Sales that deserve some attention heading into the weekend or a bit earlier. Five of the better sales are below, plus bonus sales if need be. Included are a few picks worth pointing out.

Spier & Mackay: 25% – 30% off select during their Winter Sale

Spier Handful 12926

That 25% or 30% off discount stacks on some of their already on sale stock too. ~$330ish is pretty great for a wheelhouse/super versatile gray suit in Vitale Barberis Canonico wool. Lots of sweaters, flannel trousers, and outerwear in this one too. There’s some final sale stuff in there though, so watch out for that. Because (say it with me,) anything tagged as final sale can’t be returned or exchanged.

Old Navy: 50% off almost everything

Old Navy Handful 12926

Pro Tip: Straying too far from tried and true classics at cheaper shops can land you in trouble. Everyone’s trying to keep up with trends (from luxury to bargain brands), so the cheaper/less margin wiggle you go, the riskier it can sometimes get. The extreme example is all of the drop-shipped gamified-app bought trash which flooded the US before the De Minimis Exemption was terminated.

But that ALSO means cheaper places with some pedigree like Old Navy can provide huge value for foundational items like chinos and button ups. Because as they say, you can get anything you want in business good, fast, and cheap… as long as you only pick 2 out of the 3. Sticking with classics eliminates the “fast” part of the equation in terms of production, as they’re not rushing a trend to market, and benchmark brands like Old Navy have good relationships with suppliers and years of experience. So yeah. Cheap pants & shirts may be boring, but they’re also a good bet.

Amazon: 41mm Citizen Promaster Restock – $237.50 ($300ish)

They’re back in black/charcoal, and on significant sale again. The catch is, even though Amazon is the shipper and seller, it takes a couple of weeks to arrive. Yes even for Prime members. Current estimated delivery date at post time is 2/6 – 2/11. Ordered one a little while back and while it did arrive in the predicted 2-3 week delivery window, I gotta admit it did feel (shamefully) odd waiting a couple weeks for an Amazon purchase. Lordy, remember the days of sending in your Kool-aid points and then waiting like 4 months for your totally LIMITED EDITION Hot Wheels to arrive from them? Long gone, those times. We’ve all been trained to be Veruca Salt. … Wait, who? VOLCANO GIRLS?! Right. That song was on the mix tape immediately following Jimmy’s Chicken Shack.

The watch? Yes, the watch is good:

  • 41mm diameter but oddly enough wears a hair smaller than that, even with the 22mm lugs.
  • Thickness is a beefy 13.7mm, but that’s not uncommon for a tool/dive watch.
  • Automatic movement, brushed 3-link bracelet, and a much appreciated on-the-fly micro extender.
  • Day & Date window at 3 o’clock. Screw down crown.
  • Crystal is mineral instead of sapphire, and while the bezel isn’t as tight and snappy as some may like, it certainly gets the job done well while looking retro/almost like the old Seiko 007’s bezel.
  • No quick-release bracelet or lug holes, so changing out the bracelet for a strap will require a spring-bar tool.

Overall, it’s a solid diver from a good brand, and when on sale like this it can feel a little like a “baby” Planet Ocean (before they hyper stylized the P.O. with their latest edition) for less than 3% of the current Omega’s asking price.

Huckberry: Annual Winter Sale

Huckberry Handful 12926

You probably knew about this already. Adding a few more picks above which didn’t make the original list.

GAP: 50% off + Extra 20% off select w/ ADDIT

GAP Tripod 12626

Ends Saturday night. Quietly one of the better sales out there right now. Sometimes it just doesn’t need to be complicated. That’s where GAP excels. Deal works out to 60% off MSRP, as that additional 20% comes off the half-off marked down price. That’s better than good for GAP. Works on their jeans as well as their khakis.

Huckberry: Annual “Best Deals of the Season” Winter Sale https://dappered.com/2026/01/huckberry-annual-best-deals-of-the-season-winter-sale/ Wed, 28 Jan 2026 12:14:27 +0000 https://dappered.com/?p=278560 Heads up: Buying via our links results in us getting a commission (not always, but just about), which helps keep the lights on around here. Huckberry: Up to 40% off Winter Sale

We’re now closer to March than we are to (last) Christmas. So despite the enormous storm which just tore up half the U.S., winter is, allegedly, gonna start winding down. At some point. Maybe.

Which is why Huckberry has launched their annual Winter Sale clearance event.

Free shipping kicks in at $98, but returns are at least easy and free minus any outbound shipping costs if you didn’t hit $98 OR if it’s one of the rare final sale items. Anything tagged as final sale can’t be returned or exchanged. Let’s dig in.

Relwen Sweatshirt Trap Blazers – $187 – $201 ($268)

Grey = $201. Navy or “Brown Loden” = $187. Relwen’s line of sporting-heritage inspired trap blazers are something of a legend. They take details like game pockets and tab throat closures, and combine those features with easy wearing modern construction and seasonal fabrics. These are their latest, made of a double faced, sweatshirt-like cotton jacquard. So it’s a “swazer” that should look great with everything from an OCBD to a t-shirt.

