The Weekly 10 is our top 10 list of the best individual item style deals for men. Part recap, but you may also see something you haven’t caught yet. Got a style tip? Send those into joe@dappered.com. Now let’s start the count down…

#10. Bonobos Galloway Wool-Cashmere Blazer – $279.50 w/ BIGSALE50 ($475)

Via: Bonobos Extra 50% off Sale w/ BIGSALE50 (exp. 1/25)

Recently restocked in a few common sizes for the windowpane pattern shown above. Not cheap, nor should it be. 90% Virgin Wool, 8% Cashmere, 2% Elastane from Italy’s Tollegno mill. Ships/returns for free.

#9. J. Crew FACTORY Suede Boots – $59.40 FINAL w/ TAKE70 ($100ish)

Via: J. Crew FACTORY Extra 70% off Final Sale Clearance w/ TAKE70 (exp 1/27)

A reminder that these are from J. Crew’s step-down, more affordable FACTORY brand (just like BR Factory is to Banana Republic), and therefore the quality and materials won’t be quite the same as the mainline brand. But they can make some real hits, and these suede boots in particular feel like a (cheap) winner. Made in India, suede is surprisingly nice, and they’re lined in leather. Fit feels true leaning trim. My normally 10.5 D (but borderline wide if I’m being honest) feet felt good in these right out of the box, but a bit snug through the forefoot. There’s a very small amount of texture on the ball of the foot (you can barely make it out in the pic above), but overall the soles are pretty smooth. Be prepared to be extra careful on wet or smooth surfaces (like carpet) until they scuff up. Woulda made it higher up this list but these are final sale, so no returns or exchanges. And final sale shoes are always a huge risk.

#8. J. Crew FACTORY Straight Fit Cords – $30.60 FINAL w/ TAKE70 ($50ish)

Via: J. Crew FACTORY Extra 70% off Final Sale Clearance w/ TAKE70 (exp 1/27)

Another final sale pick from JCF’s extra 70% off event. Four colors, straight fit, five pocket style.

#7. Johnston & Murphy Pebbled Leather Briefcase – $169.97 ($299)

Via: Nordstrom Rack New Arrivals

Trusted brand, reasonable price, and while it may not last a lifetime, it should get you through the current no hire/no fire* upheaval we’re stuck in. Would excel in both smart casual AND more dressed up workplaces. Has all the things a professional case should: good looking material (pebbled leather), two top grab handles for daily use, and a detachable shoulder strap for when you’ve got to carry other stuff/are hoofing it through an airport. It’s not a messenger bag. It’s not a backpack. It’s a soft sided briefcase. That’s good.

(*”no fire” may be wishful thinking at this point.)

#6. J. Crew 100% Merino Wool V-Necks – $58.50 ($118)

Via: J. Crew: 50% off select Last Call Winter Styles (exp 1/26)

Mainline J. Crew. Not Factory. And for whatever reason, these didn’t get much discount-love this year. So it’s nice to see them dropping under $60. Navy, black, or gray. 100% Merino wool.

#5. J. Crew FACTORY Cotton-blend Field Jacket – $60 FINAL w/ TAKE70 ($298)

Via: J. Crew FACTORY Extra 70% off Final Sale Clearance w/ TAKE70 (exp 1/27)

A budget-Barbour-lookalike. Final sale. No returns or exchanges. That’s why it’s priced the way it is.

#4. Crown & Buckle Supreme NATOs – $27.20 – $32.30 w/ CROWN15 ($32 – $38)

(Strap shown above: Black & Gunmetal Supreme NATO)

Via: Crown & Buckle 15% off sitewide w/ CROWN15 (exp 1/25)

Crown & Buckle’s supreme NATO straps are a noticeable, big step above the competition. They’re soft but still substantial. The hardware is nothing short of excellent. The edges don’t cut into your skin or feel rough/unfinished. There are lots of colors & stripes to pick from. And they’re almost never on sale. 15% off ends Sunday.

#3. Bonobos Dark Navy Plaid Jetsetter Italian Wool Suit – $294 w/ BIGSALE50 ($725)

Via: Bonobos Extra 50% off Sale w/ BIGSALE50 (exp. 1/25)

Dark blue tonal plaid suits are hugely underrated. They’re conservative but still interesting. And this one nails the look perfectly. Ships and returns for free too. Sold as separates, so you pick the size of the jacket and pants independently of each other. Sizes are starting to get scattered when it comes to the trousers, otherwise this probably would have been #1.

#2. Timex 41mm Metropolitan Chronograph – $149.25 ($199)

Via: Nordstrom new items added to their sale section

Some of us are suckers for a sharp, dressy chronograph. At 41mm, it’s not small, but it’s not ginormous either. 11mm thick isn’t razor thin, but it’s decently svelte. Quick release strap means you can easily swap out the stock brown leather for black leather when called for. That and as it’s on sale via mainline Nordstrom, it ships and returns for free.

#1. J. Crew Factory Merino wool-blend quarter-zips – $28.79 FINAL ($50ish)

Via: J. Crew FACTORY Extra 70% off Final Sale Clearance w/ TAKE70 (exp 1/27)

The flame of the Half-zip/Quarter-zip viral trend may be burning low, but the functionality of this incredibly basic/norm-core style is eternal. So much digital ink has been spilled in the last few months over such a humble style of sweater. Anyway, pretty nice price. 50% merino/50% acrylic. Five colors. Lots of sizes. Final sale, no returns or exchanges.

Top 10 After-Xmas Sale Styles for Men https://dappered.com/2025/12/top-10-after-xmas-sale-styles-for-men/ Mon, 29 Dec 2025 15:57:43 +0000 https://dappered.com/?p=277696 Heads up: Buying via our links results in us getting a commission (not always, but just about), which helps keep the lights on around here. The Weekly 10 is our top 10 list of the best individual item style deals for men. Part recap, but you may also see something you haven’t caught yet. Got a style tip? Send those into joe@dappered.com. Now let’s start the count down…

#10. Nordstrom Wool Sportcoats – $239.95 – $279.25 ($399)

Via: Nordstrom: Half-Yearly Sale

Nordstrom’s house brand sportcoats are a quiet steal when they go on sale. Often made from nice, Italian sourced wool, the construction is good (butterfly lined!) and the fits are true. A 40R fits my normally 40R 5’10″/180 just about perfect, with no off-the-rack tailoring needed. If you’re not so lucky, you can always send it back for free, as this is mainline Nordstrom and everything (even sale items) ship and return for free.

#9. Timex Green Dial Heritage Chronograph 39mm – $209.99 ($299)

Via: 30% off select at Timex

Reverse panda, green dial, and the case diameter is under 40mm. That’s a lot of “on trend” details all at once. Might be on sale because it looks a little “too” green with the stock strap, but imagine it on an aftermarket black and gray striped strap, or even a brown or black leather rally style.

