain 600 GTX Hiking Boots – $165 ($220)

“Crunchy” style, highly functional, and wow does that suede look good. 100% waterproof, gore-tex lined, and a build that strikes the right balance between comfort and rugged performance.

PROOF Rover Jungle Shirt – $81 ($148)

For when you need something more than “just” a shirt but a true jacket might be a little much. This looks to be the best of both worlds. Made from a similar blend of which their Rover pants are made from. It’s a harder-wearing but still quite comfortable 63% Cotton, 35% Repreve Trutemp 365, 2% Lycra blend. That “trutemp” stuff claims to be moisture wicking and temperature regulating.

Mystery Ranch Wheelie Travel Luggage Bag – $272 ($389)

“Wheelie plz, but make it bad-arse.” A bit bigger than what airlines allow for carry on. This one is 26″ x 16.5″ x 14″ (whereas most carry-on limits are 22″ x 14″ x 9″).

Made in Italy Astorflex Chukkas in Olive – $191 ($225)

Not the biggest discount but Astorflex chukkas are popular enough that they don’t have to discount much if at all. Made in Italy, nice materials, and that olive shade is unique without being weird. That is, assuming it holds true to color in person. Studio lighting + suede can sometimes make for some odd results on the screen compared to in the hand. But they ship and return for free. Head here for an in-person review of the Astorflex chukka, albeit in a different color.

Italian Moleskin Spaghetti Western Shirt – $84 ($168)

When these came out they might have caught a few of our eyes because they use Italian woven, super soft moleskin, only cut and sewn into a classic bone-snap western style shirt. BUT ALMOST ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY DOLLARS?!? Look, eighty-four-bucks is far from cheap. But at least it’s unique, and that deep “holiday red” looks good… especially this time of year. Cut and sewn in China. Fabric is from Italy. Don’t get confused on that point.

Flint and Tinder Lambswool-blend Aran Cable Knit Cardigan – $118 ($198)

Three colors. Cozy and cool. As classic as it gets. 60% lambswool / 40% nylon. Percent chance this gets “borrowed” by a significant other and never given back is approximately 85%. So keep your eyes on it.

Made in Italy La Sportiva TX4 Evo Mid GTX Hiking Boots – $142 ($219)

Another hiking boot/sneaker mashup that won’t leave you feeling or looking overwhelmed on after-work or day hikes. Gore-Tex lined. That and they just look good and mean in that dark gray/black color scheme. “Granola” style can look a lot less granola when it’s not the same color as granola.

Flint and Tinder Highlands Guide Crewneck Sweater – $83 ($128)

A rugged crewneck made from 80% lambswool and 20% nylon through the body, with waxed cotton elbow patches.  Y’know, for durability. For all those “highlands guide” trips you take people on. All that highlands guidin’ is hard on the ol’ elbows lemme tell you!

Flint and Tinder Moleskin Bomber Jacket in Charcoal – $198 ($248)

For those who’d like to try a suede jacket but don’t want to actually get (read: spend the huge money) on a suede jacket. Don’t worry, no moles were harmed in the making of the fabric. Moleskin is a cotton fabric. It’s matte, has a short nap, and is super soft.

Made in Italy Astorflex Patnoflex Travel Loafer – $158 ($198)

Full review here. Got a warm weather getaway planned? If so, then consider these as they’re a great, versatile pair of Italian made travel loafers. Did very well with our shoe expert when he reviewed them: “I was honestly surprised at just how comfortable and versatile these Astorflex Patnoflex travel loafers are. The leather is soft and supple, the insole is comfortable out of the box, and the mid-brown color pairs well with a ton of clothing options. Avg. Score: 4.5/5 – Definitely recommended – cooler than camp mocs, better than Sperrys.”

Relwen Windzip Jacket – $214 ($268)

One of their bestsellers. Lightweight but gets the job done. Breathable and water resistant. 60 gram down-alternative filling for a bit (but not too much) warmth.

Rhodes Tyler Chukkas – $165 ($220)

Always worth a mention when these go on sale. Full review here.

Made in Portugal Corduroy Chore Jacket – $140 ($200)

Chore jackets are a perfect way to dress up just a little bit while still being super casual. That and they’re just plain comfortable and useful, thanks to the pockets. Looks great over a t-shirt or henley.

Made in Germany The Long Splitter Axe – $90 ($139)

Admittedly a niche product with a total addressable audience of about… seven… but if you’ve ever had a wood stove you know a good splitting axe is super valuable. Plus, this one looks cool. See those wings on the head? That means it’s a combo tool. It’s got the heart of an axe but has some attributes/a bit of the physics of a splitting maul. Black handle is textured specifically for grip. And yes, that’s some handle “armour” right under the head. The ol’ swing and a miss but a hit all the same with only the handle can happen to the best of us. It’s a long winter. Lotta shoveling too. Delts and lats get tired.

Flint and Tinder York Waxed Vest – $148 ($199)

Contemporary but still uses the heritage waxed fabric. Lightly insulated. Snap side tabs at the back to dial in the fit if you so choose. Worth noting these aren’t made in the USA.

Altra Olympus 6 Trail Running Sneaker – $122 ($175)

Well those look cool. And functional. Not waterproof for runs in absurd winter ice and slop, but if you run in something approaching normal conditions, then these should do. Vibram Megagrip outsole for grip on surfaces both wet and dry. Premium “Achilles pillow elevates your step-in feel and provides comfort whether you’re on a technical hike, trail racing, or all-day trail running.”

Faherty Cotton Blend Inlet Knit Blazer – $99 ($198)

Nice price on these. A bestseller. But know that sizes are moving quick and small and medium are just about sold out across all the colors already. Ships/returns for free as long as you pick the standard shipping option (no guaranteed Christmas delivery.)

Give’r 4 Season Glove w/ Wax Coating – $72 ($145)

These are those gloves built to handle extreme temperatures. Everything from snowy days to (*wait for it*) grabbing a burning log. Now just because you CAN grab a burning log with these gloves on, doesn’t mean you should.

Made in England British Commando Wool Sweater – $146 ($195)

Somewhere all of the actors vying to be the next Bond are putting this on… and probably awkwardly “smoldering” into a hotel bathroom mirror.

EDIT: Just found this at Nordstrom for twenty bucks less. Ships/returns for free over there as well.

USA Made Filson Horween CXL Card Case – $66 ($110)

Hard to get more straightforward, or black, than that. Kryptonite for Costanza wallets. Four slots for compact carry.

Flint and Tinder The Jackson Quilted Jacket – $99 ($198)

F&T’s take on classic 1970’s style mountain-wear… now half off. That’s nice of them. Four colors to pick from including navy, “teak,” and the brick red and dark forest green shown above. Not made in the USA like their waxed truckers and rancher jackets. These are made in Vietnam.