Made in England Sanders Suede Chukkas – $280 ($350)

From the same people who brought you the favored-by-movie-stars Hi Top Suede Chukka. Only these are a little dressier thanks to a more subtle (but still crepe) sole. Ships/returns for free. Sold in UK Sizes, so make sure you use the conversion chart.

USA Made Wool lined Waxed Truckers – $250 ($358)

Their flagship flannel lined (not wool lined) waxed truckers are still at full price, but the extra-toasty wool version is getting an extremely rare discount. Limited sizes/limited stock. These should move pretty fast.

Flint & Tinder Slim Fit Architect Shirt – $58 ($98)

A basic button down which isn’t boring. Donegal flecks. Overbuilt with details like reinforced elbow patches and a bi-swing construction in the back for additional shoulder movement. Four colors. Shown at the very top of the post in “Natural.”

LUCA Terra Slip On Chelsea Sneaker Boot – $168 – $180 ($225)

Extremely comfortable. Made in Portugal using Italian suede uppers and French Lactae Hevea rubber outsoles. They go with everything casual to smart casual, they’re modern without looking goofy, and they’re well made. Make sure to hit them with some good quality stain/water protector before taking them out on any major spins, and you’ll be good to go. Shown immediately above is the Canyon Brown suede option for $168. The lighter, “Desert” suede is shown at the very top of the post, and those are priced at $180.

Flint & Tinder Boiled Wool Chore Blazer – $148 – $173 ($248)

Proof that winter may, at some point in the not terribly distant future, come to a merciful end. These didn’t go on sale much if at all over the last few months. Because they don’t have to to sell well. Boiled wool is dense but still breathes and regulates temperature. Cut and style are a perfect meld of rugged and smart casual. Debuted a couple years back, and they’ve added colors since due to demand. Now one of their annual bestsellers.

72-Hour Merino Polo Shirts – $59.50 per IF you buy 2 ($70/$88)

L: Stone Black. R: None-more-Black, Black.

Currently $70 on sale, but drops to just under $60 per as the buy-two-save-15% deal stacks on that discounted price. Same merino-blend fabric as their excellent 72-hour t-shirts. They really are perfect for travel, or even every-day wear if you’re the type who doesn’t love how regular cotton tees and polos feel and hold onto sweat. These breathe, wick, and since they’re merino wool based, they’re naturally anti-microbial. You can wear one for three days straight without feeling or smelling gross. Only gripe is the collars don’t really have enough structure (or a button down style collar) for wearing with a blazer or sportcoat unless you button the top button.

Relwen Quilted Insulated Tanker Jackets – $222 – $238 ($318)

Pretty uncompromising. Nylon/cotton shell kicks that cheap “sheen” seen on other quilted jackets to the curb. Peached finish gives it that perfect look and feel. Pockets. So many pockets. And the interior is anything but forgotten. Ships and returns free.

Proof 72-Hour Merino Chino – $106 ($178)

Shown at the very top of the post in olive

Spendy but exceptional. Straight or Athletic Tapered fit. Perfect for travel, and can pass as a smart pair of trousers even with the (ridiculously convenient) welt phone pocket on the back right leg. Gusset for ease of movement. Fabric is a 47% Merino Wool, 33% Nylon, 14% Polyester, 6% Elastane blend that moves great, but does make a light “swish swish” sound. They’re still the pants you may want to be wearing for the zombie apocalypse, the next time you’re moving house, or a long travel day with a business meeting at the tail end of it. And for a fit perspective, know that a 32×32 straight fit works for my 5’10″/180 frame after a quick trip to the tailor for a 1″-1.5″ hemming on the legs. Those of similar height may be able to easily get away with a 30″ inseam. Ships/returns for free.

Flint and Tinder Corduroy Pants – $82 ($118)

‘Tis the season to put seasonal pants on sale. Straight or Athletic Tapered fits. Whiskey brown, washed black, taupe, or dusty moss.

Made in Portugal Wills Garment Dyed Stretch-Cotton Blazer – $102 ($228)

Was hovering in the $140ish – $180ish sale range. Now just a nudge over $100. Ships/returns for free. More basic than the Wellen Trap Blazers. Which is great if you’re not looking for something that straddles the line between heritage-sporting and modern sportcoat. Just want a more casual leaning, cotton (97% cotton/3% spandex) blazer? Then this one is worth a shot. Unlined back. Patch pockets. Reviews seem to indicated it might have some wonk to the fit, but taking it to a tailor may solve that.

USA Made Danner Bull Run Lux Chelseas – $187 or Moc Toe Boots – $202 ($250 – $270)

From the “lux” Huckberry collaboration. Oiled suede uppers, wedge soles, and a debossed Huck tree on the ankle.

Flint & Tinder York Quilted Waxed Jacket – $178 ($298)

Four colors. The brilliant midpoint between a waxed jacket and a quilted jacket. Gray, Dark Navy, Olive, or Brown.

Charcoal/Black GREYS Wool Outdoor Slipper Boots – $59 ($108)

$49 off? That’ll do. Perfect house shoes that are plenty substantial enough to handle quick trips to take the garbage out, get the dog in, etc.