#8. Clark’s Desert Boots in Loden Green Suede – $95.99 ($150)

Via: Banana Republic Extra 20% off sale items, new styles added (exp 1/2)

Speaking of green. Rich, earthy, loden suede uppers. Leather lined. Natural crepe outsole… which truth be told isn’t great in wet or icy conditions as natural crepe can hydroplane. So best for drier climates in the now, or wearing around the house/on dry days/waiting until summer.

#7. adidas $100 gift card for $75

Maximum purchase of 2 discounted gift cards per gift card purchase transaction. That means a future purchase over $100 is effectively $25 off. If something is in that $75 – $100 range, then it’s $75, and you’ll leave a little gift-card credit on the table. $200 or over and it’s effectively $50 off, as you’ll apply both giftcards at checkout. Not a bad way to save some cash on styles that aren’t always on sale. Deal ends New Year’s Eve.

#6. J. Crew FACTORY Cotton-blend Field Jacket – $59.99 FINAL ($298)

Via: JCF Extra 70% off final sale clearance w/ TAKE70 (exp 12/29)

A budget-Barbour-lookalike. Final sale though. No returns or exchanges. That’s why it’s priced the way it is.

#5. LUCA Leather Terra Low Sneakers – $126 ($195)

Via: Huckberry: Up to 45% off Winter Clearance Event (exp 1/1)

Surprised to see them on sale for this deep of a discount, even if it’s not exactly prime white-sneaker season. Made in Portugal. The materials and overall design are really impressive. Full review of a different (not on sale) color scheme can be found here. That pebbled white leather upper, off white sole, and leather heel tab looks all kinds of right.

#4. Banana Republic Italian Wool Hopsack Jacket – $219.99 ($400)

Via: Banana Republic Extra 20% off sale items, new styles added (exp 1/2)

Hopsack wool so it has that little bit of texture, which means it can look good as a stand-alone sportcoat. Matching trousers are also available (and on double sale) in case you want to make a suit out of it. Be aware that the sleeve cuffs on these have historically had functioning “surgeon’s” cuff buttons, which are a real (expensive) pain to get tailored. Some tailors won’t even mess with those, as it can occasionally mean removing the sleeve from the shoulder to shorten the length. But as it’s not final sale (yet?) you can send it back if it doesn’t fit right on arrival.

#3. Citizen 41mm Promaster Automatic Black Dial Diver – $279.95 ($335ish)

Via: Amazon: Up to 40% off Winter Sale

Perhaps you got an Amazon gift card for the holidays? For the longest time only the blue, green, or yellow dial options seemed to be available here in the states, but now Amazon is selling and fulfilling the black/charcoal version. Automatic movement. 41mm diameter. Ratcheting micro on-the-fly diver extension. A bit thick at 13.7 mm, but it wears nicely for a tool watch. Weirdly, these won’t deliver until January 17 – February 5. That’s super weird, considering Amazon is at post time the shipper and seller.

#2. Bonobos Jetsetter Knit Blazers – $209.30 w/ FINALBOW ($375)

Via: Bonobos: Extra 30% off Sale items w/ FINALBOW (exp 1/4)

One of their bestsellers, not final sale yet (so they can be returned/exchanged), and while sizes are moving fast… there’s still a decent selection left at post time. A few different colors and patterns to choose from.

#1. Spier & Mackay Blake Stitched Dress Shoes – $156 ($208)

Via: Spier & Mackay: Up to 25% off select End of Year Sale (exp 1/4)

Blake stitched construction, subtle studded rubber sole for traction, sleek and dressy. Finding any decent pair of dress shoes in the mid $100s can be tough, let alone a pair with those kind of specs. Full review here of the brogue cap toes, albeit in dark brown. Remember, if it’s your first Suit/Sport Coat, Shoes, Dress / Casual Trousers, Outerwear, Knitwear, or Dress / Casual Shirt purchase with them, then your purchase ships and returns for free (see returns policy and USA tab here.) Sale runs through January 4th.

The Weekly 10 is our top 10 list of the best individual item style deals for men. Part recap, but you may also see something you haven’t caught yet. Got a style tip? Send those into joe@dappered.com. Now let’s start the count down…

#10. Brooks Brothers Knit Classic Fit Italian Wool Cotton Check Sport Coat – $376.74 ($598)

Via: Brooks Brothers: 37% off most for members (exp 10/15)

That’s 30% off for everyone and an additional 10% off that discounted price if you log in to your account (or create one) before you complete the transaction. Still not cheap. But really quite good for Brooks Brothers. Blazer is a swazer, and a really nice looking one at that. 50% Wool, 50% Cotton blend woven in Italy. Body & sleeve lining is 100% Cupro. Just butterfly lined in the back for extra comfort.

#9. Timex Waterbury Metropolitan Automatic 41mm – $223.20 w/ Autumn20 ($279)

Via: 20% off select at Timex w/ Autumn20 (exp 3am ET on 10/5)

21 jewel Miyota automatic movement, leather strap with deployant clasp, and smart looks. It’s certainly not a cheap Timex, but it does look like a watch which should cost a lot more.

#8. Amazon Essentials Shawl Collar Sweatshirt Cardigan – $19.92 ($23.97)

Via: Amazon Prime Big Deal Days Early Deals

This is for those who see the occasional reference to the $188 Spier & Mackay 100% merino wool chunky shawl collar and think “how much? yeah right.” Now is this Amazon version gonna be as nice as the Spier? No! Is it ~1/10th of the price? Yes. Yes it is. 56% Cotton, 44% Polyester sweatshirt material “fleece.” Two pockets up front. Cozy shawl collar. Under twenty bucks in either navy, black, or gray.

#7. BR Factory Cotton/Poly Mac Jacket – $99 ($220) 55% off

Via: BR Factory 40% off + addit. 25% off most (exp. 10/5)

A new arrival for the weather which comes with the change in season. Note that 55% off for BR Factory is fine, but if you’re patient you can usually catch a sale that’s 60% off or even a little bit more.

Size shown above is a medium on 5’10″/185. Infinitely more versatile than most other jackets. Dead simple, and that’s the point. Quiet, classy, timeless style doesn’t shout. And Mac style coats go with everything from jeans and sneakers to a full suit and tie. 66% cotton, 34% recycled polyester. Single vent in the rear. Made in India.

#6. TWO J. Crew Secret Wash Button Down Shirts = $97.60 total w/ SHOPFALL + members $20 off $100 deal (norm. $98 per)

Via: J. Crew: 40% off select w/ SHOPFALL + addit. $20 off $100 for members (exp 10/6)

Requires you to buy two, apply the SHOPFALL code, and also be logged in to check the extra $20 off $100+ box at checkout, but once you do all those things you end up with a couple of J. Crew’s long-time bestselling secret wash button downs for 50.21% off. Outbound shipping is free for their Passport rewards club members too. Returns are either free in store, or a $7.50 return label if you choose to ship them back.