Huckberry Made in Japan Acrylic, Wool, Nylon, Spandex Beanie – $21 ($30)

Japanese fabric is just the right weight, and feels good and strong. Sometimes beanies can look good but then slouch and/or shrink. Not these things. Price is nice and affordable too. 10 colors to pick from.

New Balance 990 Made in USA Sneaker – $170 ($200)

Full commitment to the Dad-Sneaker-Life might just require a pair of USA Made New Balance. “Grills just wanna have fun,” baby.

Newgate Planet Mantel Clock – $43 FINAL ($79)

A rare final sale item. So no returns or exchanges. A Dappered space pick. Because sometimes a glance at the time shouldn’t require a cell phone (or even wristwatch) check. Wall and mantle clocks can also look good. Like this one. Nice price too. At post time these were full price on Amazon.

Corduroy Western Shirt – $76 ($118)

A classic western-styled shirt in soft corduory, and a “hook ’em” shade of burnt orange. Aggies and sooners fans wouldn’t be caught dead in it.

Relwen Quilted Tanker Jackets – $222 ($318)

One of their bestsellers because it’s a jacket that’s “all the things.” It’s a field jacket, it’s a quilted jacket, and it’s both modern and timelessly “sporting” all at once. Peached cotton-nylon exterior with a water and stain resistant coating. Box-quilting and lightweight  recycled poly fill insulation for warmth without bulk. Not all colors are getting the discount at post time. Drat.

Whiskey Peaks Heavy Bottom Mountain Glasses – set of 2 – $28 ($40)

If you made it all the way to the end of this sale post… you deserve a drink. Put it in one of these. A new addition to the Whiskey Peaks lineup. Heavy base, double wall construction, and as these are Whiskey Peaks, there’s a mountain in that base.

Whiskey Peaks Denali Decanter – $25 ($50)

Because it’s not a true Huckberry Sale unless their mountain decanter from Whiskey Peaks makes an appearance.

Huckberry’s big Up to 45% off Winter Clearance Event is set to run through New Year’s Day… but expect a lot of this stuff to sell out (at least in popular sizes and colors) well before that.

Huckberry 15% off Almost Everything (ends Fri.)

For years now, Huckberry has been a source for hard-working, high performing gear that also looks really really good. They don’t run many sales, so when they do it’s big news. No code needed. 15% off applies in your cart. Note that there are some significant exclusions this time which include but are not limited to: American Optical, Barbour, Hestra, Patagonia, Red Wing, Schott, Sunski, and watches from Citizen, Hamilton, Momentum, Seiko, Shinola, Timex, Unimatic, and VAER. Drat.

But the majority overall is getting the 15% off, including hardly ever on sale items from their in-house brands like Flint and Tinder, PROOF, as well as lots of the USA Made gear they have on hand.

Got all that? Free shipping kicks in at $98, but returns are at least easy and free (minus outbound shipping costs if you didn’t hit $98). Let’s get on with the picks.

Made in the USA Flint and Tinder Waxed Trucker Jacket – $253.30 ($298)

Full review can be found here. They’re the most popular thing Huckberry carries.

Made in the USA WOOL Lined Waxed Truckers – $304.30 ($358)

They call this one the “winterized” version as it’s wool lined, but remember that wool breathes. So while yes, it’ll be “extra toasty,” it also shouldn’t be suffocating.

Whiskey Peaks Glassware

Whiskey Peaks Glassware

Tis the season for good friends, good drinks, and nice glassware. These also make an excellent gift when paired with a bottle of top-shelf stuff for that pal of yours who you just don’t know what to get for the holidays. Wouldn’t be a Huckberry sale without these, right? Lead free, hand blown glass decanters and rocks glasses with raised topographic impressions of some of the world’s most famous geological wonders. Remember that free shipping at Huckberry doesn’t kick in until $98, so perhaps this is something you consider to trip that threshold.

Whiskey Peaks Heavy Bottom Mountain Glasses – set of 2 – $34 ($40)

A new addition to the Whiskey Peaks lineup. Sippin’ like they used to, out of a glass with a heavy base and double wall construction. But as these are Whiskey Peaks, there’s a mountain in that base, so your neat or “on the rocks” will literally be sitting on top of one of three famous very large rocks (Denali, Half Dome, or Mt. Rainer).

Flint and Tinder Boiled Wool Chore Blazer – $202.30 ($238)

These could sell quick. Four colors to choose from. That medium to lighter leaning gray might be the real pick for sake of versatility.

Flint and Tinder 365 Pants in Slim, Straight, or Tapered Fit – $83.30 ($98)

Not cheap yet absolutely has a dedicated fan base. 5 pocket style, feels like a chino, but engineered and woven with 2% spandex for stretch. Garment-dyed, soft, 98% cotton that’s pre-shrunk and ready to become a favorite right away. Note that while once upon a time they were made in the USA, they no longer are. Haven’t been for a couple of years now. Nine colors to choose from. $84 doesn’t make for a cheap pair of pants, but Huckberry has sold shed-loads of these things. Head here for a full review and to see how slim, tapered, and straight fits compare side by side.

Rhodes Blake Chelseas – $187 ($220)

Durable, comfortable, and weirdly versatile. Can be worn with everything from twill 5-pockets and a t-shirt to cords and a sweater blazer. Rugged for sure though. Know that these run a little trim and can take a bit of breaking in. But once they do, they’re as comfortable as it gets. A size 10.5 D fits my borderline wide feet after some break in time like a glove. If you’ve got feet that require a true wide fit, they suggest sizing up by half.

PROOF 72-Hour Merino Short Sleeve Henleys – $83.30 ($98)

Know that they fit trim. A size large fits my 5’10″/185lbs perfect after washing/drying, whereas a medium is too small. Available in multiple blues, grays, olive, black, etc. Favor the 72-hour henleys over the 72-hour tees or polos. Why? The collars. The black snap buttons are cool, and the collars feel and lay better than either the tees or polos. Get the henleys… although the tees are a favorite too. (But I always reach for my navy or black 72 hour henley first, FWIW.)

PROOF 72 Hour Merino Long Sleeve Henleys – $108.80 ($128)

And the long sleeve versions, because it’s long sleeve season. $109 though. On SALE. Good gracious. If it makes any difference (checks order history) I (the Joe guy) bought my black and navy (short sleeve) henleys in May of 2023, wear them all the time, and they show no signs of giving up any time soon. The matte black coating on the buttons has started to chip off a little, but that’s from them being bounced around in the dryer often because they get worn so much. The garment/fabric/construction doesn’t seem to be showing any real wear. YMMV of course.