Made in the UK Peregrine Merino Wool Cardigan – $184 ($264)

A serious splurge, but no one knows dreary weather (and the house-sweaters to be worn during long stretches of such) like the Brits. Shawl collar. Merino wool. Good size selection left at post time, but if they have limited stock, then these could go fast.

The James Brand Martindale Money clip – $96 ($129)

Perhaps an end-of-January reward for sticking to your New Year’s Financial/Budgeting Resolution?

“You’re suggesting spending money on an impulse buy as a way to stay disciplined with spending?”

Right. Good point. Rad money clip, tho.

USA Made F&T Flannel-Lined Denim Trucker Jacket – $208 ($298)

Like their waxed truckers, these denim jackets are cut and sewn in the U.S., have a toasty flannel lining, and should break in over time too.

Proof ARC Pants – $69 ($138)

Huge fan of Huckberry’s house brand, Proof. They make technical, capable gear which is both smartly designed and smarter looking than their granola-munching competitors. These pants are made from a micro canvas fabric tough enough for the outdoors, but doesn’t look out of place dressed up a touch. Articulated knees, diamond gusset inseam, and a discreet drop pocket on the right back leg (perfect for your phone.)

Relwen Windzip Jackets – $187 ($268)

Another bestseller from Relwen. Less “field” than the Tanker, more casual-city-to-outdoorsy quilted. Water-resistant, lightly insulated (60 gram), moves well, and breathes. Great for layering, or on its own during transitional weather.

Rhodes Vibram 430 Mini Lug Lace Up Boot – $160 – $187 ($268)

Please read our Shoe Expert’s Review. Warning: It seems like something may have gone sideways, recently, with the Huckberry house shoe/boot brand Rhodes. Sure the materials are still great and they’re still made in the shoe/bootmaking hub of Leon Mexico, but the fit got wonky on these. Specifically, they’re too tight/run small/the insoles are overly thick and crowd the interior of the boots. And if you read some of the customer reviews on other models from this past season’s Rhodes run, it seem as though that issue may not be confined only to these service-style boots. Dang. Really have loved Rhodes for years now. Hopefully they figure this issue out fast. (A lot of us have happily switched to LUCA, which are impressively comfortable.) At least these Rhodes ship & return for free, if you wanna take a shot.

Flint and Tinder Italian Moleskin Shirt Jacket – $149 ($298)

Heavier than a flannel, but not some gigantic Mountain-scaling puffer. Somewhere in that great swath in-between. Soft, brushed cotton moleskin fabric sourced from Italy. Diamond quilted with Primaloft insulation.

F&T Stretch Selvedge Denim – $94 ($118)

There’s no break-in time, the weight (11.7 oz) is great for year-round wear, and they come in the four “HB” fits a lot of us have gotten used to (HB Slim, Athletic Tapered, Straight, and Classic). These are Flint and Tinder’s selvedge for the denim heads who don’t want to spend multiple hundreds on super-artisan jeans. Translation: these are made in China.

PROOF 72-Hour Merino Short Sleeve Henleys – $78 ($98)

Navy or Black. Know that they fit trim. A size large fits my 5’10″/180lbs perfect after washing/drying, whereas a medium is too small. Here’s why these are actually worth the price: Made from an odor-resistant and wicking merino wool blend which is also machine washable (and machine dryable as long as you can tumble dry low/keep an eye on it…) these henleys can go for three days of straight wear without starting to smell or feel funky. So they’re really three shirts in one. That’s why they were a must-add in our ol’ “what to pack when traveling light and in style” advice post.  The collars are great too, with those matte black snap buttons.

Walden Passage Sunglasses – $69 ($99)

These had been final sale, but at post time they’ve been moved back to regular sale, which means they can be returned. Which is key when buying eyewear over the internet. Just make sure they don’t slide ’em back over to final sale before you click “buy.”

Flint & Tinder 365 Pants in select colors – $86 ($108)

On-sale prices range from $70 – $86, but the vast majority of colors that are on sale are at $86. It just depends on the fit and color combo you’re after.

Even on sale they’re clearly not cheap like a pair of Old Navy 5-pockets, but they sell so many pairs of these things they almost never feel compelled to put them on sale. The build quality, the fabric, and the fit(s) are enough that they have garnered legions of fans who pay full price. So to get any sort of sale, especially in colors like Washed Grey and Washed Black and even Evergreen seems like a treat.

F&T The Jackson Quilted Jacket – $159 ($228)

F&T’s take on classic 1970’s style mountain-wear. Navy or Evergreen. Not made in the USA like their waxed truckers and rancher jackets. These are made in Vietnam.

LUCA Terra Moc Chukka Sneakers – $140 ($200)

Was on sale for $170, now down to $140. Chukka/Sneaker/Moc hybrids made with incredible materials and a real attention to detail in terms of construction. And comfortable. Really comfortable. A bestseller. Almost 5/5 stars after 200+ reviews.

F&T Fine Merino Sweater Hoodies – $88 – $103 ($148)

“Hoodie, but make it wool.” Blue is $103. Gray is $111.