#5. Nike Field Generals – $50 ($105)

Via: $50 for select Nike Field Generals at Finish Line

Yeah you gotta shell out an extra $9.99 for shipping if your total purchase is under $75. But even with the extra ten bucks that’s as low as they seem to have gone for, anywhere, since their debut. Clearly inspired by their bestselling Killshot heritage tennis style, these are the gridiron football version. And for some of us (my hand is raised,) they’re noticeably more comfortable than Killshots. Full review here.

#4. Q Timex 39mm Continental GMT Quartz – $151.20 w/ Autumn20 ($189)

Via: 20% off select at Timex w/ Autumn20 (exp 3am ET on 10/5)

Shown above on a 7.5″ wrist.

Usually the big “Q” is a dealbreaker as it can look clunky and weird on other dials, but this looks decent enough as it balances out the “smile” GMT cutout at 6 o’clock. Inexpensive, well proportioned 39mm case, GADA style, and the H-link bracelet is quite nice. Also, the movement doesn’t make the obnoxiously loud TICK some other Timex watches make. Won’t be everyone’s cup of Earl Grey, but if you’re looking for an affordable integrated bracelet sports watch which can also be dressed up, then this one is pretty darn good for $150 (thanks to the 20% off code.)

#3. Allen Edmonds Strand Oxfords – $299 ($450)

Via: Allen Edmonds Rediscover America Sale (exp 10/27)

Wasn’t expecting these to be under $300. Usually they’re more than that, even during AE’s two big sales. The Strand is the legendary, bit-of-flash dress shoe from Allen Edmonds. They’re often excluded from other sales, but the Rediscover America sale (and the Anniversary sale in the Spring) is usually when you get them for a bit off list price. Nice to see that’s holding true again this year. Almost $100 off. Available in Mahogany (shown above), Black, Dark Chili, or dark brown Espresso. Note that Nordstrom Rack still has the Espresso option on mega sale for $179.97. Limited sizes though. Just 10 and 10.5 left at post time at The Rack.

#2. Amazon Essentials Rinse Wash Jeans – $13.95 ($20ish)

Via: Amazon Prime Big Deal Days Early Deals

A 3 season staple. Ships fast and returns are easy for Amazon Prime members. Almost all cotton with just a bit of elastane. Can’t beat that price.

#1. J. Crew Made in Italy MacAlister Boots in English Leather – $98.80 w/ SHOPFALL + members $20 off $100 deal ($198)

Via: J. Crew: 40% off select w/ SHOPFALL + addit. $20 off $100 for members (exp 10/6)

Really, really surprised to see the additional $20 off for members applying on these. It’s two deals used at once. You have to be logged into your J. Crew account, and then make sure you check both the $20 off $100 box AND put in the SHOPFALL code at checkout. Those two deals stack, and knock the total under $100 before tax.

Haven’t seen them drop that low in good long while. Still made in Italy. A real favorite. English leather uppers, natural crepe rubber sole, unstructured and casual without looking sloppy. Something J. Crew has been making for years. Full review here.

The Weekly 10 is our top 10 list of the best individual item style deals for men. Part recap, but you may also see something you haven’t caught yet. Got a style tip? Send those into joe@dappered.com. Now let’s start the count down…

#10. J. Crew Sussex Quilted Jackets – $166.50 ($238)

Via: J. Crew Up to 50% off “Layers We Love” mini sale (exp 9/22)

Olive or navy. “Just” 30% off, but they’ve also just landed for another year and they’re an annual bestseller. And… hey waitaminute. That price seems…  How much were they last year? (*checks notes*)… $198 full price in 2024. This year, they’re $238.

#9. Citizen Sport 42mm Automatic – $339.11 ($675)

Via: Amazon

Not just another Sub clone. 42mm, two tone bezel, in-house (Miyota) Caliber 8200 movement, exhibition caseback, and a stainless steel H-link bracelet. A bit of an investment as it’s north of $300, but far, far from luxury price tag territory. Lots of character. Reliable brand. Ships/Sold by Amazon at post time.

#8. Banana Republic Italian Leather Nicklas 2.0 Sneakers – $72 ($120)

Via: Banana Republic 40% off most full-price (exp 9/21)

Their court-inspired classics. Italian leather uppers. Sale is scheduled to end Sunday.

#7. Old Navy Rotation Chinos – Buy One Get One Free ($49.99 for two)

Via: Old Navy Buy One Get One sale (exp 9/22)

If it’s buy-one at full price, get one “free”, that means they’re 50% off if you buy two pairs. And half off is as good as it gets for their bestselling, 98% cotton / 2% stretch, soft-washed twill chinos. Works out to $24.99 per pair. Multiple fits and colors to choose from. Because sometimes you just want/need a new pair of pants.

#6. Spier & Mackay Chunky Merino Wool Shawl Collar Cardigans – $188

Via: Spier & Mackay New Arrivals

“But they’re not on sale, how can they be a deal?” Because they just got restocked for Fall/Winter on Spier’s website, and they rarely (if ever?) go on sale in-season. That and just a couple years ago these things were $218. So yes, the price has gone down in recent times. Bottom line: They’re pretty terrific. Well worth the investment for many of us. Soft and squishy/chunky 100% merino wool. Super comfortable, but not oversized. See above. That’s a medium on 5’10″/185. Nine colors to choose from. They’re a bit of a legend, and for good reason.

#5. Nike Field General Suede in Light Army/Natural – $78.75 ($105)

Via: Nordstrom 25% off select

Via Nordstrom proper, which has Nike direct beat by a few bucks. As it’s Nordstrom (and not Nordstrom Rack) that also means they ship and return for free.

#4. J. Crew Unstructured Cotton-Linen Jackets – $71.69 FINAL ($298)

Via: Extra 70% off select J. Crew FINAL Sale styles w/ SHOPSALE (exp 9/22)

Hard to beat that price. Yes it’s final sale and yes it’s mostly out of season. Which is why it’s not at #1 on our Top 10 list. But it’s a best seller and more versatile than most think, as it does great with jeans in the fall. Available in cream, black, and the deep-water shade of blue seen above. If you want to make it a (summery warm weather) suit, they still have trousers.

#3. Allen Edmonds Dain Boots – $199.97 ($495)

Via: Nordstrom Rack New Arrivals

Just in time for boots season. Crafted in Port Washington Wisconsin. Leather and suede uppers. Plain toe. Via Nordstrom Rack, so outbound shipping is free, and returns are free if you can get it back to a physical Nordstrom or Nordstrom Rack store.