Greys Indoor/Outdoor Slipper Boots – $91.80 ($108)

They’ve been updated! Now with a larger, reinforced leather heel section… probably for those of us who use the toes on the opposite foot to pry off/kick off our slip-on shoes. (Because really, who doesn’t do that?) An incredible, breathable, at home slipper/shoe/hybrid-thingy. A few different colors and even upper materials to pick from, but the OG gray wool version shown above is what most of us will want. And enjoy.

Flint and Tinder York Quilted Waxed Jacket – $253.30 ($298)

Hey now. That’ll do. A little less “trucker” and a little more, uh… “bad mother-trucker.” Contemporary but still uses the heritage waxed fabric. Lightly insulated. Also available in vest form. Worth noting these aren’t made in the USA.

Made in Portugal LUCA Chelsea Sneaker Boots – $182.75 ($215)

Admittedly a bit odd at first glance, style-wise (they’re not quite a sneaker but not a boot either). Yet once you get a pair of something like these, you may find yourself wearing them all the time. They’re perfect for those who don’t wear their “outside” shoes inside the house, yet also don’t want to schlep around in slippers all the time. They’ve got some substance, they look good with lots of smart casual stuff (from tees and jeans to cords and swazers), and as they’re a slip on, they’re easy to leave by the door and quickly transition into when you get home.

Relwen Corduroy Trap Blazers – $278.80 ($328)

Relwen’s line of “Trap” blazers are modern classics. They take all of the “sporting” details from jackets of the past, and work them into versatile blazers that can be worn everywhere from an office to the bar to on a long trip. The corduroy version is all sorts of right for fall, available in four colors, and looks like it could become a true favorite for many.

Relwen Wool-Blend Heritage Trap Blazers – $268.50 ($358)

And the 75% wool/25% nylon blend option. The gunchecks in particular are very “heritage” looking, yet the whole thing is unstuffed and easier wearing than anything lurking in the back of Gramps’ closet.

Hoka Kaha 2 Frost Moc GTX Sneaker Boots – $238 ($280)

When Santa Claus becomes S.W.A.T. Claus. Waterproof and insulated.

Flint and Tinder Nordic Wool Crewneck Sweater – $125.80 ($148)

Pass the lutefisk, Jans.

Aged & Ore Travel Decanter – $49.30 ($58)

On second thought Jans, keep the seafood, and pass whatever you’ve got in that there travel flask.

USA Made Victory Sportswear for Huckberry Classic Runner Sneakers – $212.50 ($250)

The “Dad sneakers” one purchases when you yell “Daddy needs a new pair of shoes!!” at the table and the dice actually fall your way. Those are not the Avia 5000. But they kinda look like them if… you can’t find your glasses. (THEY’RE ON YOUR HEAD, POPS.)

Huckberry Weekender Sunglasses – $33.15 ($39)

Cheap sunglasses that look and perform better than some junk you got on a convenience store spinner rack.

Huckberry x Danner Mountain 600 GTX Hiking Boots – $187 ($220)

“Crunchy” style, highly functional, and wow does that suede look good. 100% waterproof, gore-tex lined, and a build that strikes the right balance between comfort and rugged performance.

Flint and Tinder Straight Fit Japanese Stretch Selvedge Denim – $168.30 ($198)

Attention denim heads and/or those who are really committed to supporting US manufacturing. Denim is sourced from Japan’s Kaihara Mills, which is famous enough that even non-denim geeks (my hand is raised) has heard of them. Timeless straight fit, 98% cotton/2% stretch, and cut/sewn/finished in the USA. Will some of us be just fine sticking with our ~$40 BR Factory Traveler denim? Sure. Will these selvage jeans catch some glances from the “I like nice jeans” crowd? Yes, that too.

Faherty Cotton Blend Inlet Knit Blazer – $168.30 ($198)

When you want to dress up but you don’t want to look really dressed up, the “swazer” (aka the knit blazer/sweater hybrid) is your best friend. This one appears to have just enough structure. So it’s not wimpy like a cardigan cut in the shape of a blazer, but it’s not basically a blazer masquerading as something else. Right in-between = just right.

Rhodes Tyler Chukkas – $187 ($220)

Full Review here. Really, really good. Excels in prime “chinos chukkas polo” season, but also does great with jeans, cords, moleskin five pockets, etc. The sole does well in all conditions (can’t say that about crepe soles) so you can absolutely wear these now and into the near future. I have a pair of the Rhodes Caliber Chelseas with the exact same sole, and I wear them all winter. Also on sale in “tobacco” tan leather.

PROOF Rover Pants – $83.30 ($98)

Made in the UK Peregrine Waxed Bexley Jacket – $318.75 ($375)

Nobody knows waxed outerwear like the Brits. An investment for sure at $300+, but pretty reasonably priced considering it’s made in the UK from 8 oz. Millerain fabric. Available in black, brown, or “mustard.”

Raen Wiley 54mm Sunglasses in Matte Rootbeer – $127.50 ($150)

Nice sunglasses for those who don’t mind spending a pretty penny on eyewear. 54mm diameter should be good for most average sized heads/faces.

Made in Italy Astorflex Brownflex Chukkas – $191.25 ($225)

Full review here. Scored a 4.5/5 from our shoe expert, Adam. Made in Italy, nice materials, and a step up in quality from other cheaper desert boots. A few different colors of suede to pick from, and some smooth leather options (one with a rubber studded sole) too.

USA Made Flint and Tinder Flannel-Lined Quilted Waxed Rancher – $338.30 ($398)

If you love the idea of the famed F&T trucker, but not so much the (shorter) length a trucker style comes with… here’s your jacket. Still waxed and still made in the USA, this one comes with a bit of quilting for insulation and it’s a touch longer than the trucker. For comparison a size large trucker has a 28″ body length, whereas the rancher in size large has a 30.25″ body length. Makes all the difference for those of us who have torsos/frames that don’t do as well as we’d like with traditional trucker silhouettes.

Made in the USA Rancourt Wingtip Boots – $335.75 ($395)

Well hello Mr. Fancy Pants Boots.

Yamakazi (small) Console Table – $67.15 FINAL ($79)

Yamakazi is a Japanese brand that creates excellent, minimalist, small space designs. And this slim console table is a perfect example of just that. Mrs. Dappered and I have this, and as small-space dwellers ourselves, it makes for a great small book(s) & blue-tooth speaker shelf under a picture in our skinny home/shotgun shack. It’s useful, and it doesn’t get in the way. Dimensions are 31.69″ tall, 23.62″ wide, and just 7.28″ deep. Not quite sure why Huckberry has these as final sale. But they are. No returns or exchanges. If you don’t want to take that risk, Amazon has them at not-final-sale but full price.