Flint & Tinder James Waxed Snap Jacket – $138 ($198)

Like a lightened up version of their famous Waxed Truckers. Note that these aren’t made in the USA. Exterior is 11.9 oz Halley Stevensons Dry Finish Waxed Cotton Canvas, the cut is neither too slim nor too lose, and it’ll break in with wear to your individual usage.

Proof 72-Hour Merino 5-Pockets – $133 ($178)

Same fabric & colors as their 72-hour chinos, just made in a different pocket style. Also: These are only on sale in athletic tapered. Straight fits are full price. Not quite sure why they’re more expensive on sale ($133 vs $103 for the chino style), but that’s the nature of an end-of-season sale. It can get a little random.

LUCA Leather Terra Low Sneaker in Pebbled White/Off White – $156 ($195)

Made in Portugal. The materials and overall design are really impressive. Full review of a different (not on sale) color scheme can be found here. That pebbled white leather upper, off white sole, and leather heel tab looks all kinds of right.

Flint and Tinder Reversible Quilted Bomber – $136 ($228)

It’s two, two, TWO jackets in one. Colors are “Maple Brown” & “Black Coffee.” Which is far better marketing than using digestive-tract related descriptors. “This is my jacket. Some days I wear the #1 side out. Other days, #2. Life doesn’t have to be boring.”

Novesta Marathon Trail Retro Sneaker – $132 – $141 ($189)

Shades of the old Victory Sportswear Speedrunners… only not so darn expensive. Two colors. Made in Slovakia.

F&T Quilted Waxed Shirt Jacket – $144 ($288)

Flint and Tinder Quilted Waxed Shirt Jacket

Half off. Still ships and returns for free. British Millerain waxed canvas. Not made in the USA like their famous waxed trucker, but looks great from here all the same.

Nalgene 32 oz Wide Mouth Sustain Water Bottles – $11 ($16.99)

In case you’re tantalizingly close to their $98 free shipping threshold, don’t want to shell out the extra five bucks for shipping, and could use a new water bottle. Literally drinking out of one of these as I sit here, hammering away at the keyboard.

Flint & Tinder Rough Out Trucker – $558 ($798)

That’s quite the suede jacket. Not cheap, but suede or leather jackets aren’t cheap. Clearly (well) over the $98 free shipping threshold, so this ships and returns for free like a lot of the other stuff. But that’s always a plus when it’s an investment item like this.

Huckberry’s big Up to 40% off Winter Sale is set to run through Sunday 2/8… but as this is an end-of-season sale, expect a lot of this stuff to sell out (at least in popular sizes and colors) well before that.

Monday Men’s Sales Tripod – Billy Reid Clearance, Brooks Bros Cold Weather Sale, & More https://dappered.com/2026/01/monday-mens-sales-tripod-billy-reid-clearance-brooks-bros-cold-weather-sale-more/ Mon, 26 Jan 2026 11:00:34 +0000 https://dappered.com/?p=278470 Heads up: Buying via our links results in us getting a commission (not always, but just about), which helps keep the lights on around here. The Thursday Handfuls are great, but what if Monday (or Tuesday) rolls around and there are a few sales that can’t wait until the weekend? You’ll find three of the best, with a few picks from each, to start the week below.

GAP: 50% off + Extra 20% off select w/ ADDIT

GAP Tripod 12626

Sometimes it just doesn’t need to be complicated. That’s where GAP excels. Deal works out to 60% off MSRP, as that additional 20% comes off the half-off marked down price. That’s better than good for GAP. Works on their jeans as well as their khakis.

J. Crew FACTORY: Extra 70% off Final Sale w/ TAKE70

JCF Tripod 12626

Set to end tomorrow, Tuesday 1/27.. No returns or exchanges on any of this stuff. It’s the end of the line for their fall/winter gear, and they’d like to be rid of it.

Timex: 25% off select w/ FLASH25

Expires today. Small selection, but a couple of desirable models in there all the same.

Brooks Brothers: Up to 50% off select outerwear + cold weather accessories

Brooks Brothers Tripod Take 2 12626

Zero clue why they insist on categorizing those Performance Series Blazers as “outerwear.” Got in person with one, and… it’s a blazer/sportcoat. 59% Cotton, 35% Polyester, 6% Elastane fabric. Moves well. Size medium fit a little (too) trim on my 5’10″/180lbs, and I normally take a medium in “alpha” sized clothes. So if you’re a “smedium,” those blazers might work for you. Limited time event is set to end today, 1/26.

BONUS  Allen Edmonds “Surprise Sale” + 2 Day Specials

Allen Edmonds Tripod 12626

Careful now. Looks like AE has started to mix in a few final sale models here and there, like those suede Randolph loafers. No returns or exchanges on final sale stuff. Been awhile since they threw the “final sale” tag around. But! Those Espresso Park Avenues should ship/return for free. That’s a great price for first quality (read: not Shoebank 2nds) icons in a classic, dark brown. The 2-day Special Prices are set to expire today, 1/26/26.

BONUS II  Billy Reid: End of Season Sale + extra 25% off w/ LASTCHANCE

Billy Reid Tripod 12626

New markdowns have been taken on some items, and then they just dropped an additional 25% off with that LASTCHANCE code. Beware that it’s mostly Final Sale items which can’t be returned or exchanged. But there’s some regular sale stuff in there too. Sizes are limited at best.