#2. Banana Republic Luxe Traveler Jeans in Slim – $72 ($120) or Straight Fit – $78 ($130)

When they’re on super sale like this, they’re the market’s best balance of price (not cheap but not triple digits) and nice quality/feel/significant stretch. Still an investment at almost eighty bucks, but worth it to a lot of us. Fabric blend is 64% cotton, 28% Tencel (lyocell), 6% elasterrell, 2% spandex. The end result is a soft and stretchy, ultra-comfortable pair of jeans. Slim or straight fits. (Historical side note: These are not the 2.0 they debuted last year (CHOO CHOO) which had more texture. I think we can now call the 2.0 the New Coke of BR’s denim line. They introduced it, they were good but not as great as the OG, and now they’re back to something very much like the OG.)

Pricing Note: Yes the slims cost less than the straight fit. Maybe it’s because the slims use a little less fabric, or maybe it’s because they still have slims in “pre-tariff” stock and the straights are what the slims will eventually rise to.

#1. Banana Republic Italian Wool Suit Separates = $408 ($680)

Via: Banana Republic 40% off most full-price (exp 9/21)

Because they’re great when 40% off. Italian wool fabrics, foundational colors, and they’re sold as separates so you can pick and choose the size of the jacket and trousers instead of getting stuck with a “nested” pair like more traditional off the rack suits.

The Weekly 10 is our top 10 list of the best individual item style deals for men. Part recap, but you may also see something you haven’t caught yet. Got a style tip? Send those into joe@dappered.com. Now let’s start the count down…

#10. Allen Edmonds Park Avenue “Verse” Oxfords – $262.49 ($495)

Via: Allen Edmonds: Extra 25% off Sale Items (exp 8/18)

A remixed version of the just mentioned Park Avenue. The new Allen Edmonds Verse collection takes their classics, and makes them a little lighter, brighter, and extra flexible. Less structured uppers for a slightly more relaxed feel. Latex rubber soles for flexibility. Goatskin linings. Goodyear split reverse welt construction. “Bone” suede is shown above, although it looks to be more of a “dirty buck” than eggshell/bone.

#9. J. Crew Traveler Wool Suit Separates – $487.20 w/ ADDTOBAG ($696)

Via: J. Crew: 30% off select w/ ADDTOBAG (exp 8/11)

A decent discount on wheelhouse Italian wool suit separates from J. Crew. The problem is that many sizes are pre-order and they aren’t expected until late August. Yet the suit we purchased for review has the jacket (but not the trousers) showing up at the Dap home offices by Monday. So YMMV of course. But if your sizes are in stock (or if you can wait) then these are worth a real look. Italian wrinkle resistant stretch-infused wool from Tollegno. Two versatile colors to pick from. Jackets are half-lined in the back for extra breathability.

#8. J. Crew Lake Shoes in Suede – $136.50 w/ ADDTOBAG ($195)

Via: J. Crew: 30% off select w/ ADDTOBAG (exp 8/11)

If to you, boat shoes are too preppy and drivers don’t have enough structure/support… try camp mocs. Or as J. Crew likes to call their version, “Lake shoes.” They’re summery, they slip on, and the neutral suede means they’ll go with just about everything. If memory serves these haven’t gone on sale much this season. So 30% off here in the height of slip-ons weather seems quite nice.

#7. Citizen Promaster Marine Automatic – $199.97 ($296)

Via: Nordstrom Rack New Arrivals

Team-green minds their own business. Now, that is a lot of green for one watch. And two hundred bucks is no small amount of money. But popping it off the green rubber strap and onto a black and gray striped NATO could look pretty awesome. Automatic movement too. ISO-certified, 41mm case, textured dial. Outbound shipping is free, but as it’s Nordstrom Rack a return label will cost you some coin.

#6. adidas Samba OGs – $80 w/ SCORE ($10)

Via: adidas 20% off rarely marked down styles w/ SCORE (exp 8/13)

Almost never on sale. Select colors only though. If you tap/click around on all of the color schemes, some will have the PROMO CODES WILL NOT WORK ON THIS PRODUCT message pop up. Others don’t have that. 20% off code SCORE obviously works only on the ones without that message. Shipping is free for club members as long as you log in.

#5. B.R. Factory Vegan Suede Bombers – $64 ($160)

Via: BR Factory 50% off + additional 20% off (exp 8/11)

Also shown in gray at the very top left of the post. Now, it’s a little early to be thinking about (vegan) suede bomber jackets, but a fall-lovin’ person can dream, can’t they? And as it’s a 60% off most sale at BRF, that means the price is truly good. Anything 50% off or more is good. 60% off or more is great.

#4. BR Factory Mac Jacket – $88 ($220)

Via: BR Factory 50% off + additional 20% off (exp 8/11)

Shown in Oxford Brown at the very top right of the post. Infinitely more versatile than the already mentioned vegan suede bomber, albeit not as eye catching. And that’s the point. Quiet, classy, timeless style doesn’t shout. And Mac Jackets go with everything from jeans and sneakers to a full suit and tie. 66% cotton, 34% recycled polyester.

#3. Allen Edmonds Factory 2nds Landon Boots – $172.97 (1sts = $495)

Via: Allen Edmonds Shoebank Extra 25% off Factory 2nds (exp 8/18)

Because boots season is approaching, and under $175 for some simple cap-toe boots crafted in Port Washington Wisconsin seems like a bit of a steal. That said, as they’re factory 2nds, they’ll have some sort of cosmetic blemish. Structurally they’ll be sound, but there’s gonna be a scratch or a wrinkle or something which destined them for the 2nds pile. And returns on on any Factory 2nds, as always, will set you back a steep $25 restocking fee.

#2. J. Crew English Leather MacAlister Desert Boots – $138.60 w/ ADDTOBAG ($198)

Via: J. Crew: 30% off select w/ ADDTOBAG (exp 8/11)

J. Crew’s MacAlister desert boots have been best sellers for what seems like at least a decade. Strangely enough they’re not offering them in suede this season. Which is really weird, as suede desert boots are as foundational as it gets. But the English Leather option is in stock and getting the 30% off. And that’s “something”, as they’ve been excluded a lot from other codes and promos this summer. Full review of those can be found here.

#1. Old Navy Rotation Chinos (98% Cotton / 2% Spandex) – $21.99 ($44.99)

Old Navy Rotation chinos on men in different colors

Via: Old Navy 50% off pants 48-hour event (exp 8/10)

Because sometimes you just want/need a new pair of pants. Old Navy’s flagship “Rotation” chinos are inexpensive cotton chinos (with a bit of stretch) made in a few different fits. Lots of colors. Half off is as good as it usually gets for these.