Picks For Her

From Sarah, author of, among other things, our Dappered Space series: “With this sale, now might not a bad time to pick up a holiday gift or two for the women in your life. Every year Huckberry curates a gifts for her section of their website. Many of these picks are from that, with a few outliers sprinkled in. Nail clippers might seem like a weird gift, but nail grooming and art is kind of a thing right now.”

The 15% off Huckberry just about sitewide sale ends Friday 11/15/23 at 11:59pm CT. Also note that they do usually run some cyber week specials for Black Friday. Who knows what will be in that batch in a couple weeks. They might not even know yet, until they see how this 15% off annual sale goes. That’s the game though, right?

Huckberry: Extra 15% off Sale Items (exp 3/13)

Wait… stuff that’s already on sale is going on more sale? Sale’s on sale! DOUBLE sale!

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?!

It means a lot of shops and brands are stuck between end-of-season clearance events and just before the lion-share of new warm weather arrivals truly land. So if a brand or a retailer has a sale section? It’s time to move this stuff along.

Now there are a few exclusions. Some items aren’t getting an additional 15% off (yet they’re still on sale?) And as of post time, the majority of Huckberry’s sale section is not final sale yet (with a few exceptions, do watch out for those). And while free shipping won’t kick in until $98, returns are at least free. So you won’t get dinged sending something back (although any outbound shipping on purchases under $98 are non-refundable). Ready? Let’s get on with the picks:

Made in Italy Astorflex Bitflex Chelseas – $170 ($250)

Wear them just as you would a pair of desert boots. T-shirt and chinos are ideal. As are a polo and jeans or garment dyed 5-pockets. Made in Italy. Crepe sole.

PROOF 72 Hour Merino Polos – $57.80 ($98)

Just got put on sale for thirty bucks off AND now the extra 15% off drops. Not bad. But be warned that these have “self fabric” collars without much structure. So while super comfortable and wearable for 72 hours straight without picking up stink or feeling gross (thus the magic of merino wool…) the collars can be a little… limp. That won’t work well if you’re planning on wearing one under a blazer or sportcoat. But on its own with a pair of performance chinos and chukkas for a trip? Absolutely. Also know that these tend to run a touch slim. My 5’10″/185 has to size up from a medium to a large for these shirts, but it then fits perfectly after the first machine wash cold/tumble dry low.

Rhodes Tyler Chukkas – $132.60 ($198)

A steal. Full Review here. Really, really good. They’ve been pegged to full price for the longest time in the versatile “taupe” suede seen above. Nice to see them getting a double dip of sale pricing with “chinos chukkas polo” season on the horizon.

Relwen Quilted Insulated Tanker Jacket – $229.50 ($318)

Pretty uncompromising. Nylon/cotton shell kicks that cheap “sheen” seen on other quilted jackets to the curb. Peached finish gives it that perfect look and feel. Pockets. So many pockets. And the interior is anything but forgotten. Ships and returns free. That gray in the upper left had been excluded from the sale pricing if memory serves. No longer, and the extra 15% off helps of course.

Flint and Tinder 365 Cords – $45.05 ($118)

As cheap as any of the 365 line of 5-pockets will get. Color shown above is “earth,” which is also the only color that has any real size selection left.

Made in the U.K. Sanders “Clive” Loafers – $199.75 ($314)

You know it’s a British made loafer if they’ve put a rubber studded sole on the bottom. Same company that makes the famed hi-top chukkas.

Barbour Corbridge Wax Jacket – $229.50 ($450)

Not quite Bond’s waxed jacket from Skyfall, but we’re headed solidly in that direction.

Rhodes Owen Moc Toe Boot in Aspen – $113.90 ($238)

For those of us who love the idea of a pair of Milkshake Suede Alden Indy Boots, but in no world/universe/or pipe dream be spending $675(!!!) to acquire such things.

Flint & Tinder Quilted Waxed Vest – $129.20 ($218)

Sleeve free is often the way to be in this weird period of very-late winter/early spring. That and this waxed and quilted version won’t make you look like a wayward finance bro.

Made in the USA Work Chukkas in Briar Oil Slick – $246.50 ($300)

For those who want something a bit “more” than an unstructured desert boot style of chukka, but don’t want a big clunky work boot either. These are right in between. Made in the USA too.

PROOF Moonweight Hooded Puffer Jacket – $75.65 ($198)

PROOF Moonweight Hooded Puffer Jacket

More quilting, less cost, no wax (does have a water-resistant DWR coating though). While much of Huckberry’s catalog leans towards the “heritage” side in terms of style (nothing wrong with that), their in-house PROOF line seems to be a bit more modern. And reasonably affordable.

Made in Italy Astorflex Nimflex Moc-Toe Chukka Boot  – $151.30 ($210)

Soft everything. Soft suede, soft construction. Two crepe sole options (not great for winter) and a rubber studded option (surprisingly an option).

Relwen Windzip Jacket in Charcoal – $192.95 ($268)

One of their bestsellers. Stretchy, breathable, water resistant, and lightweight. Perfect on its own for transitional weather, and should do great under a heavier coat or jacket for layer-worthy cold snaps.

Schott Cotton/Nylon/Yak Wool Motif Blend Cardigan – $120.70 ($190)

Because it’s still shawl collar cardigan season. Mostly cotton and nylon with a bit of yak wool thrown in. Vintage looking without actually being something found at an estate sale.

Made in the USA 45 Supima Polos – $43.35 ($68)

Made in the USA 45 Supima Polos

More Supima-cotton goodness from Huckberry’s “45” brand. Suuuper soft 100% Supima cotton, jersey knit fabric. Garment-dye gives it a worn in (but not worn out) look. Preshrunk. Collar is nice but not really all that structured. So combined with the garment-dye look and feel to the fabric, it leans more casual polo. Would still look good with chinos and some unstructured suede loafers. Fit is more of a straight than a slim fit, but it’s not enormous or boxy. Here’s how a medium looks on 5’10″/185.

Taylor Stitch The Miller Insulated Shirt Jacket – $110.50 – $129.20 ($218)

Also shown at the very top of the post. Currently going for $130 over at Taylor Stitch AND it’s final sale over there. Free shipping and returns through Huckberry. Not bad at all.

Made in the USA Flint and Tinder American Selvedge Denim – $108.80 ($198)

American made, straight fit, NON stretch rinse wash jeans. As classic as it gets. Sanforized and pre-washed to minimize shrinkage and maximize comfort. Not a massive range in terms of sizes, but that’s not unusual for a pair of jeans like this, as they aren’t really made to cover the entire market.