The Weekly 10 is our top 10 list of the best individual item style deals for men. Part recap, but you may also see something you haven’t caught yet. Got a style tip? Send those into joe@dappered.com. Now let’s start the count down…

#10. Bonobos Galloway Wool-Cashmere Blazer – $279.50 w/ BIGSALE50 ($475)

Via: Bonobos Extra 50% off Sale w/ BIGSALE50 (exp. 1/25)

Recently restocked in a few common sizes for the windowpane pattern shown above. Not cheap, nor should it be. 90% Virgin Wool, 8% Cashmere, 2% Elastane from Italy’s Tollegno mill. Ships/returns for free.

#9. J. Crew FACTORY Suede Boots – $59.40 FINAL w/ TAKE70 ($100ish)

Via: J. Crew FACTORY Extra 70% off Final Sale Clearance w/ TAKE70 (exp 1/27)

A reminder that these are from J. Crew’s step-down, more affordable FACTORY brand (just like BR Factory is to Banana Republic), and therefore the quality and materials won’t be quite the same as the mainline brand. But they can make some real hits, and these suede boots in particular feel like a (cheap) winner. Made in India, suede is surprisingly nice, and they’re lined in leather. Fit feels true leaning trim. My normally 10.5 D (but borderline wide if I’m being honest) feet felt good in these right out of the box, but a bit snug through the forefoot. There’s a very small amount of texture on the ball of the foot (you can barely make it out in the pic above), but overall the soles are pretty smooth. Be prepared to be extra careful on wet or smooth surfaces (like carpet) until they scuff up. Woulda made it higher up this list but these are final sale, so no returns or exchanges. And final sale shoes are always a huge risk.

#8. J. Crew FACTORY Straight Fit Cords – $30.60 FINAL w/ TAKE70 ($50ish)

Via: J. Crew FACTORY Extra 70% off Final Sale Clearance w/ TAKE70 (exp 1/27)

Another final sale pick from JCF’s extra 70% off event. Four colors, straight fit, five pocket style.

#7. Johnston & Murphy Pebbled Leather Briefcase – $169.97 ($299)

Via: Nordstrom Rack New Arrivals

Trusted brand, reasonable price, and while it may not last a lifetime, it should get you through the current no hire/no fire* upheaval we’re stuck in. Would excel in both smart casual AND more dressed up workplaces. Has all the things a professional case should: good looking material (pebbled leather), two top grab handles for daily use, and a detachable shoulder strap for when you’ve got to carry other stuff/are hoofing it through an airport. It’s not a messenger bag. It’s not a backpack. It’s a soft sided briefcase. That’s good.

(*”no fire” may be wishful thinking at this point.)

#6. J. Crew 100% Merino Wool V-Necks – $58.50 ($118)

Via: J. Crew: 50% off select Last Call Winter Styles (exp 1/26)

Mainline J. Crew. Not Factory. And for whatever reason, these didn’t get much discount-love this year. So it’s nice to see them dropping under $60. Navy, black, or gray. 100% Merino wool.

#5. J. Crew FACTORY Cotton-blend Field Jacket – $60 FINAL w/ TAKE70 ($298)

Via: J. Crew FACTORY Extra 70% off Final Sale Clearance w/ TAKE70 (exp 1/27)

A budget-Barbour-lookalike. Final sale. No returns or exchanges. That’s why it’s priced the way it is.

#4. Crown & Buckle Supreme NATOs – $27.20 – $32.30 w/ CROWN15 ($32 – $38)

(Strap shown above: Black & Gunmetal Supreme NATO)

Via: Crown & Buckle 15% off sitewide w/ CROWN15 (exp 1/25)

Crown & Buckle’s supreme NATO straps are a noticeable, big step above the competition. They’re soft but still substantial. The hardware is nothing short of excellent. The edges don’t cut into your skin or feel rough/unfinished. There are lots of colors & stripes to pick from. And they’re almost never on sale. 15% off ends Sunday.

#3. Bonobos Dark Navy Plaid Jetsetter Italian Wool Suit – $294 w/ BIGSALE50 ($725)

Via: Bonobos Extra 50% off Sale w/ BIGSALE50 (exp. 1/25)

Dark blue tonal plaid suits are hugely underrated. They’re conservative but still interesting. And this one nails the look perfectly. Ships and returns for free too. Sold as separates, so you pick the size of the jacket and pants independently of each other. Sizes are starting to get scattered when it comes to the trousers, otherwise this probably would have been #1.

#2. Timex 41mm Metropolitan Chronograph – $149.25 ($199)

Via: Nordstrom new items added to their sale section

Some of us are suckers for a sharp, dressy chronograph. At 41mm, it’s not small, but it’s not ginormous either. 11mm thick isn’t razor thin, but it’s decently svelte. Quick release strap means you can easily swap out the stock brown leather for black leather when called for. That and as it’s on sale via mainline Nordstrom, it ships and returns for free.