The Weekly 10 is our top 10 list of the best individual item style deals for men. Part recap, but you may also see something you haven’t caught yet. Got a style tip? Send those into joe@dappered.com. Now let’s start the count down…

#10. Brooks Brothers Super 130s Italian Wool Gingham Sport Coat – $299.99 ($698)

Via: Brooks Brothers: Extra 25% off Clearance Items

Sale’s on sale over at Brooks Brothers. Which is precisely when a lot of us Brooks Brothers Fans on a Budget tend to look at picking up one of their sportcoats. Because they’re really high value once they hit clearance and then an additional 25% off promo runs. That gray gingham sportcoat seems to be the bee’s knees. Patch pockets keep it casual but smart, the gray shade is muted enough to be versatile, and the Super 130s wool is from Italy’s Zignone mill. Almost $400 off compared to where it started back in May when it landed in our annual Summer Temptation post.

#9. White or Blue Rhone Commuter Performance Button Downs – $89.97 ($138)

Via: Nordstrom RACK New Arrivals

On sale via Nordstrom Rack. And as they’re over $89, outbound shipping is free. Look, they’re spendy as hell even with the markdown, but foundational colors like white and light blue almost never go on sale period (unless you bundle at Rhone and then if you buy 2 they’ll be 15% off). Works out to almost 35% off. Perfect for the dead of summer, and great for those who just value comfort in their smart-casual shirts. They’re stretchy, they wick moisture, and the hidden button down collar is a really nice feature. Returns will set you back a pre-paid label unless you can get your order over to a physical Nordstrom or Nordstrom Rack location.

#8. J. Crew Cotton-linen Chore Jacket – $79.49 FINAL w/ SHOPSALE ($198)

Via: J. Crew extra 50% off select final sale items w/ SHOPSALE

Inspired by traditional French chore jackets, these are a lightweight extra layer that looks just as good inside as it does outdoors. 56% cotton/44% linen. Unlined with a heritage/workwear “fit”. Wear it over a t-shirt, polo, or henley. Final sale. No returns or exchanges.

#7. J. Crew Ludlow Traveler (96% wool/4% elastane) Wool Suit Jacket + Matching Trousers$459 ($696) 34% off

Via: J. Crew Select Summer Suits on Sale

NOT final sale. A decent discount on wheelhouse Italian wool suit separates from J. Crew. The problem is that many sizes are pre-order and they aren’t expected until late August. That feels like tariff/supply chain disruption. But if your sizes are in stock (or if you can wait) then these are worth a real look. Italian wrinkle resistant stretch-infused wool from Tollegno. Two versatile colors to pick from. Jackets are half-lined in the back for extra breathability.

#6. BR 100% Cashmere Crewnecks – $76.99 ($150)

Via: Banana Republic Extra 30% off sale styles

BR’s cashmere is noticeably better than most. 12 Gauge knit, “good cashmere” standard, and six colors.

#5. J. Crew Ludlow Unstructured Suit Jackets in Irish Cotton-Linen Blend – $174.50 ($298) 16% off

Via: J. Crew Select Summer Suits on Sale

41% off. That’s big for J. Crew these days. From J. Crew’s “unsuit” line, these are unstructured and meant to be worn more casually than a traditional wool sportcoat or suit. Absolutely no lining in the back and no shoulder pads. Made to look, wear, and feel extra-breezy. Cotton/linen blend from Ireland’s Baird McNutt. Want to make it a full suit? The matching trousers are here.

#4. Nordstrom Henrik Trim Fit Italian Wool Blend Jacket – $149.62 ($399)

Via: Extra 25% off select clearance items at Nordstrom

Soft construction in a textured Italian wool blend: 93% wool, 6% nylon, 1% elastane. Seems like it’s a little more formal than a true “swazer”, but not so much so that you can’t throw it over a t-shirt or henley. Ships/returns for free. Extra 25% off ends Sunday.

#3. Rhone Commuter Pro Utility Jacket – $132.99 ($198)

Via: Nordstrom 2025 Anniversary Sale

It’s August. Which means it’s almost September. Which means autumn and outerwear of all kinds. These from performance-apparel brand Rhone are on sale, ship and return for free, and are NOT final sale since they’re part of Nordstrom’s big anniversary event. The style sure looks all kinds of right. A modern Harrington. Stretchy, 57% polyester, 43% elasterell-p fabric. Navy or Black.

#2. Nordstrom Tyson Low Top Sneakers – $59.99 ($89.95)

Via: Nordstrom 2025 Anniversary Sale

For sixty bucks they’re pretty darn good. Textured leather uppers, grey contrasting heel tab, Ortholite insoles. Fit seems true and there’s even enough wiggle room for my borderline wide 10.5 D feet to feel comfortable right out of the box. Gotta hand it to Norstrom. They sure know how to make a basic, affordable item which doesn’t look or feel overly basic. They also ship and return for free which is always a huge plus. Sizes are scattered at post time but stock is also coming and going (read: one day a size will be sold out, the next it’ll be in stock). Maybe Nordstrom is processing some returns here as their Anniversary sale comes to an end? Sale price ends Sunday.

#1. Any Swiss watch that hasn’t had its price jacked up yet

“Via”: Switzerland’s tariff rate rises to 39% starting 8/7

Because now that the deadline has passed and Switzerland’s new 39% tariff gets implemented next week (8/7), unless they somehow elbow their way to the front of the line to get a deal done, Swiss watches are, for now, probably all (effectively) on major “sale”.

#10. Spier & Mackay Hopsack Linen Blazer – $302.40 ($378)

Via: Spier & Mackay’s Canada Day Sale

You want an airy, breathable, summery sportcoat? There it be. 100% linen in an airflow encouraging hopsack weave. Just 1/4 butterfly lined in the back. Half canvas, unpadded shoulders, patch hip pockets.

#9. B.R. Made in Portugal Cap-Toe Oxfords – $151.99 ($250)

Via: Banana Republic: Extra 20% off Sale Items

Subtly grained leather uppers, a simple cap toe, and a rich cognac shade of brown. They “pop” but they don’t shout.

#8. Target Goodfellow Stretch-Chino Shorts – $14 ($20)

Via: Target: 30% off Shorts and Swim

Because the difference between “nice” chino shorts and cheap chino shorts can feel ridiculously minimal. Sometimes shorts are just shorts. And that’s great. Especially when they’re fourteen bucks.

#7. Orient Limited Edition 75th Anniv. Script-Logo Bambino V2 – $283.50 w/ FOURTH ($315)

Via: Orient 10% off w/ FOURTH

Old-school script logo, blue hands, and it comes with a quick release suede strap as well as an additional brown leather strap. One of their models you’re not gonna find on Amazon.

#6. LUCA Leather Terra Low Sneaker in Pebbled White/Off White – $156 ($195)

Via: Huckberry’s Sale Section

A splurge worthy pair of sneakers at a reasonable price considering the materials and quality. Made in Portugal. Full review of a different (not on sale) color scheme can be found here. That pebbled white leather upper, off white sole, and leather heel tab looks all kinds of right for summer.