Flint and Tinder Quilted Waxed Shirt Jacket in Grey with Green Lining – $146.20 ($288)

Not quite sure why the grey with green lining is significantly cheaper than the brown with orange lining option, but… we’ll take it!

PROOF PowerFill Down Vest in Stone Black – $106.25 ($228)

Lightweight, warm, and has a DWR coating to keep precipitation from soaking in. A well executed, foundational layer.

Flint and Tinder Aran Cable Knit Cardigan Sweater – $171 ($228)

Just mediums and a couple XLs left at post time. Again, it’s a true way-end-of-season clearance. Chunky traditional Aran Cable style knit. 60% lambswool, 40% nylon. Lighthouse-keeper worthy.

Greys Outdoor Slipper Boots – $45.90 ($108)

Greys Outdoor Slipper Boots

Won’t get cheaper than that. That’s as low a price as I think these have ever gone for. Full review from our shoe expert Adam can be found here.

PROOF 72 Hour Tees – $54.60 w/ merino30 ($78 $88)

Technically not part of the sale section, so no additional 15% off… BUT that 30% off code merino30 is still working at post time AND they just recently dropped the regular price by ten bucks.

So certainly worth another mention.

Note that these are a true slim fit. My 5’10″/185lbs has to size up to a size large, which fits perfect after a wash and dry. Code seems to be working just on the slim “performance” fit.

These are the tees that you can wear for three days straight while on the road (or anywhere else) without them picking up funk, stink, or feeling gross. That’s the magic of merino wool, as it’s naturally anti-microbial, wicks, breathes, and regulates temperature. If you’ve got a trip planned and want to pack light then now’s a good time to consider one or two of these. Code merino30 is scheduled to run through the end of March.

The extra 15% off sale items deal at Huckberry is set to expire Wednesday 3/13. So it’s a relatively quick one. And as it’s an end-of-season clearance, sizes might move pretty quick. If we missed something from that big pile of sale, goods, send an email to joe@dappered.com

Huckberry: Up to 45% off Annual Winter Sale (exp 2/11)

And last week thee omnipotent Groundhog spoketh:

An early spring? Yeah. That sounds good.
Catch me outside. How ’bout that.

And thus, Huckberry needs to hustle quite a bit of their stock out the door. That’s where their annual winter sale comes in.

Unlike a lot of winter clearance events, the vast majority of Huckberry’s sale section is not final sale yet (with some exceptions, do watch out for those). And while free shipping won’t kick in until $98, returns are at least free. So you won’t get dinged sending something back (although any outbound shipping on purchases under $98 are non-refundable). Ready? Let’s get on with the picks.

Relwen Windzip Jacket in Charcoal – $187 ($268)

One of their bestsellers. Stretchy, breathable, water resistant, and lightweight. Perfect on its own for transitional weather, and should do great under a heavier coat or jacket for layer-worthy coldest snaps.

Rhodes Tyler Chukkas – $156 ($198)

Full Review here. Really, really good. They’ve been pegged to full price for the longest time in the versatile “taupe” suede seen above. Nice to see them getting a solid price cut as we head into prime “chinos chukkas polo” season, although with that truly all-weather sole, you can absolutely wear these now. I have a pair of Rhodes Caliber Chelseas with the exact same sole, and I wear them all winter. Also on sale in “hickory” leather, as shown at the very top of the post.

Taylor Stitch Moleskin Sportcoat – $229 ($328)

Moleskin = a cotton fabric that’s a bit like suede. It’s super soft, has a short “nap,” but made from cotton. Just half lined in the back in bemberg, not cheap polyester. Could become a new cool to cold weather favorite.

Relwen Quilted Insulated Tanker Jacket – $222 ($318)

Almost $100 off. Nice. Pretty uncompromising. Nylon/cotton shell kicks that cheap “sheen” seen on other quilted jackets to the curb. Peached finish gives it that perfect look and feel. Pockets. So many pockets. And the interior is anything but forgotten. Ships and returns free. Also shown very top right of post.

DB Journey Hugger Backpack – $160 ($229)

DB Journey Hugger Backpack

Backpacks, from the future! At least that’s what they look like. Meets airline carry-on requirements. Dedicated padded 16” laptop compartment. Big main compartment that opens fully for easy access of whatever you’re hauling.

Flint and Tinder Speckled Merino Wool Sweater – $68 ($98)

A crewneck wardrobe workhorse. Olive (shown,) gray, navy, or oatmeal. Sizes are starting to get scattered.

Made in the USA WOOL Lined Waxed Truckers in Forest – $232 or Chocolate – $250 ($358)

Holy smokes some waxed truckers are actually on sale. In the wool lined version no less. They call this one the “winterized” version as it’s wool lined, but wool breathes. So while yes, it’ll be “Extra Toasty.” It also shouldn’t be suffocating. Wouldn’t wear it when it feels like spring out, but, y’know. It’s not an arctic expedition parka either.

Made in the USA “45” Supima T-Shirts – $31 ($42)

Made in the USA “45” Supima T-Shirts

10 colors to choose from. Size shown above is a medium on Joe who is 5’10″/185. And as you can see, they have a bit of the “vintagey” collar thing going on. Some guys are good with that/like the way it looks. Some of us don’t like it. Made in the USA is tough to do these days. Tough enough that it looks like these Supima options are now the “only” USA made 45 tees left. The slubs have moved production to Peru. But not the Supimas. Supima tees are still made in the states.

Flint and Tinder 365 Cords in Moss Green – $47 or Charcoal Gray – $70 ($118)

Clearance time means on-sale cords. And like any true clearance, the price varies depending on what color you’re after. They have other shades like earth brown, winter white, and a rich navy as well. But prices are super all over the place (read: higher.)

Made in the USA Danner Light Boots – $286 ($440)

Made in the USA Danner Light Boots

Rich suede uppers, waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX liner, recraftable construction, and comes with a 365 day warranty. Sizing notes are worth reading: The Danner Light Boot tends to run a little long, we recommend sizing down a half size for the best fit. The style’s EE width is designed to fit an average-width foot, similar to a D width.

Flint and Tinder Quilted Waxed Shirt Jacket – $172 ($288)

Flint and Tinder Quilted Waxed Shirt Jacket

British Millerain waxed canvas. Not made in the USA like their famous waxed trucker, but still looks great from here. Also available in grey with a green lining, as well as a dark forest green with what looks like an olive lining.

Made in the USA 45 Supima Polos – $51 ($68)

Saucony Grid Shadow 2 Sneaker – $98 ($130)

Those are trippy. Dad-sneakers with a wavey “just licked a toad” thing going on.