#1. J. Crew Factory Merino wool-blend quarter-zips – $28.79 FINAL ($50ish)

Via: J. Crew FACTORY Extra 70% off Final Sale Clearance w/ TAKE70 (exp 1/27)

The flame of the Half-zip/Quarter-zip viral trend may be burning low, but the functionality of this incredibly basic/norm-core style is eternal. So much digital ink has been spilled in the last few months over such a humble style of sweater. Anyway, pretty nice price. 50% merino/50% acrylic. Five colors. Lots of sizes. Final sale, no returns or exchanges.

JCF: Extra 70% off FINAL SALE w/ TAKE70 (exp 1/27)

Sat. 1/24 UPDATE: This post originally ran in early January, but they’ve brought the sale back, and their clearance section is still pretty stocked up. Code TAKE70 now ends Tuesday January 27th.

Why anyone would want to wear only clothes mainly from one store, I don’t know. BUT. It does make for a fun experiment, especially when it comes to showing the versatility of some classic (or even trendy-ish) pieces. Or maybe you already have similar gear, and this can act as inspiration.

WARNING: This one’s for the gamblers. The true deal hunters… who are also willing to come up empty (or worse). Because all of the J. Crew Factory stuff below is FINAL sale. No returns or exchanges. None. Zilch. Once you purchase it, it’s yours, for better or for worse. But… tis the season for End-of-Winter clearance blowouts. And at 70% off… this is one of those.

Style Scenario: It’s really cold https://dappered.com/2026/01/style-scenario-its-really-cold-2/ Fri, 23 Jan 2026 17:54:17 +0000 https://dappered.com/?p=278483 Heads up: Buying via our links results in us getting a commission (not always, but just about), which helps keep the lights on around here. What are you going to wear? Sometimes it’s good to look at a few suggestions then add your own tweaks and ideas. That’s what these are for.

Please be careful out there. If it’s dangerously cold and/or snowy, you’ll know it. Stay in. Don’t risk it. Or if you absolutely have to go out in an arctic blast for some truly unavoidable reason… forget “style.” Layer up smartly, and stay as warm and dry as you can. (Amazon Essentials makes surprisingly good snow-bibs, which were used all the time when the Dappered Home offices were temporarily based in a town that gets eleven-feet of snow, annually.)

Style Scenario it’s really cold 2025

The Coat: UNIQLO Seamless Down Coat – $99.90Sleeping bag coat! This would be the occasion to use it.

The Swazer: Flint and Tinder Boiled Wool Chore Blazer – $248. Spendy, but perfect for this scenario. Boiled wool is dense enough to provide loft and insulation, yet airy enough to breathe and let out moisture. The less expensive option: Banana Republic Merino Sweater Bomber – $159.99 with extra 20% off sale deal ($250). The more affordable option: BR Factory Fisherman’s Sweater Jacket – $49.48 FINAL

The (possible) Bonus Layer: Amazon Essentials Puffer Vest – $30ish. It’s not a fashion statement via 2018. If it’s seriously cold and you have to somehow both look good and head out into the frigid air, consider layering a vest under your blazer.

The Shirt: Rhone Performance “Flannel” – $64.97 ($148). The problem with traditional cotton flannel shirts is that they just don’t breathe well. So if you’re moving around and start to sweat a little, your pits get soaked… and that’s it. Rhone is a performance wear brand that does a lot of more traditional menswear stuff. And these all performance/stretch “flannels” are one of them. The more affordable option: BRF Heavyweight Cotton Flannel – $29.98 FINAL

The Pants: Bonobos Brushed 5-Pocket Pants – $59.50 w/ BIGSALE50 ($110). Super soft Italian moleskin, which is a perfect fabric for this time of year. Not shown: A base layer/long underwear which wicks and breathes. Read: NOT old-school cotton waffle long-johns. You want something performance based so sweat doesn’t get stuck next to your skin, which would be a recipe for getting chilled at best, and hypothermia at worst.

The Sunglasses: Sunski Treelines – $98. Glacier shades. And those shields do easily pop off for wearing the sunglasses just as sunglasses. Shields are there to keep the glare from sneaking behind the frames. That said, they’ll limit your peripheral vision. So don’t get run over by a bus, please. Polarized lenses too.

The Gloves: Patagonia Nano Puff Mitts – $79. Yes, mittens. Don’t mess with your extremities/digits in the cold. Hands are like feet, only attached to your wrists (profound, I know). You need them, and they can get cold and damaged easily.

The Watch: Casio Diver – $60ish on a Crown & Buckle Supreme Nato – $32.30 w/ CROWN15 ($38). Because fumbling for your phone in the bitter cold could result in you losing it in a snowbank. That, and it’s nice to know how long you’ve been outside shoveling.

The Boots: Sorel 1964 Pac Nylon Waterproof Snow Boot – $139.99 ($180). Keep your fancy dress or heritage work-styled boots on the shelf when it’s bitter, bitter cold. These are insulated and waterproof. Removable 9mm washable recycled felt inner boot. They’ve also got a classic, retro look to them.

The Socks: Made in the USA Darn Tough Heavyweight Hunting Socks – $35. This is all for nothing if you don’t protect your feet.