#5. Banana Republic Factory Slim Summerweight Chino in Cream – $19.12 ($85)

Via: BR Factory: 50-70% Off Everything + Extra 25% Off

Perfect for when it’s hot as blazes but you can’t wear shorts. Good to wear with a blazer, dress shirt, and dress shoes, or dressing them down with sneakers and a tee.

#4. Factory 2nds Allen Edmonds 5th Ave. – $186.75 (1sts = $246.75)

Via: Extra 25% off Allen Edmonds Factory 2nds

Remember: If they show up and whatever cosmetic blemish which doomed them to the Factory 2nds pile is too much for your liking… then it’ll cost you a hefty $25 restocking fee when you send them back. So it’s a gamble. (Full explainer of the Factory 2nds buying process at Allen Edmonds can be found here in our review.) But under $190 for classic cap toes crafted in Port Washington Wisconsin is somethin’ else. If you don’t want to take the risk, 1st quality (ships & returns free) 5ths are currently $60 more.

#3. Billy Reid Ottoman Knit Sport Coats – $208.50 ($398)

Via: Billy Reid 30% off + Additional 25% off select Sale w/ EXTRA25

Unstructured all-cotton “swazers” (part blazer, part knit sweater) from the king of contemporary southern American style. Knit blazers as a whole are terrific. But some can feel cheap. These won’t be those, as Billy Reid’s styles are always made well from great materials.

#2. CARFIA Polarized Retro Classic Acetate Sunglasses – $26.25 ($39)

Via: Amazon’s Prime Day Early Deals

Sunglasses are one of those products that are getting hit hard by tariffs (ex: Sunski just raised prices), because if they’re not some high end designer name made in Italy, they’re probably made in China. And Carfia is very much made in China. They’re one of those brands on Amazon which anyone would wonder if they really are decent. They’re more than decent. They’re really good. Smooth acetate frames, polarized lenses, and they’re classy looking with no obnoxious branding. And while they did just raise their baseline price to $35 – $39 from the previous $29 – $35, these keyhole “retro classic” frames are on sale for a positively cheap price. Four different frame/lens color combos to pick from. Ships fast with Prime. No word on when the deal ends. 50.5mm lens diameter, but they honestly wear a little bigger than that. Not huge. Far from it. Probably best for average sized faces/heads.

#1. WP Standard The Woodward Briefcase – $261 ($348)

Via: WP Standard: 25% off sitewide

Very rarely on sale. Has permanent residence in our essentials shop. Hits all of the right points for a contemporary briefcase. Classy. Great leather. Not overly structured yet not too casual. Lifetime guarantee. Looks great in all situations. Full review here.

The Weekly 10 is our top 10 list of the best individual item style deals for men. Part recap, but you may also see something you haven’t caught yet. Got a style tip? Send those into joe@dappered.com. Now let’s start the count down…

#10. Huckberry Walden Non-Polarized Sunglasses – $85 ($99)

Via: Huckberry’s Sale Section

It’s getting harder to find a pair of good quality sunglasses for a price that doesn’t hit the stratosphere like luxury name-brands do. That’s where Walden, Huckberry’s house brand of upgraded quality shades tries to fit in. Classic shapes, cool colors, solid quality. And now getting a quiet (almost) 15% off. It is a bummer that with the discount the non-polarized options drop just below Huckberry’s free shipping threshold of $89. So if you’re buying only the sunglasses and don’t trip the free shipping, it’ll cost you another ~$5 in non-refundable outbound shipping costs. Returns are free, less any outbound shipping costs incurred.

#9. Spier Half-Canvas Wool Groomsmen Suits – $222.40 FINAL ($348)

Via: Spier & Mackay’s Canada Day Sale

Whoa now. Looks like Spier is clearing out their base Red-Label “Groomsman” line of suits. On sale and getting an additional 20% off at checkout thanks to Spier’s Canada Day sale. Good luck finding a 100% wool, half-canvas suit at this price anywhere else. The big problem is that they’re now final sale. Which means no returns or exchanges. Full review here if you want a fit perspective, but just know it’s a gamble since you can’t return or exchange it. Hell of a price though, especially if you already have a Red Label suit from Spier and want a 2nd one. Important shipping note: Spier sent out an email on Friday saying they’re seeing some shipping delays due to the tariffs/border hold ups.

#8. UNIQLO Airism Boxer Briefs – $9.90 ($15)

Via: UNQILO 4th of July Sale

Full disclosure: while these are a bestseller for UNIQLO and a favorite for some, they did not do super well during our Boxer Briefs rankings round-up. BUT! They’re cheap, they’re a breathable performance fabric, and here we are in the thick of swamp-arse weather. Best boxer briefs for bros on a tight budget? You bet.

#7. J. Crew Garment-dyed Field Jacket – $85.99 FINAL ($268)

Via: J. Crew Extra 60% off FINAL sale styles w/ EXTRA

Final sale though. No returns or exchanges. But they did just bump it up to an additional 60% off with that EXTRA code. These are J. Crew’s take on iconic military field jackets. Really well reviewed. Garment dyed. But what’s with the “sateen” mention? … “Sateen is a type of weave that has a smooth face and slightly textured interior. As with authentic military garments, we reversed the fabric so that the textured surface is on the exterior, further adding to the jacket’s character.” Ah. Got it. Makes sense.

#6. Halfday The Garment Duffel 45L w/ Toiletry Kit – $135 ($153)

Via: Bespoke Post Up to 50% off 4th of July Sale in their shop

Summer means weddings. Often out of town weddings. Which means a lot of us have to get a sportcoat or a full suit from point A to point B and try to minimize wrinkling in-transit. These sold-by-bespoke-post “Halfday” garment Duffels are one of those designs which unzips flat into a garment bag, and then you gently roll your suit/sportcoat up (around other stuff you’ve packed) and you’re on your way. Upon arrival, immediately hang up your suit (in a bathroom where steam from a shower can help release wrinkles picked up while traveling) and fingers crossed you’re good to go. On sale and they’re even including a toiletry kit.

#5. Allen Edmonds Liam Sneakers – $112.49 FINAL ($300)

Via: Allen Edmonds Extra 25% off Sale Section (no code needed)

Ships and returns for free. UPDATE: They just slapped a final sale tag on these. So no returns or exchanges. Not “crafted in Port Washington Wisconsin”, but instead from their “Imported” line. Still though. Allen Edmonds sneakers have impressed in the past, and these do that retro with the gum sole thing quite nicely. Materials look good too. Premium leather and suede uppers, leather lined, and a molded outsole. Design is based off vintage military trainers from the 1970s.

#4. Brooks Brothers: 3 Shirts for $199 ($66.33 per)

Via: Brooks Brothers 4th of July Sale

The Pick: 3 Ainsley Collar Non-Iron Supima Dress Shirts = $199 (norm. $128 per)

Attention Brooks Brothers shirt fans. Now’s a pretty great time to stock up. Sometimes when they run a bulk buy deal they force you to buy four shirts. Not this time. Three shirts is when the deal kicks in. Works out to 48% off on the non-irons shown above. Doesn’t have to be those particular shirts though. You can mix and match solids, patterns, sport shirts, etc.