PROOF Moonweight Hooded Puffer Jacket – $89 – $118 ($198)

PROOF Moonweight Hooded Puffer Jacket

More quilting, less cost, no wax (does have a water-resistant DWR coating though). While much of Huckberry’s catalog leans towards the “heritage” side in terms of style (nothing wrong with that), their in-house PROOF line seems to be a bit more modern. And reasonably affordable.

Made in Italy Astorflex Nimflex Moc-Toe Chukka Boot  – $147 ($210)

Soft everything. Soft suede, soft construction. Two crepe sole options (not great for winter) and a rubber studded option (surprisingly an option).

Huckberry Made in Japan Acrylic, Wool, Nylon, Spandex Beanie – $15 ($30)

Huckberry Made in Japan Acrylic, Wool, Nylon, Spandex Beanie

Still half off, and one of those items that would make a great free-shipping-threshold ($98) tripper. Japanese fabric is just the right weight. It also feels good and strong. Sometimes beanies can look good but then slouch and/or shrink. Not these things. Price is nice and affordable too. 8 colors to pick from. These are workhorses. Not too bulky, not itchy, not paper thin. Just right. Fifteen bucks is, frankly, great.

Rhodes Moc Toe Boots in (light) Aspen – $193 or (brown) Umber – $223 ($298)

Rhodes Moc Toe Boots

For those of us who love the idea of a pair of Milkshake Suede Alden Indy Boots, but no way in Hades will be spending $700(!!!) to acquire such things. Because… c’mon. Thus, enter the Huckberry house brand Rhodes, and their excellent line of Made in Leon Mexico boots. Sidenote: the dark brown suede option looks equally as handsome, and will be 100x more versatile.

Hestra Utsjo Gloves in Elk Leather – $132 ($165)

Hestra Utsjo Gloves in Elk Leather

SPENDY. But Hestra really does make great gloves. Seen in action right here. Free shipping and free returns through Huckberry too. Which is good. Because gloves have to fit. Check that size chart. Insulated with Primaloft. Certainly not a ski glove, but warmer than an unlined driver or something similar.

Flint & Tinder Quilted Waxed Vest – $109 – $119 ($218)

Flint & Tinder Quilted Waxed Vest

This sale feels like it’s “Quilted everything. Waxed everywhere.” …wait, what? Anyway… this time, sleeve-free.

Greys Outdoor Slipper Boots – $54 ($108)

Greys Outdoor Slipper Boots

As low a price as I think these have ever gone for. Full review from our shoe expert Adam can be found here. An incredible at home slipper/shoe/hybrid-thingy. A few different colors and even upper materials to pick from, but the OG gray wool version shown above is what most of us will want. And enjoy.

Barbour Classic Beaufort Wax Jacket – $255 ($425)

Barbour Classic Beaufort Wax Jacket

Nobody knows weird, wet weather like the Brits. Barbour has been making waxed outerwear for over a century to deal with just that.

All-Weather Waterproof Duckboots – $94 ($188)

All-Weather Waterproof Duckboots

Serious comfort. Classic but still modern looks. (How the heck did they do that?) Waterproof. Ready for the rest of winter as well as the mess that is late winter/early spring weather. Full review can be found here.

Onsen x Huckberry Hooded Waffle Robes – $99 ($195)

Onsen x Huckberry Hooded Waffle Robes

Spendy, but could become one of those favorites those who work their arses off look forward to putting on for the much deserved recovery and recharge time. Made from 100% USA grown extra long staple Supima cotton, and made by the same brand that makes those bestselling waffle bath towels.

Huckberry Weekenders Sunglasses – $17 FINAL ($39)

Huckberry Weekenders Sunglasses

Another “free shipping threshold-tripper.” No returns or exchanges here though. They’re final sale. “Slate cola” is shown above.

Flint and Tinder “The General” Brushed Poly/Wool Blend Shirt Jacket – $128 ($198)

Flint and Tinder “The General” Brushed Poly/Wool Blend Shirt Jacket

Check out that texture. 73% polyester, 23% wool, 3% nylon, 1% acrylic

Whiskey Peaks Glassware: EXTRA 20% off w/ whiskey20

Whiskey Peaks Glassware

Nice to see something on sale getting an additional little bit taken off with a code. Wouldn’t be a Huckberry sale without these, right? Lead free, hand blown glass decanters and rocks glasses with raised topographic impressions of some of the world’s most famous geological wonders. Makes a terrific gift, especially when combined with a bottle of something top shelf.

Flint and Tinder Special Edition Waxed Hudson Jacket in Black Watch – $278 ($398)

British Millerain wax canvas. Corduroy lined collar, cuffs, and trim. 100% cotton flannel lining. Wool undercollar. And these things even come with a “period-correct” rear game pocket lined in corduroy. Straight fit for ease of movement. A necessary heads up for any newbies: unlike their waxed truckers, these aren’t made in the USA. Ships and returns for free though.

Sanders Hi Top Chukka Boot in Dirty Buck Suede – $162 ($250)

Just size 10 and 11 left at post time (maybe they’re returns from the holidays?) but don’t expect them to last.

PROOF 72 Hour Merino Blend Tees – $61.60 w/ merino30 ($88)

PROOF 72 Hour Merino Blend Tees

Technically not part of the sale, but that 30% off code merino30 is still working at post time.

They rarely go on sale. Especially at 30% off. No word on when this merino30 code ends.

The up to 45% off Annual Winter Sale at Huckberry is set to expire this Sunday. So it’s a quick one. Not sure what if any products go back to full price then. If we missed something from that big pile of sale, goods, send an email to joe@dappered.com

Huckberry: 15% off Almost Everything Annual Sale https://dappered.com/2023/11/huckberry-15-off-almost-everything-2-day-sale-2023/ Tue, 14 Nov 2023 23:10:59 +0000 https://dappereddev.wpenginepowered.com/?p=249660 Heads up: Buying via our links results in us getting a commission (not always, but just about), which helps keep the lights on around here. Huckberry 15% off Almost Everything (ends Thurs.)

For years now, Huckberry has been a source for hard-working, high performing gear that also looks really really good.

That said, some of their newer arrivals are beyond bizarrely expensive. And… strange.

We’ll be keeping it normal with the picks below. Because while Huckberry isn’t cheap, they still carry plenty of stuff that looks great, feels great, and performs for a price many of us may nod-in-agreement at. Especially their in-house brands like PROOF and Flint and Tinder, as well as any USA Made gear they have on hand. And this 15% off (almost) sitewide sale happens only once a year.

Note that they do usually run some cyber week specials for Black Friday. Who knows what will be in that batch next week. They might not even know yet, until they see how this 15% off annual sale goes.