The Hat & Scarf: Made in the USA Oak Street 1975 NATO Watch Cap + Marine Scarf – $76.80 ($96). Bit of a splurge, but as authentic as it gets. Knit in the USA.

Cashmere Blazers, Chronograph Dress Watches, & More – The Thurs. Sales Handful https://dappered.com/2026/01/cashmere-blazers-chronograph-dress-watches-more-the-thurs-sales-handful/ Thu, 22 Jan 2026 11:00:33 +0000 https://dappered.com/?p=278440 Heads up: Buying via our links results in us getting a commission (not always, but just about), which helps keep the lights on around here. Sales that deserve some attention heading into the weekend or a bit earlier. Five of the better sales are below, plus bonus sales if need be. Included are a few picks worth pointing out.

Nordstrom: New Items added to sale

Nordstrom Handful 12226

This is mainline Nordstrom, not their off-price/outlet styled Nordstrom Rack. Translation: This stuff ships AND returns for free.

Banana Republic: Extra 30% off sale items (ends 1/22)

Banana Republic Handful 12226

Set to end today, Thursday 1/22. Unlike some of their competitors, Banana Republic’s sale section isn’t perpetually on double sale. So an extra 30% off while there’s at least some stock left is decent. Picks above weren’t final sale at post time. But that could change. As always, anything tagged as final sale can’t be returned or exchanged.

J. Crew: 50% off select Last Call Winter Styles

J. Crew Handful 12226

A few more picks from this sale which was first mentioned here. Do keep an eye out for any items that quickly get turned to Final Sale. Once they get that label, they can’t be returned or exchanged. If that happens, you should be able to see a FINAL SALE tag in the size-selection drop down menu as well as a note near the item once it hits your cart.

Bonobos: Extra 50% off Sale w/ BIGSALE50 (ends Sunday)

bonobos Handful 12226

Cold weather texture on the left, warm weather sharp luxury on the right. Full original picks are here, although a lot of that stuff sold out pretty quick. Sale ends this Sunday.

Oliver Wicks: Up to $200 off w/ WINTER26

Oliver Wicks Handful 12226

More tailoring, but this of the online MTO variety. Big fan of Oliver Wicks. They’re one of those companies where you take a bunch of measurements and snap a few photos of your posture, upload that to their platform, pick a fabric and a bunch of options (lining color, pockets, lapel style, etc…) and then they get to work on making a suit for you. Last time I (the Joe guy) purchased suits from them a couple months back, they were made in/shipped from a factory in Portugal. Full honesty: It’s not the most simple process, as you gotta be careful and measure and work with their customer service team, but the results can be excellent for those who are hard to fit. And they use really nice fabrics too. Super 150s Vitale Barberis Canonico wool is nothing to sneeze at. Not sure when this sale ends. Limit one suit per customer.

Also worth a mention:

  • Todd Snyder: Additional 40% off sale & FINAL sale w/ EXTRA40
  • Orient: 15% off w/ NEWYEAR26

J. Crew: 50% off select Winter Styles (coats, hats, sweaters, etc.) https://dappered.com/2026/01/j-crew-50-off-select-winter-styles-coats-hats-sweaters-etc/ Wed, 21 Jan 2026 13:00:00 +0000 https://dappered.com/?p=278412 Heads up: Buying via our links results in us getting a commission (not always, but just about), which helps keep the lights on around here. 50% off select Last Call (but not final sale?) Winter Styles

J. Crew: “Boy winter sure is wrapping up, isn’t it?”

Everyone else: “Pardon? I can’t hear you over the sleet in my ears.”

Timing is, as they say, everything. And even though much of the U.S. is getting slammed by icy cold at present, the Vernal Equinox is less than 2 months away.

“Cold comfort” indeed.

Bottom line: This is a really nice sale, because it’s a Black-Friday-like, maxed out discount for J. Crew. Usually they run 30% or 40% off their full-price, in-season stock. Anything more than that and they’ll tag it as final sale. *And at post time most of this stuff isn’t final sale yet.* That’s key. So it can be returned/exchanged. Yes you may be able to get one of these items cheaper in a few weeks once it hits final sale status, but at that point you’ll be stuck with it, even if it doesn’t fit.

Returns in store are free. Other than that you’ll be out a $7.50 pre-paid label. Button up. Stay warm. Let’s go.

100% Merino Wool V-Necks – $58.50 ($118)

For whatever reason, these didn’t get much discount-love this year. So it’s nice to see them dropping under $60. Navy, black, or gray. Merino wool. Yes one can certainly find cheaper options out there, but perhaps these are worth the upcharge over the competition. From reader Toby R.: “I’ve always found J. Crew’s wool sweaters to hit really well at the ‘somewhat budget conscious but also wanting to look nice while being long-lasting and functional’ intersection.”

Suede Field Boots – $172.50 ($348)

Consider sizing up by half. New for this year. Review of the previous version can be found here, when they were making them in a darker suede. Richer and (even) more eye catching this go-round. Seems like they still may run half a size small.