#3. Huckberry Flint & Tinder 365 Pants – $98 (15% off 2 or more)

Via: 15% off when you buy 2 or more F&T 365 Pants, Shorts, and More

Full review here. A rare sale on a Huckberry bestseller. They’re not cheap, but they’ve sold zillions, have a 4.5/5 stars rating after 2500 reviews, and come in four fits and lots of colors. Also shown at the very top of the post. 15% off when you buy 2 or more would drop the price to $83.30 per pair. Also works on their 365 chinos (slash pockets up front, welt pockets in the rear). Big thanks to James S. for the tip!

#2. BR Factory Grey Mini-Houndstooth Linen-Cotton Suit – $156.80 ($490)

Via: BR Factory 43% – 70% off + additional 20% off just about everything

Seems like you could do a lot worse for a summery suit. Versatile mid leaning lighter gray color with a micro-houndstooth pattern. 55% linen, 43% cotton, 2% elastane spandex. So it’s a linen base with a healthy dose of cotton to hopefully keep some of the wrinkling down to a reasonable level. Jacket is unlined in the back, which is ideal for this sort of warm weather suit. Each piece should excel when worn with other stuff (jacket worn as a sportcoat, trousers worn with a polo or even a smart t-shirt).

#1. Spier & Mackay Blake Stitched Balmoral Cap Toes – $166.40 ($208)

Via: Spier & Mackay’s Canada Day Sale

From Spier’s excellent Blake Stitched line of full grain leather dress shoes. Timeless shape and cap toe. Subtle rubber studded sole for traction. And unlike the Groomsman suits, these are not final sale. They can be returned. Your first pair of shoes (or suit or sportcoat and a few other categories) ships and returns for freeImportant shipping note: Spier sent out an email on Friday saying they’re seeing some shipping delays due to the tariffs/border hold ups & their new strategy/logistics to reduce tariff costs.

BONUS  Old Navy Straight or Slim Fit Tech Hybrid 5-Pockets – $26.99 ($54.99)

Via: Old Navy 50% off activewear 48-hour event

Note: The shorts version are also half-off, and therefor down to $19.99

Full performance material. Not a cotton blend. They move great and feel great even in super hot weather. They’re the closest inexpensive alternative to lululemon’s ABC out there. But there are some key differences: There’s no gusseted undercarriage for ease of movement. The fabric feels just a touch lighter in weight (but not quite as lightweight as Target’s All in Motion golf pants). And they run a little longer in the legs than lululemon. Some may feel the need to flip up the cuffs or get them hemmed. There’s also no chino/trouser pocket layout option. Just 5-pocket styles (patch pockets on each cheek in the rear, scoops up front like a pair of Jeans). Here’s how a slim fit 32×32 looks on 5’10″/185, albeit in the (oddly) sold out khaki option.

The Weekly 10 is our top 10 list of the best individual item style deals for men. Part recap, but you may also see something you haven’t caught yet. Got a style tip? Send those into joe@dappered.com. Now let’s start the count down…

#10. Timex Deepwater Reef – $139 ($259)

Via: Jomashop

Well that’s cheap. And why’s that? Because it’s on sale at Jomashop, which is one of those gray-market sites which sells new goods but often without manufacturer’s warranties. They’re also a stickler for their return policy (don’t start cutting off tags or peeling off stickers). It’s just not as safe as ordering direct from the brand or through an authorized dealer like a department store. But wow, that’s a hell of a price on a heck of a watch. Full review here.

#9. Target Goodfellow 60% Cotton, 40% Poly Tees – $5.60 ($8)

Via: Target Up to 40% off Goodfellow & All in Motion Tees, Polos, Shorts, & more

Under. six. bucks. Nothing fancy here. Basic 60% cotton / 40% poly blend, jersey knit crewnecks. Made in the colors you’d expect.

#8. J. Crew MacAlister English Leather Desert Boots – $158.40 w/ FATHERSDAY ($198)

Via: J. Crew 20% off select w/ FATHERSDAY (exp 6/15)

Full review here. One of those items that has not surprisingly jumped in price at J. Crew. (They used to be $168 at full price not that long ago.) They’ve also been excluded from most codes and promos so far this season. But that could change on a dime. So while 20% off doesn’t seem like much, they’re great casual to smart casual boots and any kind of savings is appreciate in this particular environment. Unlined interiors, natural crepe rubber sole, uppers made from English leather with lots of visual appeal. Made in Italy. Or at least they have been for the last few years. Not sure if that’s changed, but doesn’t seem like it.

#7. Brooks Brothers Performance Series Blazer – $373.50 ($498)

Via: Brooks Brothers Father’s Day Sale (exp 6/17)

A versatile blue sportcoat with performance properties (quick dry, anti-microbial) in a silhouette that sure appears to be timeless instead of chopped. 25% off for their Father’s Day sale. Wear it with a t-shirt and jeans, a dress shirt and trousers, and everything in-between.

#6. Allen Edmonds Liam Sneakers – $149.98 ($300)

Via: Allen Edmonds Sale Section

Ships/returns for free. Not “crafted in Port Washington Wisconsin”, but instead from their “Imported” line. Still though. Allen Edmonds sneakers have impressed in the past, and these do that retro with the gum sole thing quite nicely. Materials look good too. Premium leather and suede uppers, leather lined, and a molded gum outsole. Design is based off vintage military trainers from the 1970s.

#5. Brooks Brothers: 40% off 3 shirts or polos

Via: Brooks Brothers Father’s Day Sale (exp 6/17)

The Pick: 3 Ainsley Collar Non-Iron Supima Dress Shirts = $230.40 ($384)

Yes you can mix and match polos as well as colors, patterns, collar styles, etc. Doesn’t have to be the solid non-irons shown above. Although there is a strong case for their versatility.

#4. Jack Erwin Water-Repellent Suede Chukkas – $198.40 ($248)

Via: Jack Erwin 20% off select Father’s Day Sale (exp 6/16)

Blake stitched in Portugal. Water-repellent suede uppers with a rubber sole for grip. Four colors, but the chocolate shown above is an obvious favorite.

#3. Spier 20% off Groomsmen suit line – $278.40 ($348)

Via: Quietly 20% off in cart at post time (proof here. no word on when this expires.)

AKA their “red label” base line/entry level suits, which aren’t quite as nice as their Core Line and above, but are still half canvas, made of nice wool, and come with easy to tailor non-functioning sleeve cuff buttons. Lots of colors. Under $300 for a half canvas all wool suit is pretty hard to find. Full review here if you’re interested.