Got all that? Let’s get on with the picks. Exclusions apply of course. We’ve done our best to dodge those.

Made in the USA Flint & Tinder Waxed Trucker Jacket – $253.30 ($298)

Full review can be found here. They’re the most popular thing Huckberry carries. And again, they’re made here in the United States. Available in regular or tall sizes. And they’re even making a women’s version these days.

Proof 72-Hour Merino Short Sleeve Henley – $83.30 ($98) or Long Sleeve Henley – $108.80 ($128)

Available in multiple blues, grays, olive, black, etc. Here’s why these are actually worth the price… Made from an odor-resistant and wicking merino wool blend which is also machine washable (and machine dryable as long as you can tumble dry low/keep an eye on it…) these henelys can go for three days of straight wear without starting to smell funky or feel gross. That’s why they were a must-add in our “what to pack when traveling light and in style” advice post. So they’re really three shirts in one. 72-hour henleys > the 72-hour tees or polos. Why? The collars. The black snap buttons are cool, and the collars feel and lay better than either the tees or (floppy) polos. Get the henleys. And know that they fit trim. A size large fits my 5’10″/185lbs perfect, whereas a medium is too small.

Huckberry Made in Japan Acrylic, Wool, Nylon, Spandex Beanie – $25.50 ($30)

Huckberry wool hoodies

Flat out terrific. Japanese fabric is just the right weight, and feels good and strong. Sometimes beanies can look good but then slouch and/or shrink. Not these things. Price is nice and affordable too. 11 colors to pick from.

Flint & Tinder 365 Pants in Slim, Straight, or Tapered Fit – $83.30 ($98)

Flint & Tinder 365 Pants

Head here for a full review and to see how slim, tapered, and straight fits compare side by side. 13 colors to choose from. $84 doesn’t make for a cheap pair of pants, but Huckberry has sold shed-loads of these things.

Flint and Tinder 365 Corduroy Pants in Slim, Straight, or Tapered – $70.55 ($98)

Flint and Tinder 365 Corduroy Pants

The corduroy version of the 365s. For those who want that classic, soft, fall fabric ensconcing their gams for the next few months. It’s worth noting that when these debuted a couple years back they were actually priced at $108. Nice to see them come down in price, and are even currently on sale.

Made in England Sanders Suede Hi Top Chukka Boots – $212.50 ($250)

Holy smokes these are included in the sale. Huckberry to the the rescue, with their with free (contiguous) US shipping at $98, and free returns. Because for the longest time you couldn’t get a pair of these made in the UK, super-comfortable, mega-versatile chukkas without taking a major risk with overseas shipping. Ordering direct through Sanders is great, but they go for around $270 (depending on exchange rate) direct through the brand… PLUS you’d be on the hook for international returns. Meaning if they show up, don’t work out, and you have to ship them back… you could be out-of-pocket to the tune of $80ish total in outbound and return shipping charges. No longer. Thank you Huckberry. And they’re on sale. Wow. Full review here.

Made in the USA “45” Supima T-Shirts – $26.35 ($42)

Made in the USA "45" Supima T-Shirt

Already on sale and getting the additional 15% off. Ten colors to choose from. Size shown above is a medium on Joe who is 5’10″/185. And as you can see, they have a bit of the “vintagy” collar thing going on. Some guys are good with that/like the way it looks. Some of us don’t like it. Made in the USA is tough to do these days.

Seiko SSC911 Prospex Speedtimer Solar Chronograph – $595 ($700)

For those looking to scratch a Newman-Rolex-look itch for a fraction of the price. Well made, solar-powered quartz movement, and that two toned tachymeter is pretty slick. Yes you can find them for a bit less through gray-market sellers… but then you’re almost certainly not getting a factory warranty.

Greys Outdoor Slipper Boots – $91.80 ($108)

Greys Outdoor Slipper Boots

Full review from our shoe expert Adam can be found here. An incredible at home slipper/shoe/hybrid-thingy. A few different colors and even upper materials to pick from, but the OG gray wool version shown above is what most of us will want. And enjoy.

Flint & Tinder Speckled Merino Wool Crewneck Sweater – $83.30 ($98)

A basic crewneck sweater that doesn’t look basic thanks to its speckled yarn. Lightweight enough to not weigh you down, which can’t be said of some other speckled wool sweaters as usually this look brings with it some chunk. Also sold in tall sizes, which is something those who are in possession of frames used to fetch mustard at Costco will be grateful for.

Taylor Stitch Moleskin Bomber in Copper – $168.30 ($198)

Taylor Stitch Moleskin Bomber in Copper

For those that like the idea and texture of a suede bomber, but aren’t the “leather jacket” (or suede jacket) type. Moleskin is a brushed cotton fabric that’s soft, has a matte texture, and feels perfect in cool and cold weather.

Rhodes Tyler Chukkas – $165.75 ($195)

Rhodes Tyler Chukkas

A favorite and rarely if ever on sale. Shot above is the Rhodes Tyler after 18 months of wear. See the long-term-test-review here. Not bad, right? Exceptionally comfortable. Substantial without being gunboats. Soles are inspired by workwear boots that cushion, and look pretty darn good.

Rhodes Blake Chelsea – $168.30 ($198)

Same “caliber collection,” different style. So I (the Joe guy) used to wear a pair of Red Wing weekender chelseas, then made the switch to these… and won’t be going back to Red Wing. Sorry R.W.  These “Caliber” collection boots are just too darn comfortable, and boy can they be beat to crud and come back for more. Soles are inspired by workwear boots that cushion, and look pretty darn good. Available in Hickory (upright above,) taupe suede (on its side, above,) or Mojave peach suede.

Relwen Windzip Jacket – $227.80 ($268)

Pretty uncompromising. Gets everything right so many down-puffers don’t. Nylon/spandex shell kicks that cheap “sheen” seen on other quilted jackets to the curb. Lightweight, water-resistant, stretchy, breathable, insulated. And the interior is anything but forgotten. Ships and returns free via Huckberry.

Whiskey Peaks Glassware

Whiskey Peaks Glassware

A popular gift this time of year for obvious reasons. Lead free, hand blown glass decanters and rocks glasses with raised topographic impressions of some of the world’s most famous geological wonders. Buy a bottle of something top shelf, gift with something from Whiskey Peaks, and it should make for a winning combination.

Huckberry Weekender Sunglasses – $33.15 ($39)

Huckberry Weekender Sunglasses

Cheap sunglasses that look and perform better than some junk you got on a convenience store spinner rack. Polarized lenses too. Perfect for winter time, since glare off snow can be irritating and then some. Sizing seems to be on the smaller side of medium. So if you’ve got a big noggin, these might be a pass. In person shot of the crystal frames is from our best sunglasses under $100 round up.