Slim, Classic, or Tall Fit Vintage-wash Cotton Henleys – $37.50 ($75)

A customer favorite. Their standard weight henleys. Henleys are great, and J. Crew’s vintage-wash fabric has its fans. Not super thick or bulky. Eight colors to choose from.

Dock Peacoat – $248.50 $223.99 FINAL w/ SHOPSALE ($498)

Friday Update: As predicted, some of these items have gotten shifted into their final sale section. The Dock Peacoats are one of those items. They’re now final sale, you’ll need to use that code, and they cannot be returned or exchanged anymore.

Also shown at the very top of the post. Perfectly placed chest-high handwarmer pockets, 80% wool / 20% nylon fabric, and PrimaLoft insulation. Size shown at the very top of the post is a size medium on 5’10″/180.

Seaboard Soft-knit Shirts – $58.50 ($118)

One of their bestsellers. 4.8/5 stars after 1000 reviews. Classic work-shirt style, but “impossibly soft and stretchy” thanks to the yarn used and knit construction. So instead of it being woven like a poplin, it’s knit more like a tee or sweater. Tons of patterns and a few solids to pick from.

100% Cashmere Beanies – $44.50 ($89.50)

All cashmere, six colors, and extremely well reviewed.

Select Made in Italy 97% Cashmere / 3% Wool Scarves – $58.50 ($118)

And the scarves to go with the hats.

Stretch Corduroy 5-Pocket Pants in Straight Fit – $58.50 ($118)

Five pocket jean-like styling. Hard to beat a pair of cords this time of year.

Stretch Corduroy Trousers in Straight Fit – $58.50 ($118)

And the trouserfied version. Meaning: pockets are like chinos or dress pants, instead of the jean like 5-pocket style. These have slashes up front and welts in the rear.

Rivington Single-Breasted Topcoat in Italian 95% wool / 5% cashmere – $249.50 ($598) 58% off

Black or navy. Something to go over a suit, or frankly, anything than else. Topcoats look just as good over a sweater and jeans as they do over a suit. Lots of class in a simple, 95% wool/5% cashmere package.

Tech Pants in Straight or Slim Fit – $62.50 ($128)

Of of their bestsellers. They’re comfortable. They move well. Hidden side seam zip pocket. Interior gel gripper waistband detail to help keep shirts tucked. Clean, snap front closure. Performance + cotton blend fabric. Not full performance. Which many prefer, as it avoids the sometimes but not always “plasticky” look of some full performance fabric pants.

Wool Barn Jacket – $162.50 ($325) 50% off

One of J. Crew’s heritage/flagship styles of outerwear… only in wool. Limited sizes. These’ll probably sell out.

Slim Fit Bergen 5 Pocket Pants – $58.50 ($118)

J. Crew’s new revamped 5 pockets. Something that’s in-between classic chinos and jeans. It’s the style of pants a lot of us reach for multiple times a week if not almost every day. 97% cotton/3% elastane.

Sportcoat in Broken Herringbone English Wool – $249.50 ($598) 58% off

100% wool from England’s Moon mills. Broken herringbone is a little easier on the eyes than true herringbone. Base grey = goes with everything.

Classic Creased Wool Trouser – $88.50 ($178)

Classic fit, 100% wool, and a work-appropriate higher rise. Charcoal or navy.

60/40 Barn Jacket – $98.50 ($198)

60% cotton / 40% recycled polyamide for a bit of extra water resistance. Great for the wet, gross months ahead.

The 50% off select “Last Call Winter Styles” J. Crew event is set to run through Monday, 1/26. NOTE: J. Crew can change regular sale stuff to “final sale” status on a dime. So be careful. If that happens we’ll do our best to update this post ASAP, but in case they flip status on some of these picks, remember that anything tagged as final sale can’t be returned or exchanged.

Welcome to what is often labeled the unhappiest time of the year. (Pseudo) Science says so! Late January/Early February is often cold, dark, dreary, sloppy, messy, and bleak. Which means it’s a perfect time to dress well, as there’s absolutely no reason at all to do so. A little bit of intentional (but not obnoxious) color can brighten a room. So at least for now, we’re gonna shelve much of the charcoal and gray and black and try to liven things up a little. Key word = little. It’s not a Kentucky Derby party. It’s still the dead of winter.

Secret Wash Shirts in Navy + Blue + White = $46.50 FINAL w/ WEEKEND ($98)

These are a bit buried in J. Crew’s Buy 3 get 70% off Final Sale section, but once you find them and pick theright” colors, you can end up getting three of their bestselling Secret Wash shirts for $15.50 per shirt when you apply the code WEEKEND:

Combo shown = $46.50 total when you apply the additional 70% off promo. NOTE: If you decided to go with three white shirts, or one white shirt and two “waterfall” (lighter) blue, then obviously the total will be higher as the shirts are all priced differently.

But one white, one light blue, and one darker blue seems to be about as versatile as it gets.

Remember, final means final, so no returns or exchanges. No mediums available at post time on the slim white and light blues, but large and small are available. And there are mediums available on the navy and some other colors/fits. Available in slim, classic, tall, and untucked fits.

Outbound shipping should be free for their Passport Rewards club members.

That’s all.

Carry on.