Spier is back in the game. Instead of shipping stuff to those of us in the US across the Canadian border and the customer getting hammered with massive tariffs calculated on the retail price we the shopper paid, they’re now importing their goods into US ports and therefor the tariffs are calculated on what they paid their suppliers. That makes an enormous difference. No more extra tariff charge at checkout. Are they as affordable as they were pre trade-war? No. Are they a hell of a lot more affordable compared to a couple of weeks ago? Absolutely. Nice work outta the team at Spier.

#2. Target Goodfellow Chino Shorts – $12 ($20)

Via: Target Up to 40% off Goodfellow & All in Motion Tees, Polos, Shorts, & more

To a lot of guys… shorts are shorts, when it comes to the cotton/spandex chino variety. No need to spend tons of money on them. Target obliges that theory with these 98% cotton / 2% spandex chino shorts available in a couple different inseam options and the colors you’d expect.

#1. Seiko 5 40mm SRPE55 Automatic – $221.25 ($295)

Via: Macy’s 25% off select watches (exp 6/15)

Watches have been going on sale less and less as of late, so finding Seiko’s true go-anywhere / do-anything (GADA) watch at an authorized retailer for 25% off is good news. The SRPE55 is basically Seiko’s version of that luxury “crown” brand’s Explorer model. Sporty enough to be worn with a t-shirt and jeans, yet refined enough to be worn with a suit and tie when needed. Specs from the brand are 40mm in diameter and 11.5mm thick. Wears pleasantly mid-sized. Feels great, looks great, and for a price that’s ~3% of that previously mentioned luxury brand.

#10. UA Performance Tech 3″ Boxerjock – $10.78 w/ EXTRA40 ($20)

Via: Under Armour Extra 40% off all outlet w/ EXTRA40 (exp 6/9)

Life’s too short and summer’s too long to wear anything but wicking performance fabric underwear. Available in black, gray, or navy. Note that it’s $10.78 per pair. Not for a three-pack (if it was $10.78 for all three colors then this deal would have made it much closer to #1 on this top 10 countdown). Extremely well reviewed and currently going for ~$18 on Amazon.

#9. Allen Edmonds Merino Cool Dress Socks – $15 – $18 ($20-$24)

Via: Allen Edmonds select items Father’s Day Sale (exp 6/16)

FREE SHIPPING NOTE: They also just launched a free 2-day shipping “get it in time for Father’s Day” promo code: FREE2DAY …and it’s working on these socks at post time. Which is awesome, because normally shipping would be $10 for orders under $100.

Thin, true-dress socks, but they’re strong feeling thanks to being well made here in the USA from wicking, temperature regulating merino wool. So if you’re someone who hates pulling his socks up during the day, feel free to go with the over the calf versions. They’re still comfortable in the heat of summer thanks to that merino blend.

#8. Jack Victor Made in Canada Soft Construction Stretch Wool Suits – $499.97 ($898)

Via: Nordstrom Rack New Arrivals

No personal experience, but with suit prices rising rapidly, half a grand for a made in Canada 95% wool/5% spandex suit seems like as good a bet as any. Ships from Nordstrom Rack here in the states, so no tariffs at the border. Returns will set you back a pre-paid label unless you can get it over to a physical Nordstrom or Nordstrom Rack location. Taking a look at the “Dean” suit model on the Jack Victor site, the specs are encouraging. Standard 6″ “drop”. Meaning a 40R jacket would come with a 34 waist trouser, a 38R jacket would come with a 32 waist trouser, etc. Your tailor should be able to let in or take out the pant waist up to 1.5″

#7. Nordstrom Mercer Leather Belts – $16.97 – $18.97 ($49.50)

Via: Nordstrom Rack New Arrivals

Something to wear with one of those Jack Victor suits. Also on mega sale at Nordstrom Rack. they’re a basic dress belt that can also pull some smart-casual duty. Buckle is subdued and not some clunky thing. Sizes are starting to get scattered.

#6. Timex 39mm World Time Reissue – $149.25 w/ Sunny25 ($199)

Via: 25% off select at Timex w/ Sunny25 (exp. 6/15)

Super fun, sharply styled, and moderately sized. Quick release leather strap should make for an easy change out to a brown leather strap if you wear a brown belt/shoes more often than black, or if you want to throw it on a tropic rubber or NATO for the summer.

#5. Allen Edmonds Strands in Espresso Brown – $269.97 ($425)

Via: Nordstrom Rack New Arrivals

On sale at Nordy Rack. Outbound shipping is free. Returns will set you back a pre-paid label unless you can hoof them over to a physical Nordstrom Rack or Nordstrom location. First quality Strands in a versatile color. A brown that deep and rich will go with both blue suits and gray suits. Even darker gray suits. (General rule: the darker the brown of the shoes = the darker the gray clothes you can pair them with.)

#4. Bonobos Riviera Recycled Swim Trunks – $62.30 w/ DADSDAY ($89)

Via: Bonobos 30% off select w/ DADSDAY (exp 6/10)

Swimwear is worth investing in. Cheap swim trunks are more likely to fall apart or just flat out be uncomfortable as a long day of sun and sand and swimming wears on. Clearly, these ain’t cheapies. Speaking from personal experience here, the Bonobos Riviera swim trunks are smartly designed and built well. They utilize a more modern boxer-brief-style lining instead of the old school white mesh thing we grew up with. And that’ll be appreciated by many. 5″, 7″, and 9″ inseams available. Lots of patterns and colors to choose from. Looks like the 30% off code doesn’t work on trunks already on sale.

#3. Spier Blue or Gray Tropical Wool Suits – $358.40 ($448)

Via: Spier 20% off select (+ their new tariff strategy has significantly lowered prices from their post-de-minimis-expiration period)

Spier is back in the game. Instead of shipping stuff to those of us in the US across the border and the customer getting hammered with massive tariffs calculated on the retail price we the shopper paid, they’re now importing their goods into US ports and therefor the tariffs are calculated on what they paid their suppliers. That makes an enormous difference. Prices shown on the product pages are now what you pay. No more extra tariff charge at checkout.

Combine that new logistics strategy with a scattered 20% off items deal they’re running through 6/12, and the prices are back into the big time bang-for-the-buck range they’re famous for. Are they as affordable as they were pre trade-war? No. So much has gone up across so many stores and brands. But are they a hell of a lot more affordable compared to just a week or so ago? Absolutely. Nice work outta the team at Spier.

#1. Bonobos Solid Unconstructed Italian Hopsack Wool Blazers – $280 w/ DADSDAY ($400)

Obligatory mention whenever these go on sale. They’re are a favorite of many for year-round use and they’re especially great for summer. Made in slim, standard, or athletic fits. Barely-there construction with an airy, self-fabric (the hopsack stuff) butterfly-only lined back. Full review here. Size shown above is a 40R standard fit on 5’10″/185.