Hamilton American Classic Intra-Matic Automatic Watch – $760.75 ($895)

One of those watches that looks like you could have inherited it. Swiss made, automatic movement with a 50 hour power reserve. The title of the product says “42mm” but the description says 38mm… which seems much more of the style they’re clearly going for here. Pretty sure it’s 38mm, as here’s what appears to be the very same watch over at Hamilton direct.

Made in the USA Red Wing 6-Inch Classic Moc Toe Boot – $272 ($320)

Red Wing’s original moc toe boots in a very, very handsome dark “black cherry” leather. Now under $275 thanks to the 15% off sale.

Made in the USA Flint and Tinder 365 Belt – $72.25 ($85)

Full review here. Available in dark brown, chestnut, tan, or black. They’re what you’d expect. Meaning: nice leather, versatile good looks (casual to smart casual use), and should last and last. The more affordable alternative would of course be the L.L. Bean USA made belt, but those only come in dark brown or black.

Seiko Prospex “Alpinist” SPB117 – $637.50 ($750)

A modern take on what was quite literally Seiko’s first (circa 1959) sports watch, but refined enough that it can easily be a smart casual or even dress watch here in 2023. Probably gonna sell out.

PROOF Rover Pants – $100.30 ($118)

PROOF (Huckberry) Rover Pants

  • Size Shown: 32×30 STRAIGHT fit on 5’10″/185
  • Fabric: 73% cotton, 25% Sorbtek, 2% lycra
  • Gusseted? YES!
  • Do they make a “Swish Swish” Noise: No. Absolutely not.
  • Extras: Slim or Straight fits. Seven colors with some not-the-norm shade options.

Made in the USA Victory Sportswear Speed Runner – $212.50 ($250)

Made in the USA Victory Sportswear Speed Runner

NOT cheap. Clearly not cheap. But made in the USA from premium materials and that nubby Vibram gum sole is terrific. Also, they can be resoled by the good people at Victory Sportswear once you need that to be done.

Flint and Tinder Quilted Waxed Shirt Jacket – $244.80 ($288)

Flint and Tinder Quilted Waxed Shirt Jacket

Dark and moody for a, shirt jacket. British Millerain waxed canvas. Not made in the USA like their waxed trucker. Available in grey, a dark forest green, or the brown with orange lining (which is pretty sweet) shown above.

Hestra Utsjo Gloves in Elk Leather – $140.25 ($165)

Hestra Utsjo Gloves in Elk Leather

SPENDY. But Hestra really does make great gloves. Seen in action right here. Free shipping and free returns through Huckberry too. Which is good. Because gloves have to fit. Check that size chart. Insulated with Primaloft. Certainly not a ski glove, but warmer than an unlined driver or something similar.

Made in Italy UNIMATIC UC2 Automatic Watch – $446.25 ($525)

Made in Italy UNIMATIC UC2 Automatic Watch

They don’t make them like they used to, unless it’s Unimatic. And then when you pick this thing up you think “I don’t know if they ever made watches like this.” It is SOLID. All caps. In bold. Feels like something Ron Swanson would appreciate, if he wasn’t already hand forging his own wristwatches in a waffle iron. Yet at 38.5 mm in diameter, it’s not some honking wrist-brick you would have seen on the likes of Arnie circa 2010. Assembled in Italy. Powered by Seiko’s NH35A automatic movement. Black matte dial. 300m water resistance. Double domed sapphire crystal. Easy to grip big crown. Super-LumiNova C3 pale green lume paint starts to reveal itself even in low-ish light conditions. This watch is equal parts minimalist as it is unique.

Huckberry All-Weather Duckboot II – $159.80 ($188)

Serious comfort. Classic but still modern looks. (How the heck did they do that?) Waterproof. Ready for all that fall and winter weather can throw at them. Full review can be found here.

PROOF Moonweight Shirt Jacket – $168.30 ($198)

Back for another year. Extraordinarily light in weight, but still insulated, thermal regulating, and water-resistant. Certainly not a beast of a wool peacoat or topcoat, but an extra in-between layer you may reach for time and again.

Asics Gel-Quantum 360 Sneaker in Dark Sepia/Greige –  $144.50 ($170)

Crunchy, earthy, and modern. While Nike and adidas battle it out for world dominance, asics just keeps on keepin’ on, making really comfortable athletic shoes.

Yamakazi (small) Console Table – $67.15 ($79)

Yamakazi is a Japanese brand that creates excellent, minimalist, small space designs. And this slim console table is a perfect example of just that. Mrs. Dappered and I have this, and as small-space dwellers ourselves, it makes for a great small book(s) & blue-tooth speaker shelf under a picture in our skinny home/shotgun shack. It’s useful, and it doesn’t get in the way. Dimensions are 31.69″ tall, 23.62″ wide, and just 7.28″ deep. Not quite sure why Huckberry has these as final sale. But, they are. No returns or exchanges. If you don’t want to take that risk, Amazon has them at not-final-sale but full price.

Flint and Tinder Flannel Lined Waxed Hudson Jacket – $295.80 ($348)

Flint and Tinder Flannel Lined Waxed Hudson Jacket

British Millerain waxed canvas exterior. Flannel lining from the UK’s Moon Mills. Corduroy trim. Pockets. Lots of pockets. A heck of a hunting style jacket for 21st century life, whether you live in the city or the country. Fit is more straight than slim. Made for layering/warmth. Full review here.

Assembled in the USA Shinola Monster Automatic Dive Watch – $1402.50 ($1650)

Money. Lots of money. But… assembled in Detroit. Swiss made, Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement. 300m water resistance. Sapphire crystal. Micro adjustable clasp for a precise fit. 12 o’clock marker is modeled after “the flag a boat flies when it has a diver down in the depths.” Trapezoid straight-up/60 min pip on the bezel is a nice alternative touch too, as is the “water drop” shaped lume blob on the seconds hand. This thing is the works. You’ll pay for it though, but at least now it’s 15% off.

Flint and Tinder Made in the USA 10-year Hoodies – $108.80 ($128)

Flint and Tinder Made in the USA 10-year Hoodies

For the buy-less-buy-better and/or USA Made = preferred crowd. They’re guaranteed for ten years by way of a “we’ll repair it” guarantee. Made out of premium, hard wearing materials (23 oz fleece from South Carolina, Zippers from Georgia, metal tipped drawcords, etc.) The 10-year hoodie is either something you’re all in on, or something you want nothing to do with. And that’s okay either way.

The 15% off Huckberry just about sitewide sale ends Thursday 11/16/23 at midnight PT.
